About this game

An SRPG Blending Strategy Depth and Tactical Combat

  • The hex‑grid map significantly enhances strategic depth.

  • Unit action order is determined by a combination of factors including mecha performance, pilot abilities, and chosen actions.

  • The component‑based damage system tests the player’s judgment: disable an enemy’s hands to prevent weapon use, destroy the legs to limit mobility, damage the head to weaken targeting capabilities, or directly breach the heavily armored body to neutralize the unit entirely.

Deep Mecha Customization and Weapon Systems

  • RAIVs developed by different manufacturers possess unique characteristics. Players can freely swap components between models to forge the ultimate war machine.

  • Load capacity, energy consumption, radar capability, weapon mount interfaces...every specification interacts and restricts the others. Whether creating a specialized super‑weapon or a well‑balanced all‑rounder, designing the strongest RAIV is a challenge in itself.

  • Bipedal, wheeled, tracked...different mobility types adapt to varied terrains while impacting load capacity and endurance.

  • Melee, projectile, missiles, lasers...diverse weapon systems not only vary in damage characteristics and attack patterns but also demand consideration of ammunition or energy capacity during RAIV design.

A Story Woven by Distinctive Characters

  • A classic heroic tale begins with a single encounter, unfolding into a grand and gripping adventure brought to life by a cast of vivid, memorable characters.

  • Set in a near‑future sci‑fi world that straddles reality and fiction, imminent crises, and the deeper truths hidden beneath turbulent events will gradually unfold as players progress through their adventure.

Story

By the late 2020s, all-solid-state batteries entered mass production and widespread adoption, eliminating power limitations for manned robots. Robotic autonomous interactive vehicles (RAIVs) began extensive deployment in transportation, construction, and even military applications.

In the year 2037 AD, before nuclear fusion power achieved practical application, armed conflict erupted in low Earth orbit between the world’s two major blocs, the Pan-Asia Democratic Cooperative (PadCo) and the Atlantic Treaty Alliance (ATA). This directly caused the complete collapse of the global satellite system. Although major powers immediately halted large-scale combat, regional conflicts persisted. As the primary hostilities concluded within a week, posterity dubbed this period “Seven Days' Conflict.”

The destruction of infrastructure triggered widespread energy and food crises. To prevent humanity from spiraling into a self‑destructive cycle of war, Maxwell, an entrepreneur originally dedicated to deep‑space exploration, secretly invested massive funds to establish the multinational military organization Yggdrasil. Operating covertly across the globe, Yggdrasil sought to maintain a fragile balance in world affairs, preventing excessive escalation between opposing factions that could lead to irreversible consequences.

In 2038, Yggdrasil’s Skuld Squad is carrying out a mission to escort a key physicist. No one could have foreseen that, from this moment onward, the gears of humanity’s destiny would begin to turn…

This devlog takes a closer look at the unique weapon mounting system, along with the development roadmap.Feel free to add it to your wishlist to stay updated on development and release updates.Weapon Mounting SystemRAIV, the huge humanoid weapon which is the combat unit in the game, is composed of five parts: head, body, left arm, right arm, and legs. Each part can mount up to two weapons, though the exact capacity varies depending on the models from different manufacturers.Weapon mounting interfaces come in multiple protocols, and weapons can only be equipped on compatible slots. When selecting a target to attack, all mounted weapons capable of attacking will be listed for quick switching (And yes, there may be situations in battle where discarding certain weapons becomes the optimal choice...).Development RoadmapThe core combat system is largely complete. Devlog #1 - One-Man Army

Hello everyone, this is Atelier Breezen.Thank you very much for your interest in Azure Infinity. This is the very first development log for the project. To coincide with the launch of the Steam page, I’d like to briefly introduce the current state of development. Please add it to your wishlist if you're interested in this game, to follow the latest updates on development and release.About Atelier Breezen and Its Sole DeveloperDespite the name including “Atelier,” the development team consists of just one person, me, the author of this devlog. So allow me to start with a brief self‑introduction.I’ve been a gamer for over 30 years. My first encounter with games was on the NES, and I still vividly remember being completely absorbed in the Game Boy I bought with my saved New Year’s money as a child, playing 2nd Super Robot Wars G. After entering the workforce, I went on to experience every major platform, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC, and my passion for games has never faded. Growing up alongside games, I’ve continued to hold onto the childhood dream of “creating my dream game.”Among all the genres I’ve played over the years, SRPGs have become one of my greatest loves. Super Robot Wars, Fire Emblem, Front Mission, Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics… these masterpieces have left a deep and lasting impression on me.Robots and weaponry hold a special kind of romance for many people, from children to adults. Naturally, creating a robot themed SRPG became my long‑standing dream,.The concept first came to me back in junior high school. I flipped through a dictionary to choose the title Azure Anger and even sketched a logo in my notebook. Unfortunately, due to various circumstances, the idea never materialized. Even so, the desire to include “Azure” in the title of my “dream game” has remained unchanged ever since. And now, that long‑held wish has taken shape as Azure Infinity. The Philosophy and Development of This GameAfter a lengthy introduction, let's get to the main po...
