About this game
Edinburgh, 1828. Fear grips the city as it becomes the scene of murders and kidnappings. The victims' bodies gradually disappear for scientific purposes, but also for far more sinister reasons. It is under these dark circumstances that our two heroes, Joshua Gordon and Detective Norton, meet and are forced to work together against their will. However, like others of the Gordon family, Joshua is haunted by a mysterious curse that will affect not only his own fate.

Joshua Gordon's journey is just the beginning, yet his family history hides many more mysterious and terrifying tales from times long past. The prequel of the series titled "Blood Bond" delves into the past, venturing into the heart of several deeply unsettling events inspired by real life. However, the events in Edinburgh are not the only matters of concern to the protagonist and players alike. The danger comes not only from mere mortals, but also from an omnipresent curse…
Messenger of Death: Blood Bond is reminiscent of adventure games from the turn of the millennium, yet technologically it stands firmly in the present. The game features 4K resolution, sophisticated animations, realistic effects that breathe life into each location and amplify the oppressive atmosphere (environmental effects such as rain, fog, storms), the changing times of day, and more.
The gameplay follows the tried-and-true methods and mechanics of the adventure genre and the original game revolving around the Gordon family saga from 2003, making it suitable for both experienced players and veterans who want to reminisce, as well as newcomers to the series.
Joshua Gordon and Detective Norton are fundamentally two very different characters, which significantly affect the game in their own way, whether in terms of their behavior, interactions with other characters, or the places they take us to along the way.
The game's storyline and the fates of its characters will take players through the Edinburgh underworld and introduce them to its criminal elements, while also meeting the upper echelons of society at other times. The game will feature mysterious locations such as old dungeons, a dilapidated castle, an abandoned village, and a mysterious swamp.

Nobody wants to end up in this place. Especially not while still alive…A morgue is not usually the kind of place people seek out. Unless, of course, you are someone like Doctor Knox, for whom these corridors and rooms are practically his own kingdom. But if Gordon blood runs through your veins, there may come a time when descending among motionless bodies and the ever-present smell of death becomes simply necessary. While for many, the cold mortuary trolley and the dissection table that follows may be the penultimate stop in life, for Joshua and his investigation, they may become a way forward.Although this question may sound somewhat inappropriate, what do you think of another one of our locations? Roadmap update post
It’s been a while, but we’re back to say hello and bring some interesting news! There may have been nothing going on on our social media, but that certainly doesn't apply to the development itself, which is progressing smoothly. We can’t wait to show it to you in all its glory, but before that, we have also prepared another announcement for you. So what can you expect in the near future?First up in April, we’ll be introducing another Czech voice actor—though this time, it’ll be a bit different from what we’ve done so far. We originally planned to reveal this during the December “Czech Game of the Year” broadcast, which didn’t happen, so we’ve decided there’s no point in waiting any longer. Who do you think it will be? And what character will it be?In May, for a change, you’ll be able to visit another of our locations with us, although in the real world you might prefer to avoid it. Then in June, we’ll launch our website, where you’ll find new information and further details about the game. And as if that weren’t enough, we’ve already got another character reveal lined up for you! What’s next? Well, we can’t reveal absolutely everything just yet… Of course, behind the scenes, we’re working hard on the game and doing everything we can to meet your expectations and ensure that Messenger of Death returns in the way it truly deserves.
