Navigate the Eastern Underworld by designing land layouts, hiring quirky soulkeepers, and managing sinful souls in this simulation where every decision shapes your city's fate.

About this game

Run the Chinese hell and customize the size and height of the terrain in the vast underworld, where all souls live upon. Choose landscapes options. Make huge mountains, floating islands, and even eighteen levels of hell that no one has ever seen before. Connect lands with various transportation methods. Build the world you manage in your own style!

Punish souls, cleanse karma, gain D-Cash! Then, souls can reborn and generate Incense. However, it is terrible to line a long queue in the underworld. Lining up turns souls into Grudges who do damages around! Don't worry. Use decorations to increase overall efficiency and combine elements together to give facility boosts! You are the ultimate strategy king.

Hire a team of soulkeepers with different personality and manage hell workplace in a fun way. Fulfill needs and wishes from employees, and be the boss in whatever the hell way you like. Your styles of management result in different reactions and diversified outcomes. High pressure 996 styled overtime, or work-life balance? It is all your choice!

Souls have needs too. They try to live a rich afterlife at Fengdu City. Help souls to remember previous lives, meet their needs, do recreations, and make new "soulmates". In return, they offer resources you need to run the hell. Always remember, decorate your Fengdu City with treasures and decors. And, they will follow.

There are many stories to be told in every underworld. With time spent, legends from the ancient Chinese myths pay their visits and leave behind stories to be explored. Imagine meeting Wukong bringing chaos to the underworld... Choose and explore options that result in different outcomes.

May Devlog: New Hell Facility, Soul Needs, and Culture Corner!

Hi DIFUers, glad to write a new issue on Hundred Nights: DIFU's new progress. This might be a bit long and we appreciate everyone for your time!tl;drwe had a new punishment facility called Frozen Hell. It freezes souls.we made toilets for souls because they have everyday needs here in the underworld too.culture corner discusses the origin of Ginseng, a traditional Chinese medicine like coffee but you can't have too much.New Punishment Arrives: the Frozen HellMeet Frozen Hell, one of the most ambitious facilities on the punishment market. Inspired by dragon claw, Frozen Hell freezes sinful souls to the chillest level, sharp, determined, and absolutely no mercy. According to ancient myths, those who were cruel and cold would be punished by Frozen Hell when they entered the underworld. Well, that is really ironic.Below is the concept art of Frozen Hell. Aren't you thrilled by the look of the dragon claw, huge ice cube, and chains around? This is the magic of Frozen, pun intended. On the other hand, Frozen Hell has already made other punishment facilities look less cool. However, there are at least a dozen more of these punishment facilities to be designed. That is another story for the Culture Corner at another time. (hint: Hell has eighteen levels in Eastern underworld and they each represent a different punishment)On to the next UPDATE!From Buildings to Souls' NeedsOh wait, Souls' Needs and buildings? That sounds familiar. The truth is - this is definitely familiar.Souls have needs. They need to be satisfied by building different types of buildings in Hundred Nights: DIFU. By satisfying needs, Fengdu City is born, flourished, and expanded.Souls have different needs. They have basic ones like food and sleep. They have higher level needs like entertainment and soulmateship. And most importantly, they need to use toilets with a sense of urgency. The design of toilets, aka the Washhouse, is inspired by squat toilets. Not here to discuss the comfort level of different posit...

April Devlog: Build Feature, Souls, Culture Corner, and More!

Hey DIFUers, it's your CM Leo! Glad that we have had a busy March and April developing the hell out of Hundred Nights: DIFU, a game about Eastern hell. The progress of April is actually super huge! Can't wait to share these with you all in today's April devlog. What is Build Freely in HNDF?Hundred Nights: DIFU stands out from other city builder sims for one big reason, the customization of land. The land of the underworld is customizable to its full aspects, which gives players (you guys and gals!) more stylization and strategic fun while doing the regular management part of running the underworld. We just finished the core functionality of the so called build freely feature. And still, we have much depth planned adding to the core functionality. But, you certainly can get the point of how building freely works in DIFU. Enough talking, let me just show you the work!Expand horizontally on both sides of the surface, making different shapes you want.Expand vertically and move freely in the vast underworld. These basic core functionality can provide you with tools to expand the land size as you go further in the game and customize the shape of your land to make different landscapes. And if you have already noticed, the linkage of land is automatic. It will feel like magnats sticking together to make sure that expanding and building new land is effortless and fun.Hope you get an idea about the basic version of what building freely means. We have much depth and QoL planned in this month and upcoming months in production. Let us know what you think about it in the comment section.New Souls Are Coming to the Hell!We also made big progress in concept design, adding two more occupations of souls in Hundred Nights: DIFU. They have interesting background stories that I want to share with you!The Beggars. How come they are dead? Maybe it is because the last cold wind blowing, or a surprise mad eating, or a nap in hot summer days, or a faint in a crowd... Probably, they may have spec...

Congratulations to us, luckily we found you, simulation lovers and indie players. THANK YOU for reading this! You will be the lord of the Chinese hell, manage different things from a top down view in a 3D cartoony world. Not to spoil too much fun before demo, let's just say that the game is a combination of three things, highly customizable world, hell management sim, and unique cultural background. The goal is to make it fun, humorous, and accessible. At the same time, add some unique flavors and some gameplay innovations, which make Hundred Nights: DIFU stand out. What to Expect in 2026?To be honest, we are still very early in development. We do have two important things in plan, the first demo and the first announcement preview video (world premiere). The general goal is to enter beta phase with the first demo playtest within 2026. And then, we plan to update a detailed roadmap. We believe in craftsmanship in making our first indie game of the studio, so it may take unexpected extra time in the process of game development. But, we will do our best in communicating details with you.Meet the Team, PixelsCove. We are a team of 8, based in Chongqing, China. This city does have some magic power in indie games. Great indie teams like Pathea Games (dev of My Time series), Youthcat Studio (dev of Dyson Sphere Program), and GSQ studios are here as well.We are passionate about simulation games and our culture. In history, the Fengdu City where souls live is considered located somewhere in Chongqing. And it is the city of mountains, making it even more mysterious and hell-ish.That's why Hundred Nights: DIFU is conceptualized. We are humbled and excited to write the first update about our game. And can't wait for more!See you in the nex...
