Dive into BurgerJoint: Fast Food Simulator, where you manage your own virtual restaurant, flipping burgers and stacking fries with physics-based precision.

About this game

🍔 Physics-Based Assembly

Forget "a few clicks to make a burger." In this game, assembly is an interactive process. Experience a tactile approach to the kitchen where you manually grab, stack, and layer every ingredient using physics.

  • Build it Your Way: Use physics to manually pick up buns, toppings, and patties to assemble your order.

  • Total Freedom: You can stack ingredients with surgical precision or throw them together in a completely sloppy manner.

🍱 Master the Menu

With over 15+ predefined burgers, various drinks and dipping sauces, there’s never a dull moment.

  • The Grill Station: Grill your meat to perfection. You can grill from both the top and bottom sides for that even cook but keep a close eye on the grill. There's a fine line between "well-done" and "charcoal."

  • Drinks & Dips: Complete the meal with the right beverages and side sauces to keep the orders moving.

💰 Front Desk & Cash Register

Being a chef is only half the battle. You’ll need to manage the Cash Register Flow to keep the business running:

  • Take Orders: Use the cash register UI to manually take down what the customer wants.

  • Handle Payments: Calculate change for cash transactions or enter card details manually.

🔥 Keep the Kitchen Moving

  • Stock Management: Keep an eye on your supplies so you don't run out of ingredients mid-rush.

  • Tray Cleaning: Keep the workflow steady by putting dirty trays in the sink and running the faucet to clear them for the next customer.

  • Customer Patience: If you take too long or get the orders wrong, customers will get angry and leave. Speed and accuracy are your best friends!

    A Question I Wanna Ask

Hi, @everyone, I want to ask you all something honestly and get your real thoughts on it. Over time, I’ve realized that a lot of people find the physics-based interaction system awkward, frustrating, or simply difficult to play with. Looking back, I probably should’ve validated this idea much earlier in development instead of fully committing to it first. Since I didn’t, many of the criticisms people have now are completely understandable. Because of that, I’ve been seriously thinking about removing the physics-based interaction system entirely and transitioning to a more classic/static interaction system instead. There are a few more reasons for this: Some gameplay events become extremely difficult to make with full physics interactions. For example: imagine making pizza and trying to place tiny cheese pieces using physics. It quickly becomes frustrating instead of immersive.A static interaction system would make the gameplay more responsive and consistent overall.Multiplayer development would become MUCH easier and significantly less bug-prone with a static system. So I want to ask: How would you feel about this change? Would you prefer static interaction system over the current physics one, even if it changes the feel of the game a bit?

The Demo is Live! & A Look at the Road to Full Release

Hi @everyone,Finally, my game's demo is out! Big thanks to all the playtesters who tried it and shared their feedback, I couldn’t have done it without you, so thanks again. I’m really happy with the current state of the demo and feel there’s enough content for now, so I’ll be focusing on the full release from here on. The only things missing at the moment are the eating animation and customer feedback, which I’m aware of and plan to add later. Though I’m not sure exactly when that will be. If you’re curious about what’s changed since the first playtest version, take a look at the “Released” column on my roadmap. Here’s the link to roadmap. I’m currently refactoring my entire game code to support multiplayer in the future and improve maintainability. Since this is a big change, it’ll take some time before I can focus on other tasks. I know most gamers might not be too interested in this behind the scenes work, but it’s necessary for the reasons mentioned. This also means I’ll be quiet for a bit, and you probably won’t see new updates on the roadmap. But don’t worry, I’ll still be hard at work on the game. I’m also aware that my game is a bit weak on the art side, whether it’s sounds, animations, models, or effects. I’d love to improve all of these areas, but each one requires a lot of knowledge and creativity. Especially the creativity part, which isn’t really my strength. I’m more of a logic-and-algorithms kind of person, lol. I’m considering either mastering these categories myself, which would take an enormous amount of time, or working with artists, which would cost money. If I go with the latter, I’ll do it after the game is released and I make some decent earnings from it; otherwise, I can’t afford it right now. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I’m aware of this as well in case you’ve been thinking the same thing. If you enjoy the game, don’t forget to add it to your wishlist to support me and help me gain more visibility on Steam. I’d really appreciate it ...

    Progress Report: Bakery Items

Hi @everyone,Here are the things that I made so far:Created racks, crates, and boxes for bakery items. Also, added plastic wrap models for burger buns for a bit of realism. From now on, all bakery items will use racks as a spawn point. You will be able to move and stack crates and boxes freely. Furthermore, you can now leave or store them anywhere, unlike the old system where you had to keep them inside the box. Also, I will remove the existing burger bun trays in favor of these new racks and crates. I will add the racks and crates to the demo in the next update.Created pizza dough press machine. Now, I will write its game logic and make animations. Other than that, I will add three different-sized pizza doughs as buyable items: small, medium, and large. I will also add an extra interaction button for scaling ingredients so that you can make your pizzas easily. Right now, the ingredients are way too big compared to the pizza dough, no matter what size the dough is. That's why I came up with this idea. What do you think about this?Besides these, I am still working on fixing bugs and polishing my demo based on your feedback. What do you think about these updates overall? Anything to say? About The Game

Hello Everyone, Don't worry, the game isn't dead. I’ll be sharing my ongoing work both here and on Discord, though mostly on Discord.
