Update v1.3.3 — The Store Finally Sounds Alive
🔊 Audio Overhaul Your staff now actually makes noise while they work — the stocker placing products and hauling boxes, the janitor sweeping, mopping and blasting the fire extinguisher, the cashier ringing customers up item by item, and the security guard throwing hands during raids. Basement machines got a smoother voice: processing hums no longer stutter or cut off harshly as you move around the workshop, machines wind down instead of stopping dead, and finished products audibly tumble out of the chute. Sound now respects the building: what happens upstairs stays (mostly) upstairs. Working in the basement, the store above is a faint murmur instead of playing in your ear — and vice versa. Footsteps and raid chaos still carry through the floor, on purpose. You'll want to know about that. Fires now crackle properly indoors, and a fresh volume balance pass across cleaning tools, the door chime, and more. ⚡ The Basement Draws Power When a machine kicks on, the basement lights sag, flicker, and climb back up. The goo doesn't process itself cheaply. 🚶 Smoother Shoppers Customers no longer ice-skate on frozen feet when they get blocked, squeeze past each other, turn, or stop — they take actual steps now, including little shuffles when jostled in the checkout queue. 🔧 Fixes & Balance Your rifle finally remembers its magazine — loaded ammo is saved and restored correctly across sessions, with no more mysteriously empty (or mysteriously refilled) mags. Steady Aim has moved off the sprint key — it now defaults to Caps Lock and can be rebound in Settings. Hunter Boots rebalanced to a +30% speed bonus. Fixed a visual glitch when a certain someone makes an appearance in the forest. Fixed basement machine screen quirks: double-click transfer working reliably and inventory icons no longer growing with repeated drags.Read full article on Community Announcements (VML Studios)Patch NotesOfficial
Goo Deer — v1.3.2
New - Steady Aim — hold your breath while aiming down sights for a steadier shot. Costs stamina, and the key is rebindable in Settings. - Hunter Boots — a one-time purchase at the woods cabin that permanently boosts your movement speed. - Traps now have proper audio — throwing, landing, and picking up all sound like they should. Improvements - Customers and staff walk naturally — fixed sliding, floating feet, and stiff gaits across all NPCs. - Lower memory use and smoother loading: reworked audio import for large sounds and 99 effects, and enabled texture streaming on High and Ultra. - Smaller install — stripped a large amount of unused content from the build. Fixes - Big save-reliability batch: Steam Cloud syncing is now much more robust across machines, failed loads can no longer destroy saved data, and permadeath cleanup is consistent everywhere. - Loading an older save no longer resets your "Hire an Employee" tutorial progress. - The "Game saved" confirmation now only appears when the game actually saved. - Fixed music permanently cutting out if it restarted during a scene transition. - The Deer Man's final hunt no longer quietly locks itself again if the confrontation runs past midnight — and the warning you get for shooting him too early now hints at what's coming instead of lying to you. - Felled deer now stay where they dropped, their eyes go dark, and they're harvestable exactly where the body lies. - Janitors and hired cleaners no longer get shoved off their task by passing crowds. - Fixed several ways customers, stockers, and deliveries could get permanently stuck mid-task. - Fixed a rare soft-lock when leaving cashier mode. - HUD notifications (salary payments, warnings) are no longer lost if they arrive during a cutscene. - Steam Deck: menu navigation now works correctly when the controller presents itself as a keyboard. As always — report anything weird, and good hunting. 🦌 Join us on Discord: https://discord.gg/rvty8j7PwJRead full article on Community Announcements (VML Studios)
