Manage your growing village, fend off enemies, and rebuild your airship in Foolhardy Games' hand-painted world of day-to-night challenges.

About this game

Crashbound is a 2D side-scrolling strategy game set in a beautiful, hand-painted world.

Stranded after a crash in a hostile land, your goal is to survive, expand and ultimately escape by rebuilding your wrecked airship. Each decision you make can push you nearer to freedom or closer to disaster.

Set up a lively settlement to aid your escape. Construct buildings, manage resources and recruit your fellow strandees to carry out every day tasks.

As your settlement expands, gain access to new buildings, resources and upgrades.

However, growth is not without its consequences: increased activity will draw greater threats to your gates.

Venture beyond the confines of your territory during the day to discover new environments, valuable resources and mysterious inhabitants.

Curiosity is rewarded! The further out you explore, the more likely you are to come across unique items and encounters. These can alter how you play the game.

The world of Crashbound is relentless and unforgiving! Each night brings an ever-growing onslaught of mischievous rascals and fierce brutes.

Deploy a wide array of combatants, from swordsmen and archers to powerful mages, alongside deadly traps and fortifications.

    Crashbound Devlog #1 - 8th March 2026

Hello everyone! We're very excited to share what we have been working on in our first ever devlog! We've been working with all things related to hunger for this milestone.HungerWe've added famines to the world of Crashbound! Yaaay!!!You'll now need to ensure you have an adequate supply of food to keep your population fed. The larger your settlement and the more work you have them doing will have a direct impact on the daily demand for food.Fail to keep up with this demand and your villagers will take a serious hit to their productivity!Ranged combatWe've finally got around to implenting a system for ranged combat into the game. Now you or your villagers and wield a bow and take out your targets from a safe distance! What does a bow have to do with hunger you ask? Well it is the weapon of choise for...The Hunter!A new job is available to villagers through the hunter workstation. These guys will be on the lookout for any critters they can take out with their bow. If they land a clean shot, they'll be brining home the bacon!More additions!Critters like boars and rabbits roam the world and act as the best source of food!Berry bushes are also spread about and can supply extra food, your villagers will passively collect these should they come across one! What's nextNext up we're planning on diving into a system to populate the world with enemy camps and introducing another job for your villagers! Thanks for following development.

    Crashbound!

Hi there! We are Foolhardy Games, a small team of passionate indie developers who have been building games together since 2021, mostly through small projects, game jams and a shared interest in making cool stuff! After a lot of behind the scenes work, we are finally ready to reveal our newest project...Crashbound!Crashbound is a 2D side-scrolling town-building action game where you build, grow and defend your settlement. You will ride out into the world and claim new land piece by piece, gather resources and build a growing town during the day. At night, you'll have to defend your town from ever-growing evil forces.Taking inspiration from games like Kingdom and Northgard, we wanted to capture that feeling of riding out into the unknown and growing your influence. In addition to that, we wanted to give our players more control, more systems to interact with, and more things that could go wrong!Crashbound exists to explore that balance between growth and vulnerability: expanding just far enough, and just fast enough, before the world pushes back. What do you do in Crashbound?Expand at Your Own Risk Your town grows outward, one decision at a time. More land means more resources, but also longer borders to defend when night falls. Every expansion is a gamble. Two Very Different Halves of a DayDays are for exploration, building, and recruiting new NPCs. Nights are about survival. Workers take shelter, soldiers man the gates, and enemies emerge as a threat to what you’ve claimed.Your Ultimate Goal Each run ends when you rebuild the crashed airship and escape. Along the way, you’ll uncover rare unlockable features that change the way you play. You won’t see everything in one run, but escape successfully and you'll be able to start your next run with access to those unlocks!Where we're atCrashbound is currently quite early in development. We have a bulk of the core mechanics in place but there is still much to do. We plan to keep sharing regular development updates and game foo...
