    Crimson Moon Patch 1.0.0.1

Good news, PC Nephilim! ⌨️🖱️ Patch 1.0.0.1 has passed testing and we've decided to put our Alpha implementation of keybinding support into your hands now, rather than make you wait for the full, polished version. The update is available now (version 162350), giving PC players basic keyboard & mouse remapping and mouse sensitivity controls while we continue to refine and expand the feature. Keybinding support was already planned for PC, but we chose to hold the initial implementation at launch while we resolved some remaining issues. Your feedback reinforced that getting these options into your hands should be a priority, so the team has been working to get them ready as quickly as possible. IMPORTANT NOTE: this is our first Alpha implementation of keybinding support, not the final, polished experience we intend to deliver. You can find this new feature under the Settings Menu > Keyboard > select the custom keyboard profile (click the left arrow). Right now, you can rebind all available actions, revert bindings to their defaults and adjust mouse sensitivity, but there are some things not included in this version that we're working to add in a future update – these include: Multiple bindings - assign more than one key to the same action  Double-tap inputs - assign actions to quickly pressing a key twice  Hold inputs - assign actions to holding a key down We made the decision to get this Alpha functionality into your hands sooner rather than make you wait for the full implementation. This is only our first step, and we want your feedback to help us refine what comes next and what's important to you. Please let us know what works, what doesn’t, and any issues you encounter. We’d also love to hear what additional keybinding options or functionality you’d like to see in the next implementation. We’ll continue refining and expanding keybinding support in future updates. What's Next? Our attention is also firmly on the other pressing issues players have raised since launch,...

Helpful Resources: Runs, Loadouts & Gear

Hey everyone, First, we want to say thank you for continuing to share your feedback with us. We’ve heard your frustrations around a number of issues, and Team Metal is continuing to work through fixes and improvements based on what you’re reporting. We’ve also noticed that some things being reported as bugs are actually game systems that we recognise aren't currently explained clearly enough in-game. That's on us to communicate better, and the team is looking at ways to make some of these systems clearer in future updates. In the meantime, we wanted to share a couple of resources that may help.  Why can't I change my Loadout between missions? If you've returned to Sanctus Clypeus and the Loadout Station is unavailable or appears above you, you're still in an active run. A full run consists of three missions followed by a World Boss. Returning to Sanctus Clypeus between those missions doesn't end your run, so the Loadout Station remains unavailable until you either complete the full run or die. 📖 Learn more about how Runs and the Loadout Station work: How Do Runs Work - Crimson Moon Wiki Why has my purified gear changed rarity? We've also seen some confusion around Purification, gear rarity and upgrading equipment with Gajov. The most important thing to know is: Purifying an item permanently unlocks that item at Common quality, regardless of the quality you found it at. So if you find and purify a Rare item, for example, you shouldn't expect to see a permanently unlocked Rare version in your Collection. The item itself has been unlocked, but its permanent version begins at Common quality. You can then upgrade that item through Gajov, which permanently increases its minimum quality everywhere. If you upgrade a weapon to Uncommon, for example, that weapon will only appear at Uncommon quality or higher in future runs - whether you select it from your Loadout or find another one as loot from enemies or chests. 📖 Learn more about Gear, Purification & Upgrades: How Gear & ...

    An Update on PC Keybinding

We’ve heard the frustration from our PC players around the lack of keybinding and remapping options, and we want to be clear: we’re committed to getting a fix into your hands this week. Team Metal is already working on a rapid first implementation of keybinding support. Our priority is to get this functionality to PC players as quickly as possible, so this first version may have some bugs or areas that still need refinement. Rather than make you wait for a more polished implementation, we want to get the initial version out this week and address any issues that arise in a following patch. We’ll share an exact date for the update as soon as we have it confirmed. In the meantime, here’s an early look at the keybinding options the team is already working on: 👇 Thank you for the feedback and for your patience while we get this into your hands. — Team Metal

    Crimson Moon (PC) Review

One of the oldest battles represented in gaming is the never-ending conflict between good and evil, and one of the most represented genres in gaming today — the roguelike — continues to be the gift that keeps giving. But what happens when the indie developer, PlayableMonsters, combines the two? The answer is Crimson Moon. ProbablyMonsters deploys a solid action title that doubles as an infectious co-op adventure, demanding you try over and over again to defeat the abominations that destroyed the city and take it back. In Crimson Moon, you are humanity’s last hope and its greatest weapon. ProbablyMonsters tosses you in the deep end as Nephilim, a human-angel hybrid member of the order of the Crimson Moon, and you are the last line of defence to clean up the mess caused by the fall of the city of Gildenarch. Each ‘run’ towards danger pits you set on a mission to reclaim the fallen city, and each mission sees you return to the hub world of The Church in triumph (or failure), like a pr ... Read more
