New patch - preludes introduced
This patch introduces preludes in the playtest build. Alongside choosing your starting fleet, you now also select a prelude (1 of 3). These provide significant bonuses to the early game, adding further fleet tailoring and variation to a run.The Sato-Miller Executive branch has also rolled out a major overhaul of all its production-line hulls, changing their color from metallic to teal. The redesign aims to improve radar signatures and heat profiles at no change in cost to any Sato-Miller ship available for sale in authorized facilities.Changed how Vanguard, Hunter and Raptor abilities unlock. They now unlock through an offensive item upgrade.Vanguard ability changed: Artillery mode moves to another unit, and the Vanguard now has the Overcharge upgrade. Once per battle, deal 2 damage to a nearby enemy ship. On a kill, move to its tile and gain +1 weapon capacity.Reworked shop distribution logic so more faction-specific shops appear.Anti-matter missiles can now target tiles.Further improvements to AI logic, which should make it even smarter.New sprites for all Sato-Miller ships and several Court of Aleksenaten ships. Many minor UI improvements and bug fixes.Read full article on Community Announcements (thekarlpany)AnnouncementsOfficial

New patch: More win conditions, easy mode and settings
This patch has been focused on a few things. Adding more win conditions to the game. Adding a new easy mode in an attempt to better onboard new players. Adding more QoL settings such as windowed mode full screen, different resolutions, and as usual, a lot of bug fixing and balancing.Features and interesting changesPhasing reworked - exiting phasing now reduces 1 max HP for the rest of combat. Phasing is still strong, but chaining kills on a phased ship is no longer perma-invulnerability.Armor and movement modifier rework - these items can now be applied to any ship type and propagate fleet-wide (apply a move modifier to a Ptah → all your Ptahs get it). They also stack with themselves, so allows further fleet customization and late-game scaling.Difficulty selection - new Containment level 0 easy-modeSettings menu - Fullscreen / Borderless Windowed / Windowed modes, with resolution options when windowedSobek: new "Swap" ability - Gave Sobek a new ability to make it more interesting and raise its skill ceiling. Swap: change positions with any pylon on the board.New itemsAnkh of Endless Mornings (Court, mid/late game) - apply to any ship. If it dies in combat, it returns to your inventory on battle win.Scarab of Endless Advance (Court, mid/late game) - fleet-wide. All player Ptah ships move at zero action cost.Ankh of Eternal War (Court, mid/late game) - apply to any ship. When that ship gets a kill, all your Court ships gain +1 damage that turn.Antimatter Munitions Plant (SMI) - as long as it's in your inventory, all Hunters get +1 antimatter missile capacity and refill 1 missile each sector. Stackable.Various Minor changesPtah now costs 0 fleet capacity (still 1 deploy capacity) - keep them as cannon fodder, pairs with Scarab of Endless AdvanceOverclock no longer increases movementContainment level display order tidiedVarious bug fixes, UX and UI improvementsRemove ability to save scum and reroll events and tradesRead full article on Community Announcements (Cydr0x)Patch NotesOfficial
