20 New Steam Achievements Are Here!

20 New Achievements. Your Story Continues. 20 new Steam Achievements are now available in SoulScroll, bringing the total number of achievements to 50. The new challenges expand every part of your journey—from forging and settlement construction to dangerous sieges, cooperative battles and special encounters with Valdris the Flawless. New Challenges Await Challenge Valdris — defeat him without dying, without taking damage from him, or without equipping an Owned Item during the run. Defend the settlement — survive siege streaks, rebuild a destroyed Great Hall and endure a Tier 10 siege. Master forging — create a Tier V weapon and a Tier V Soul Scroll. Prove your versatility — equip four different Soul Scrolls and defeat enemies with every supported weapon family. Turn the siege around — interrupt Rune Breakers, stop Siege Trolls and let your settlement defenses strike back. Fight together — defeat Valdris in multiplayer after every connected player has joined the battle. Leave a lasting legacy — build every settlement structure across your runs and contribute to the defeat of 1,000 enemies. Solo and Co-op Progress Personal challenges belong to the player who completes them. Settlement milestones reward every player currently connected to that world, while enemy achievements require active participation in the battle. Existing worlds and Steam-user progress remain compatible. Some one-time challenges cannot be awarded retroactively and must be completed again after the update. Begin Your Next Chapter Open the SoulScroll achievement list, choose your next challenge and continue writing the story of your Unwritten Soul. Gather. Build. Defend. Summon. Achieve.

Patch 0.1.008 – Wind Runner, Quests & Arise

Patch 0.1.008 Patch 0.1.008 is SoulScroll's most extensive update so far, led by Wind Runner, six active abilities, 52 repeatable Quests, Arise companions, expanded Head Starts and settlement progression, and major improvements to co-op, menus, audio, performance, rivers, and bridges. Major HighlightsWind Runner and Six Active Abilities Wind Runner joins the playable roster with her own animations and three wind-based abilities: Crosswind, Gale Step, and Storm Circle. Lost Guard gains Guardian's Call, Wardline, and Last Stand, giving her a new protective and controlling combat style. Every ability has its own visual identity, spatial sounds, combat purpose, and repeatable upgrade Quests.52 Repeatable Quests The update adds 23 general run contracts and 29 character-ability contracts. Each offer presents three random choices with clear objectives, progress tracking, time limits, and permanent rewards. Successful contracts can return at higher Roman-numeral ranks, allowing their rewards to stack throughout a run. Your active Quest, completed ranks, and earned rewards carry over correctly when saving, loading, or returning to a co-op run.15 Head Starts The Head Start pool has expanded to 15 different choices. Nine inscriptions permanently stack a chosen character stat after every 15 personal enemy kills. New options include Tenfold Ascension, Carpenter's Cache, and Arise, which lets you raise a fallen enemy as a companion. Lost Guard receives a second non-repeating Head Start choice at the beginning of each run.Raise an Enemy with Arise Arise lets you raise one fallen enemy as your personal companion. Raised companions retain their combat identity, gain experience, and receive selectable stat upgrades. Choose between pacifistic, defensive, and aggressive behaviour through a dedicated management window. Recall a living companion into storage and safely summon it again later. Your companion keeps its health, experience, behaviour, and upgrades when you save, load, or retu...

30 Steam Achievements Are Now Live!

30 Achievements. One Unwritten Journey. Achievements have arrived in Soulscroll. The new system adds 30 Steam Achievements that follow your journey from the moment an Unwritten Soul enters the sealed world to the final confrontation with Valdris the Flawless. What Will Be Remembered? Begin a new world with only an axe Explore mysterious biomes, the World Wall and the Troll Cave Build the Great Hall and develop a complete settlement Recruit workers and survive Goblin assaults Forge powerful weapons and Soul Scrolls Defeat Goblins, Trolls, Bojar and other dangerous enemies Complete the ritual, summon Valdris and challenge him in mortal form Some achievements reward a single defining moment. Others track your progress across battles, opened loot chests and everything your settlement survives. Designed for Solo and Co-op Achievement progress follows the way you actually play: Settlement milestones are shared with every player currently online in that world. Personal discoveries, including exploration and biome progress, belong only to the player who completes them. Enemy and boss victories count only for players who dealt damage to that enemy. Loot chest progress belongs only to the player whose server-confirmed action successfully produces the loot. A Note for Existing Worlds Some one-time, event-based achievements are not awarded retroactively. If their objective was already completed before this update, you may need to complete it again in a new world or run. This prevents players from receiving shared world achievements for events they were not present for. Start Writing Your Record The achievements are available now through Steam. Open the achievement list, choose your next objective and begin writing the story of your Unwritten Soul. Gather. Build. Defend. Summon. Achieve.
