Clean rooms and fill reports while navigating haunted hallways in Room Service, an indie experience where your survival skills are tested at night.

About this game

Read the official game contract below. It outlines the terms, world rules, and player responsibilities.

Room Service is a first-person psychological horror game with anomaly-hunting and job simulation elements.

Your job is simple, clean the rooms if they are not haunted. If you see any movement in a room, well, you should leave. Immediately. And please report it.

Do your job diligently. Here at Silver Pine Hotel we maintain the highest standards of service. If you fail to uphold them, you will be replaced.

Do not forget the paperwork. If you notice unusual activity in a room, it is your duty to report it.

And remember, you are the only one working the night shift.

    Demo Submitted for Steam Review

If you know the feeling of anticipation and expectation when it comes to a video game, we can proudly say that the feeling is equal in both waiting for a game to come out AND getting a game ready to come out!We have finally tested our game thoroughly and polished it enough that we deemed it was worthy of submitting the demo to Steam. We’re eagerly waiting for review and soon you’ll be able to play it yourself! And while we are waiting for approval we are eager to share some great news! Sound Design After posting about the game on our social media, we got in touch with an amazing sound designer Kaan Salman who improved all the sounds for our game. We originally wanted to post the demo a bit earlier, but Kaan worked so fast and delivered amazing sound effects and ambiance sounds so we decided to implement them before the demo release. With everything cooked up, we even got scared ourselves. And we did the cooking! We have also made some major improvements to the game from both a technical and gameplay standpoint:The MaidCompletely renewed and improved her AIIs now quite responsive to players' eyes being opened or closed Reaction to player being in a safe area is also improvedGetting caught by the Maid is now scary (we added death animation) Improved UIVastly improved readability, look and feel of the UIEliminated jitters and stutters Removed MetahumanWhile the original idea was to use Unreal Engine MetaHumans for checking in the guests of the hotel, it was quite expensive and was causing lags on some PCs while the visual style didn’t fit our vision for the game, so Metahumans for the guest check-ins are gone. Don’t fret, for we have decided to make the models ourselves and will re-implement them in a proper way to enhance the game without the massive downsides. Thank you for following the development. We can’t wait for you to experience the demo.

    Development Update: We're getting close

Hello! We wanted to share a quick update on where development currently stands. Over the past 8 months, we’ve been working very hard on polishing the game, and we’re finally reaching the final stages of development. Here’s what we’ve been working on recently:Polishing the lobby (literally, I put a very shiny marble floors this time) Out of planned 20 rooms for this project, we now have around 35 out of 43 rooms completed (also my way of saying that we added way more rooms than originally planned) A checkpoint system has been implemented after our playtesters noted that losing ALL progress after failing was too punishing. Now you won’t have to redo EVERYTHING if you fail.We added a map that tracks the progress of the rooms.Testing and making sure everything works as intended. There are still a few things we’d like to polish and add before release:Improving the UI, which currently works impeccably, but looks horrendous. Adding an introduction level Finishing the remaining 8 rooms Hunting down and fixing the last few bugsWith that said, we’re getting very close to release, and our current release window is:Early Summer We don’t want to rush the launch, and we’re taking extra time to make sure the game releases in the best state possible. We’ll continue posting updates as we get closer to release. Thank you for all the support, feedback and wishlists, it does help a lot!
