About this game

Game footage is from a work in progress.

Uncover the Unknown. Suppress the Anomalies.

Anomaly Investigation & Suppression × Multi-Squad Tactical Adventure

Die, learn, and accumulate knowledge.
Discover the safest way to confront the unknown.

Anomalies are entities far beyond human comprehension.
A single misjudgment can cost your Personnel their lives in an instant.

If any Personnel are lost,

you can restart from the beginning of the battle.
Learn through death and failure, then ultimately suppress the Anomaly without losing anyone and bring the day to a close.

Suppressing Anomalies Requires More Than Attack

This is a real-time tactical adventure where you must understand the nature of Anomalies,
command multiple Squads simultaneously,
and discover the correct method of suppression.

Every Anomaly requires a different response.

ATTACK
TALK
WAIT
RETREAT

You will not know the correct course of action from the outset.

Observe how Anomalies react
and deduce the most effective countermeasure.

Poor decisions can worsen the situation
and lead entire Squads to destruction.

Bring Every Squad Home Alive

Understanding how to deal with an Anomaly
is only the beginning.

As you learn the proper responses to more Anomalies,
you will be forced to manage multiple situations at the same time.

While one Squad faces an emergency,
you must decide which Squad to prioritize.

Who do you save?
Where do you send your limited manpower?

Once an Anomaly has been understood,
your judgment and ability to set priorities as Commander will be put to the test.

Whether every Squad survives
depends entirely on your decisions.

YOUR ROLE

  • Identify the nature and threat level of Anomalies

  • Command multiple Squads simultaneously

  • Choose between ATTACK, TALK, WAIT, and RETREAT

  • Complete suppression operations while minimizing casualties

This is not a game about reflexes.

What you need is:

Observation
Judgment
The ability to set priorities

怪異対策特異機関 ― 幻視天研所 ―

Specialized Anomaly Countermeasures Agency — Genshi Tenken Institute —

In this world exist entities beyond human understanding known as “Anomalies.”

For centuries, they were dismissed as baseless rumors,
alongside ghosts, urban legends, and creatures of myth.

However, approximately ten years ago,
their existence was scientifically proven.

In response, the government established
the Specialized Anomaly Countermeasures Agency — Genshi Tenken Institute —.

Since then, the observation, research, and suppression of Anomalies
have been conducted as official operations.

Today, Anomalies are classified as:

“Biological phenomena that exist outside the established laws of reason.”

The mission of the Genshi Tenken Institute
is to oversee the investigation, research, and suppression of Anomalies as a unified organization.

As Commander, you will deploy your Personnel into the field
and confront the unknown.

    Demo Update

The Genshi Tenken Institute demo has been updated. This update focuses on improvements to the Anomaly Codex and Manual, along with the following fixes. Improved the Anomaly Codex display Fixed the unread “!” indicator that appears when new information is revealed, as well as how viewed information is tracked. We also revised text shown before an Anomaly’s official name is revealed, along with the wording used when information is disclosed through observation or analysis. Updated parts of the Manual Added explanations to the “Battle Flow” section covering individual Personnel selection, drag selection, and command numbers such as “1-1” and “1-2.” We also revised several descriptions and standardized the Japanese label for Personnel HP as “耐久” (Durability). Improved save data recovery When the main save file is missing but a backup remains, Observation Records can now be detected and loaded from the backup. Fixed Personnel name generation Fixed an issue where the Personnel name generation system was not working as intended, resulting in an extremely limited variety of names. Newly generated Personnel will now receive independently selected surnames and given names, allowing for a much wider range of combinations. Existing save data and the names of Personnel already hired will not be changed. Fixed a Squad Formation issue Fixed an issue where Personnel removed from a Squad could still appear on the Dispatch screen or participate in battle. Thank you for your continued support of Genshi Tenken Institute.
