About this game
Gravity Cannon is a local multiplayer (1-8 players) party game about working with (or against) gravity to shoot your friends' planets (or ships, or a puck).
Multiple game modes:
Play as planets with really big cannons in deathmatch, stock, hockey, and paint modes.
Take your gravity mastery into ships in dogfight and squadron modes.
Hone your ship skills in single-player time trials
Endless Replayability:
Procedurally generated maps
Fully customizable match settings
Enable any of over ten secondary fire items
Change physics itself, with settings for gravity strength, missile speed, and more
A world in which everything has gravity (like the real world, but different):
Bend shots around the moon
Place obstacles to block your opponent or create new gravity-affected firing lanes
Beware the asteroids that want to pull your ship into them!

Demo v0.2 Release
Hello, cannoneers! After months of work, v0.2 is finally here! I'd like to make another huge shoutout to the many people that have playtested the game - a lot of this update is the direct result of your feedback! And now, without further ado, let me introduce you to Gravity Cannon's largest update yet:First up, the demo now has a third game mode! Welcome to Soccer, a chaotic spaceship-based team sport for up to 8 players! Yes, that's right - the demo now supports 8 player madness on both Linux and Windows! Get out there and make your home planet proud, Pilot.Second, a significant revamp to the physics in the game makes for a much smoother experience. Ever find yourself repeatedly and frustratingly bouncing off of that huge space lever in Targets? Or wondering why the puck took that weird angle off the wall on that last banked shot in Hockey? Not anymore, my friend! Collisions are now much more stable and predictable. Those are the big things, but a lot of small improvements made it into v0.2 as well:Subtly improved tutorials experience, and better behavior for the Targets tutorial in particularFixed positioning of dialog boxes in tutorials to better serve 5+ playersAdditional particle effects, including smoke when missiles collideBetter, clearer dialog boxesReduced the target icon size at the bottom of the screen in Targets so that they will no longer be confused for actual targetsMissile SFX are now much quieter when high projectile velocities are selected in the physics settingsAdded a small X icon for when an attempted cannon shot is not available (for example, if a missile isn't loaded)Fixed occasional offscreen indicator 1-frame flash when a ship respawnsRemoved the background star twinkle SFX, which got to be a bit eerie if the music was turned all the way downTeam markers (the colored outlines for team objects) are now rendered behind all other objects, making collisions clearerFixed a bug where the rumble setting in the settings menu wouldn't necessarily rumbl...Read full article on Community Announcements (t_schreibs)Patch NotesOfficial

Hello, cannoneers! This small update comes with a couple rendering fixes and a new setting:Fixed occasional brief flash of an offscreen indicator bubble when an object is teleported back on screenMissiles are now preloaded at startup to prevent the possibility of lag the first time a missile is shotAdded "Fullscreen" setting to toggle between windowed and fullscreen modesThanks, and happy cannoning!Read full article on Community Announcements (t_schreibs)Patch NotesOfficial
FIXED STARTUP CRASHES ON WINDOWS! Demo Patch Notes - 0.1.78be705
Hello, cannoneers!I've brought big changes this week to the Gravity Cannon demo, and I'm excited to be sharing them with you all! Lots to talk about here.First and foremost, the latest update includes a fix for some startup crashes that have been plaguing various hardware and driver configurations when running the game on Windows. I appreciate the patience while I've diagnosed and fixed the issue - it ended up being a relatively significant undertaking. The result is that I've migrated the game away from Vulkan and toward DirectX for Windows builds, and that should be a more stable experience moving forward.Second, some new content! We now have match badges! Get yourself over to the stats screen as quickly as you can muster and fight for that MVP badge, or at the very least do your best to avoid the dreaded OOPS! badge...Speaking of the stats screen: heatmaps have seen a small revamp as well. All heatmaps are now colored by team, meaning that you can better pinpoint team hot spots, discover your defensive weaknesses, more quickly determine exactly how your teammate managed to shoot their own base during that last match...Plenty more has been added to the game on top of all of that, including:Adding several bits of polish, various small animationsAdding new accessibility settings to disable flashes and to adjust the overall game engine speedFine tuning environment settings to slightly tone down certain glow effectsAdding a smoother, prettier transition into the intro sequence for the gameFixing the clock in Hockey shifting off center when entering overtimeFixing pixel bleed in certain animations on WindowsPreloading particle effects at startup to improve performance on WindowsThanks, and happy cannoning!Read full article on Community Announcements (t_schreibs)Patch NotesOfficial

Hello, cannoneers! This first little update comes with a massive thank you to the many people that have playtested Gravity Cannon over the last year, and especially to those of you that have played the demo since it was released on Friday. Much of your feedback has made it into a series of small improvements over the weekend, including:Removing the team selection and ready checks from single player modesFixing a subtle bug that could allow you to inadvertently modify the available items for the current game modeImproving the behavior of the match setup menu when editing team namesRunning the first run tutorial sequence on every startup until the first time a match is successfully completedI'll continue to provide bug fixes and improvements for the demo version of the game as I work toward completing and polishing the full game, which we expect to release in July. Please submit any feedback, bug reports, etc. to support@scribbletea.com. Thanks, and happy cannoning!Read full article on Community Announcements (t_schreibs)
