Discover hidden koalas and help them find a new home in Covert Koalas: Phasco, an indie adventure where each level is a charmingly crafted world of your own exploration.

About this game

Covert Koalas: Phasco is a game where you're searching for hidden koalas on highly-detailed levels, which get colored as you progress through them. Follow koalas' story of escape through 5 acts full of mischief and adventure, accompanied with original audio. Everything in the game is meticulously hand-drawn (and hand-colored) - every koala and non-koala bit!

Be careful where you click! Some levels contain koala adversaries, while others have various obstacles that get in the way: weather, water, darkness. Every level detail has a small story of its own.

  • Over 10 hours of singleplayer koala experience

  • 3 difficulty modes with each koala playthrough being different

  • Unique koala story with 100% hand-drawn game, including cutscenes

  • Koalicious hints

  • Original soundtrack and audio (featuring koalas)

  • Multiple levels with environment effects for finding koalas

  • For any age - regardless if you're an old koala or a joey

  • Want even more koala features? Play and find out!

    New Playtest version

New, hot hot!Hey there koala fans, animal lovers and enjoyers of hand-drawn games! We've been a bit silent lately, which only means we're working hard! Although we're working on many features and content that will come in the full game, we've also been working on updating the playtest, so the game can be checked out with even more features and content. So what's new in this version (a brief summary):Completely new level - tutorial level. Now you don't have to click on boring tutorial slides at the beginning - you can play a neat little level that has it all explained, and look at more adorable koalas, at an even higher close-up view. This also covers the very first part of the story as well.Level 01 has even more koalas! Almost double the amount of koalas that might appear, completely new dialogue lines and bigger changes between difficulties.HUD changes, fixes, tweaks... Along with MANY backend changes which will make the game run even faster, and will mean quicker updates in the future for you. We're looking forward to very near updates that will come soon! In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the summer, there's not much left :)...And a special shoutout to another fun content creator, Missy Spooks, who covered the game. A really communicative and warm being, really, and we're glad to have such an amazing person play the game!Check it out below:

Open playtest is now... open!It will remain open for some time, probably until the demo is released and it reaches the gold version - so this is a limited time window for anyone to test the game and provide feedback and suggestions! We've already made adjustments to the game since it was last played at a live event, few weeks back. All criticism is welcome, especially constructive criticism :) Use the game Discord channel for leaving feedback: https://discord.com/invite/zqGZhwSnVMFirst streamers play the gameWe were on TV! Well not TV - TV, but Twitch.TV - for the first time! Exciting stuff for us little koalas. The very first content creator to showcase the game (and have laughs playing it) was: ...CupcakeSprinkle - check her out at: Playtest video: If you're a content creator - reach out to us through whichever social or channel you prefer and we'll include you in the reach-out list for future pre-plays and possibly keys. The world would be boring without you :PAnd now back to sleep... err working on the game, of course. We're not actually koalas, so can't sleep so much (if only we were...).

Covert Koalas: Phasco - game reveal & 1st live expo

Game revealKoala fans around the world - rejoice! The world will this year become richer by one more game focused on koalas - Covert Koalas: Phasco. Why koalas? Well, they are cute, fluffy, and not very bright. What else do you need? :) When did the devs of this fine game come about with this idea? At the beginning of 2025. We were looking to make a hand-drawn game which would feature an endangered species, and koalas happen to be on top of our cuteness list as well. When will players be able to enjoy the company of koalas?2026. is the planned release - and it will not move. It will stay nice and cozy in this year and show its hairy head with big ears in 2026. So no stress, take it easy, koala-style.What to expect?Well, check out the game page, duh. We can actually share one additional bit of information - there will be a crowdfunding campaign soon packed with goodies to catch as well as a playtest, alpha demo. The game itself is a hidden-object type of game - for those unfamiliar with the genre, you need to find objects across multiple levels, and in this game those objects are koalas! So, point&click genre meets puzzle games. The game follows a unique story of koalas escaping imprisonment and searching for their new island home, with many obstacles along the way.How is this game different from other similar games?Everything is 100% hand drawn in the game. Same goes for the audio (music & sfx) - it is all original soundtrack. No graphics/audio packs downloaded or AI used for any part of the game. If there are mistakes in the game, they are OUR mistakes :) Same for programming, actually, if anyone cares.Next - the levels get colored, part by part as you find koalas on those level parts, like in a coloring book. For other stuff - check out the features list or join Discord and follow the gamedev updates there! Our first expo!Tomorrow and on Saturday (24th and 25th of April, 2026) we will be attending FantasticGamingShow in Pula, Croatia. The public will have an exclusi...
