About this game
From the creators of Rusted Moss, Iron Bramble is a momentum-based metroidvania built around expressive movement and tight gunplay. Master your elastic grappling hook to explore a vast, cyber-gothic megastructure, where robots piloted by the souls of the dead do penance for their sins.
Get hooked on a new grapplevania!
Challenging to learn, rewarding to master. Propelled by your momentum, this physics-based, elastic grappling hook is one of the most expressive movement systems found in any metroidvania.
Be creative! Fling yourself through the air or close the distance by grappling your enemies, shotgun at the ready. Plus, platforming challenges have no intended solutions.
Master the hook and break the game.
Flowing, acrobatic movement… with GUNS!
Find a rocket launcher? Sure, you can blow up your enemies, but you can also use it to ROCKET JUMP! Combine that with bunny hopping and you can build your momentum for overwhelming speed.
Movement and combat blend in an aerial ballet.
Swing, flip, soar and slide, or propel yourself with knockback from your gun — get into the flow state with your acrobatic moveset as you blast apart your enemies.
Customise your playstyle
Change your loadout with pretty (or ugly) frocks, trinkets and an armoury of guns, guns, guns.
There are also accessibility options — feel free to fine-tune to your preferred settings or pick a preset (including story mode).
Delve into a cyber-gothic fairy tale
In the mysterious Iron Bramble, robots are piloted by the souls of the dead, trapped in eternal repentance for sins they don’t remember.
Have you truly found a way into Hell? Who is the sleeping princess at the centre of it all? And will you ever find a frock that’s as pretty as you?

Iron Bramble - Coming to Steam in 2027!
Hello everybody! Wishlist Iron Bramble to support us now! (I’m just going to lead with this while I still have your attention before I senselessly ramble on.) Very excited to finally be able to publicly talk about Iron Bramble, a new grappling hook metroidvania that we’ve been working on for the past few months. We wanted to make a metroidvania with a focus on momentum based platforming and crazy physics that lets players go nuts without the traditional upgrades like double jumps and dashes. Iron Bramble is the spiritual successor to Rusted Moss, another grappling hook metroidvania we released a few years back. Rusted Moss was meant to be a small experimental game. As most games do, it quickly became the victim of scope creep and we were surprised that we somehow ended up with a full game that got released on Steam. Since Rusted Moss’ initial release, we added in free DLC that amounted to 10+ extra hours of content and two new playable characters. Though we were certain we would not make a sequel, I think it became clear to us that we were not done exploring the unique grappling mechanic (and rocket jumps!) to its fullest. The results…. Iron Bramble, a spiritual successor and not sequel. For those Rusted Moss players that have followed us onto this project - thank you so much! We wouldn’t have started development on Iron Bramble without all of your support. I think seeing the speedruns, the mods and custom levels players have made, the positive feedback we’ve gotten, were all really encouraging to us to give this thing another go. We brought on two new members to our team (Riuku and Hokori) to help us out with the larger scope we have planned (More news on that later…). Iron Bramble will be made with 100% human suffering, no AI used! And for anybody wanting to help support our project, please wishlist Iron Bramble and spread the word! Want to stay up to date with development? Uh… pick your poison. There’s so many platforms nowadays….
