The world doesn't deserve to exist. Nothing matters anyway. Destroy and burn things alone. Or get your nihilistic friends and throw things into the fire together.

Experience the chaos of throwing things into a fiery abyss in Fire Pit: Throw Things Into The Fire. Alone or with friends, let your destructive impulses reign as you simulate burning away the world's indifference.

About this game

Fire Pit is a game about destroying and burning things.

Pick things up. Drop them into the fire. Watch them disappear. There is no score to chase and nothing to preserve—only the satisfaction that comes when a place has nothing left to offer.

Play alone, or invite friends and throw things together. Every object reacts, breaks down, and ultimately gives in. Different materials behave differently. Some resist longer. None survive. Let the fire do its work.

Each place is a self-contained space, to be destroyed, to be forgotten. When there is nothing left to burn, you are finished there. You may stay, or you may move on to another place that will end the same way.

Fire Pit is deliberate and final. It is not about spectacle, but about certainty. Things go into the fire. They burn. Nothing is gained. Nothing gets fixed, the life does not get better.

ALONE OR WITH OTHERS?

You live and die alone. You can throw things into the fire alone too.

If you have friends, you can bring them and throw things together.

PLACES

There is a shack. It was supposed to be a respite. It didn't help. There is no running away. No rest. No peace. Destroy it. Burn it.

There was a wedding. White flowers, set tables, a promise that this time it would last forever. I was a fool. Destroy this illusion. Burn it down.

There is a warehouse. Shelves, boxes, the work that fills a life. Years spent here for a minimum wage. Tear it down. Let it burn.

SATISFACTION

Burn what you find.
Leave when there is nothing left.

    Achievement for single-player mode.

Some cooperative achievements previously required two players. I know some people only play in single-player and would like to earn those achievements too. Now it's possible. When you play alone, you can still play throw and catch. Just throw an item and catch it yourself. Do it a few times and you'll get the achievement.

No more clicking every single book.

Hi,I know some of you would like easier item pickup, particularly in the Library. There are 8,000 items there, and having to click 8,000 times is tiring. So now you don't have to click every book. Click on one, but don't release the button. Just sweep over nearby books, and you'll pick those up too.Sweep pickupHold the pick-up button and drag your crosshair across a pile or row of items: items are grabbed one after another (up to your usual carry limit).Finding the last few itemsFinishing a level no longer turns into a scavenger hunt:When fewer than 10 items remain, holding the Highlight key (Ctrl) also marks some of them with a pulsing pointer effect - the same ping you use to point things out to teammates.Pick-up reach is extended for those final items, so something wedged in a nook you can't walk into is still grabbable.

    Patch notes - July 4th

Removed some tiny items from the Library scene that were difficult to find. Added a ping effect for the last few items so they are easier to find. When highlighted (using Ctrl), the last remaining items will now get an additional effect to show their location. Picking up the last few items is now slightly easier if they are stuck in hard-to-reach places.

    Patch notes - June 25th

Improved performance in Library and Warehouse, particularly in co-op game. I will still continue improving that, but it should not be better. Fixed the bug that host's axe stopped working when any client disconnected. Also improved movement around clutter - player no longer kicks all the items in vicinity.
