About this game

DWARF GUILD MANIA

Build your guild. Grow your empire. Crush your rivals.

Dwarf Guild Mania is a turn-based grand strategy game where wealth, diplomacy, espionage and warfare collide.

Start as a small dwarven guild and fight your way to the top. Discover valuable resources, build settlements, dominate trade, forge alliances, manipulate rival powers, send spies behind enemy lines, and raise armies to take what you want.

Exploit everything and everyone.

BUILD AN EMPIRE

Transform a modest guild into a powerful Dominion, Kingdom, and eventually an Empire.

  • Explore & Exploit — Discover rare gems, resources and lucrative territories.

  • Build Your Economy — Establish settlements, mines and production networks.

  • Master the Market — Trade, invest, manipulate supply and demand, and build your fortune.

  • Use Espionage — Steal from rivals, sabotage their economies, gather intelligence.

  • Forge Alliances — Build alliances, negotiate pacts, send aid and shape international politics.

  • Wage War — Raise armies, invade rival realms and reshape the map by force.

DIPLOMACY IS A WEAPON

Not every war needs to be fought on the battlefield.

Build alliances. Make deals. Threaten your neighbors. Fund your friends. Gather intelligence. Turn rival powers against one another. Or betray them when the time is right. The political landscape constantly changes.

WAR CHANGES EVERYTHING

When diplomacy fails, bring the army.

Conquer valuable territory, destroy rival powers and expand your borders. But war comes at a cost. Armies require resources, economies suffer, and every conflict can create new enemies.

A stronger army doesn't always win, defensive positions, strategy, & surprise all make the difference.

EVERY GAME TELLS A DIFFERENT STORY

Every world is procedurally generated. Every rival has their own ambitions. Every game creates new opportunities, enemies and alliances.

  • Become a merchant Kingdom.

  • Build an industrial Empire.

  • Manipulate the world from the shadows.

  • Create a diplomatic superpower.

  • Or conquer it all.

How you build your empire is up to you.

For the Guild!

Update 1.3 - War, Diplomacy, & Great Empires

Hello Guildmasters,Today we proudly bring you our biggest update to date, 1.3. This update largely focuses on the new mechanics of war and diplomacy, although we bring many new features to enhance everything from trade to espionage to customization of your guild.War & DiplomacyInteract with other guilds with the new diplomacy mechanic. Guilds will have both an opinion of you as well as a diplomatic stance all based on your past actions as well as the personality of each guild. Propose alliances, Send Warnings, Declare War, and so much more. You can improve relations with other players using a new unit - the diplomat. The diplomat has a number of other actions we'll touch on later in the post.Oh and did we mention - you can now progress from being a small guild to a Dominion, Kingdom, and finally an Empire. Upgrading your realm will grant bonuses and unlock new features. When diplomacy fails or you simply don't like your neighbor then send in the army. Using the Military menu you will be able to create armies and assign regiments to them. Different regiments have different stats and dictate your armies strength and weaknesses. Above you will see an ongoing battle. Battles progress through phases until one army has been shattered or every soldier within it killed. Of course if you dont want to see a battle play out then you can quick resolve it.Armies can be instructed to train, improving their experience and giving them buffs. They can also be told to entrench, pillage, and loot. Armies can be renamed.HeraldryHeraldry is the art of creating a coat of arms. While this brings only a small cosmetic change to the game we think it's too cool not to feature. When creating your guild you may create a coat of arms. These appear on the map over your land. Clicking on another players coat of arms will bring up its diplomacy panel.Control, Rebellion & Building Upgrades. We have reworked the tile menu. Tile stats (such as population, prosperity, etc) now appear on the same menu as...

Dwarf Guild Mania - Update 1.2.1

Hello Guildmasters,Today we bring you a fun update with plenty of new major feature but also some critical changes to the AI, UI. and performance of DGM.Major UpdatesFarmsAdded a new buildable feature - farms. Farms produce food and require 100 pops to operate. Farms cost 25k gold and 80 construction materials to be built. They have a base production of 50 food. Farms are influenced by a tiles farmability (golden steppe and plains have higher farmability than aether, badlands, or mountains).Population SystemAdded population as a new core resources. Population is calculated based on tiles owned by each player. Each tile contributes to the total population of the guild. Population also replaces grunts as the staff for all production facilities. Populations require food to operate facilities. Grunts are still produced by dwarf camps but are no longer used by production facilities. (Note that grunts do not have a function in 1.2.1 but will become a core resource once again in the next update. Their military prowess hints at the nature of this future update).Populations decrease based on attrition which is now calculated at the tile level. Populations increase based on the birth rate of the tile. The Advisor Added the advisor which now gives structured and ordered tips to the player. This replaces the tutorial system previously in place. Acknowledging tips will prompt the next one in the queue. The advisor can be disabled for the entire game at any point. World InitialisationThe beginning of the game has been tweaked and changed. The game now starts with a total of 20 players. Each player is spread around the realm and has its own set of revealed tiles, no longer are they shared. Cities are spread across the realm too and may be inaccessible to some ai players causing them to die off early.Minor UpdatesPolitical border rendering is now shader based improving performance."Unprospected" is now known as "Unsurveyed".Tile Selector now shows tile farmability, vein quality, po...

Left clicking any tile will bring up the production or city menu if that tile contains either a mine or a city. It will then cycle to the unit menu if that tile also contains a unit belonging to the player. Finally it will cycle to the tile selection menu. This menu shows the ownership and resource status of the tile as well as any features or units present there.UI ReworkThe UI of the game has been reworked in a number of w...
