About this game

CLASSIC SNAKE. UNDEAD HORDE. TOTAL CHAOS.

SnekromancY twists classic snake movement into a chaotic action roguelite. Slither through maze-like dungeons, devour your enemies, and raise an undead army that fights from your back.

SLITHER. DEVOUR. GROW.

Weave through maze-like rooms, gobble up food and treasure, and summon zombies, skeletons, ghosts, and other undead minions to join you as you grow.

Your minions can auto-attack or be manually aimed if you have the skills.

BUILD SOMETHING COMPLETELY BROKEN

Stack powerful upgrades and relics to transform a humble undead snake into an unstoppable dungeon-clearing monster.

Runs start simple, but they don't stay that way.

    v1.1.0 - Cry Little Sister

I've been going over a lot of feedback in the month since release, and there were a few complaints that I've seen repeated. My general rule is that if one person mentions something I consider it, but if 2 or more mention it I take it very seriously. I won't always implement exactly what they suggested, but I will try to address the root of the problem. Today's patch addresses thee complaints I've seen repeatedly: being unable to assign minions to arbitrary snake positions, end-game screen clutter when you get lots of projectiles, and late game minions (Vlad, Dante, and Fang) being too rare. I've also made some changes to the scoring system. When I first made the game, the minion queue existed solely at the front of the snake, but this caused problems when your snake got long, so I introduced the tail position. This seemed like a good fix at the time, but having the extra empty space along the rest of the snake introduced confusion among new players of why they can't assign a minion to those spots? In truth, there was really no good reason not to, except for a bit of edge case confusion. You can now drag a minion anywhere on the snake (or use the arrow buttons to move it up and down), essentially creating empty spots at the front of the snake in the minion queue. The tail spot still exists, and is still unique because growing the snake will push it back so it stays at the end. New minions are always added to the first empty spot on the snake, and if the snake shrinks to a point that the rear minion would be pushed off, the order will be compressed from the back to fit all minions if possible. The next issue was a much simple fix: there's a new Effect Opacity setting in the Display menu, where you can set the visibility percentage of minion projectiles and damage indicators. This can go all the way down to 0% but I'm not sure you'd want to do that.Third, the chance for the late-game minions to appear has been increased by 40%, so you're much more likely to see them come...

SnekromancY is a clever reinvention of Snake with a survivor-like tower escape style

SnekromancY mixes three rather different genres together into something I haven't seen before with Snake, Vampire Survivors and Tower Escape. Read the full article here: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2026/08/snekromancy-is-a-clever-reinvention-of-snake-with-a-survivor-like-tower-escape-style/

v1.0.2 - Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop

It's been a week since launch and I couldn't be happier with the response from everyone who's been enjoying the game! We're at 93% positive reviews on steam, and it warms my heart to know that so many are enjoying my little game.Especially useful has been the great feedback everyone is putting into the discussion boards and reviews. It's helped me track down not just bugs and balance issues, but also bring to light some overlooked UX issues like controllers not being able to scroll the text-based stats areas. This update has taken a little longer than my usual cadence, because I wanted to be sure everything got a thorough test now that the game is launched, and I wanted to get in as much as possible to address all the feedback. Finally a shout-out to QuestLion in the steam discussion groups, for auditing my Russian translations! I'm going to be making another pass on some of the other languages as well. I've got a few of QuestLion's suggestions already in place, but more will be coming as they work through the keys.Full change list:Gameplay and BalanceAdded a new exit tutorial that appears when the level exit is unlocked and nearby.Keys now avoid spawning too close to doors.Doors now check for a clear path before opening, preventing doors from opening through walls.Mimics can now be eaten.Limited repeated enemy self-buffs to prevent runaway scaling with the Armored Warriors.Fixed an issue with lifesteal and snack perk healing so they use actual damage dealt.Reduced extreme screen shake from very large hits.Adjusted an achievement requirement and improved ascension achievement credit for previously completed milestones.Level FlowAfter completing a level, players can now choose between managing their build or skipping directly to the next level.Updated map back-button text to better reflect whether it returns to management or a store.Controller and UI PolishImproved controller and keyboard scrolling across the Compendium, store, end screen, leaderboard, and intro gift s...
