Navigate the tense negotiations as a prisoner under the Eye's watchful gaze. Outwit the Major in strategic card games, balancing truth and lies in this indie adventure from StorkNest Games.
About this game
In Under The Eye, you play cards against a ruthless Major of the state police,
all while being interrogated about the resistance you're part of. Being caught in
a lie will result in immediate personal consequences, but telling the truth will hurt
your cause and the people fighting for it.
Manage the Major's patience and the strength
of the resistance while fighting to win as many rounds of the game as possible. Abandon your
morals to save your skin or risk your life to secure the future of the next generations to come.
The game is a mainly narrative experience and will feature multiple endings,
all depending on your choices during the interrogation and your skill at the table.
The game will take place over the course of 5-7 days, where you will shape the outcome
of the conflict. You will be able to witness the state of the world around you through cutscenes,
newspapers, documents, dialogue with the Major and details scattered around the room.

FIrst actual devlog and some personal words
PERSONAL WORDS:I know it's been a while since the last steam news update, but not THAT long. I'd post way more often if I knew people are actually interested, but if you're a dev as well, you probably know these posts are more so that the game doesn't seem dead. Either way, the game and the project are far from dead. I can assure you, this is our number 1 priority. All we talk about is the game. All we've been doing for a while is working on the game. We go to sleep thinking about the game.I really want our playerbase to be the one that helps us make decisions. I want to build a community and hear the opinion of everyone who's interested in our game before we do x and y. We don't have any shareholders to bow down to (yet ːsteammockingː), so we'd be very happy to bow down to you and your ideas and suggestions. Discord is here: https://discord.gg/mMjwGJswte. I prefer to use these posts as me talking to a friend rather than pretending I'm some professional social media manager or whatever. On another note, the demo is taking so long because I want it to be perfect. I'd rather delay for a while and have a great demo than throw some half baked version out there. I really hope you understand. I believe we have the leeway for this since we're just two guys. This is our first game ever. We don't have a billion people waiting for it (not yet, hopefully). I really don't want to disappoint the few people who wishlisted and are waiting for the game, but I really don't want to launch anything broken either. We already made this mistake before and the feedback was pretty brutal. We learned from our mistakes and we're gonna make this into an amazing game. Pinky promise. 100 wishlists or 100k, we're gonna do our best to deliver. If one person plays and enjoys it, we're happy.DEVLOG:Capsule Art: We finally changed the capsule art. The old one was a screenshot from the game that we quantized and changed the hue to red in paint.net. It looked pretty bad but it was functional. Demo V2 Coming Soon
The new demo has been taking a bit longer than expected, especially with all the exams and finals we had to take in the past months. But, since we got over those, we've been working on the new demo a lot more. If everything goes well, it'll be here in about 4-5 weeks. The last devlog was months ago but that doesn't mean we've stopped working, quite the opposite. I just don't like making devlogs for every small thing, but it's not very healthy for the game and the community, so I'll post updates more often. We had to change a lot of stuff and mechanics and simplify the core card gameplay, on top of adding a lot of quality of life improvements and better, more intuitive gameplay and better UI. The biggest change was probably removing the vending machine barely anyone used and replacing it with the Major's computer; serving as a place to discover more about the world and the lore. Entries will be unlocked as you play. The biggest addition however has to be the interrogation system. We've raised the stakes of the card game beyond the table, through the resistance movement you have to protect by lying to the Major. Every x round, the Major will ask you about certain people or information valuable to the resistance. On top of that, we've started building cutscenes and expanded on the lore, so the world outside of the room feels alive and lived in. The cutscenes are the ones that take the longest to make but they're necessary for the storytelling element we really want to focus on, highlighting the brutality and oppression of the world. That's all for now. Thank you for reading, and I'll post another in the coming days. -VadimRead full article on Community Announcements (storknestgames)AnnouncementsOfficial
We Hear You: Announcing Demo V2 & Release Delay
Hey everyone,We’ve been closely watching the performance of our first demo, and we’re going to be straight with you: it didn’t quite hit the mark we wanted. We’ve received a lot of brutal, honest, and incredibly helpful feedback from those who sat down to play it. The core of the game is there, but the execution needs more time to ensure the tension, the card logic, and the overall atmosphere feel exactly right.Because of this, we are officially pushing back the full release date for Under The Eye.Instead of rushing out a flawed game, we are putting all our focus into a complete overhaul: Demo V2. We are going back through the balancing, adjusting the mechanics based on your reports, and making sure the stakes feel as high as they should before we launch. We want to deeply thank everyone who took the time to break the first demo and share their thoughts. Your feedback is actively making this game better.Demo V2 will be dropping soon. We hope you'll return to the table to see the changes.Read full article on Community Announcements (storknestgames)AnnouncementsOfficial
Demo 0.2 Out Now!
The demoSo the demo has been out for a couple of days, but we figured we'd give it a decently sized update before moving on with the full game. We tried delaying the first launch since we were a bit anxious about sharing before making sure everything is perfect. We were also worried people might think the game is dead or abandoned, since we haven't posted any updates or really had any presence. We knew we had to do it eventually, and like we say in Romania, "with shyness, you can only starve", so here it is, the demo 0.2, or maybe 2.0 (I'm not so sure about the naming conventions); AND the first announcement/devlog. Anyway, it should be fully playable and ready to go, if our testing was right. If we somehow missed any major bugs or anything, please let us know. We'll be very quick to fix them so we can finally start working on the full game. The futureWe have a lot planned for the full game. It might look like only a card game, but we want to make it so much more. We want this to be it's own universe, with lore, factions, countries etc. The main loop is probably gonna be 5-7 days, where each day you play a match against the Major. You have to survive until the last day, meaning if you lose the 4th day's match, you have to start over from day 1 (if you didn't save). We're still thinking about this, it's not set in stone, we'd be happy to take feedback or ideas. The first thing I'm probably gonna do after this is work on the outside events. Right now there's only sounds, some soldiers, a jet, a truck and an APC that sell the situation outside. I want to make it progressively worsen day by day. Maybe light riots on day 1 and by day 5 it's gonna be complete chaos. Maybe also add subtitles for the radio and record unique lines that match perfectly with everything that's happening. You'll be able to witness everything outside the window and through cues around the room.I know you've heard it all before, but a wishlist would genuinely help us immensely, so in case you haven...Read full article on Community Announcements (storknestgames)
