About this game

HARPOON SHINY LOOT WITH YOUR BUDDIES

There’s nothing like dragging something way too heavy with friends, and finally bring it inside the submarine. Teamwork makes the dream work, you can’t do it all by yourself!

QUIRKY FISH & SUDDEN DEEP-SEA RAIDS

Treasures and cool creatures await, but watch out - the abyss bites back! Harpoon quirky sea life and defend your sub from intense raids. Fight off piranha swarms and jellyfish squads to protect your ship and your hard-earned loot.

PLAY AS A DOG-DIVER

Meet cute scruffy divers with hilarious dog faces and expressive emotions. Become the most stylish underwater exploration team.

EXLPORE COZY SHALLOWS AND DARK DEPTHS

The shallows look nice, but the deep end is a whole different story. It’s full of hidden currents and pitch-black spots. The deeper you go, the scarier it gets.

CREW & MANAGE YOUR SUBMARINE

Your sub is a cozy home and trusty transport. Pilot it from inside, push and reposition from outside. Squeeze through tight passages and manage risks. Sell loot, gear up, and dive again.

    🦑Less cozy more badass

Welcome back, Salty Dogs It’s been a minute since our last devs diary. We went quiet for a while, but that’s because we were busy doing something crazy: we kinda reinvented the vibe of the game. After analyzing your runs, we realized something: the abyss needed to feel deeper. So, we ran an experiment. We pushed the action, dialed up the grit, and completely shifted the tone of the game.Salty Dogs is evolving. We are trading some of the cozy, lighthearted vibes for a much darker, hardcore, and badass experience. The ocean isn't just hiding treasures anymore, it's a warzone 💥 Here is a sneak peek at what’s changing: Remember the cute, cozy beach? It’s still there, but the deep just got a lot darker. In future posts, we’ll share the lore that led us to these changes 🌑 The fish aren’t just quirky obstacles anymore. We’ve introduced Corrupted versions of the deep-sea dwellers 🦑 The dogs are adapting to the threat. We’re introducing grittier gear, battle-worn aesthetics, and a whole new vibe for our divers’ skins 🔫This is a massive shift for Salty Dogs. We are leaning hard into the action, the darkness, and the badass factor. Drop your thoughts about the changes in the comments! We have plenty more to show you, but for this diary, we wanted to capture the overall atmosphere. In future updates, we’ll dive deeper into specific mechanics and secrets. Stay tuned! 🌊🔦⚓

    ⚓ New Playtest Starts NOW

Remember the cute little crew of dogs puttering around in a submarine? They've had a rough few months. Salty Dogs has changed dramatically, and this is far more than a content update. It's a bigger, deeper, and much meaner version of the game, and a new playtest goes live today. What's new: 🔫 A massively expanded arsenalHarpoons are no longer your only option. You can now fight with shotguns, assault rifles, and a range of experimental weapons, including balloon guns that lift enemies and help you collect loot.🦈 New enemies and a full boss levelThe playtest now includes a fourth level and a proper boss fight. We've also added many new fish species, including dangerous corrupted variants. The deeper you descend, the stranger and more brutal the ocean becomes.🔧 A much deeper submarine upgrade systemUpgrades no longer hand you a simple stat bump. Each one adds a meaningful new feature to your submarine, from extra weapons and loot-collection tools to a robotic vacuum that gathers loot for you.📜 New quests and expanded progressionWe've added contracts and quests, improved progression between runs, introduced difficulty modifiers, and created temporary boosters that open up more ways to prepare for each descent. 🐕 More customization and battle-hardened dogsThe dogs have changed too. New commando-inspired skins turn the once-cute crew into a squad of scarred, heavily armed veterans descending into the depths for revenge. The beach hub has also been reworked, with many more customization options. On top of that we've updated the HUD, expanded destructible objects and loot interactions, improved the visuals and audio, and added plenty of smaller features across almost every part of the game. The playtest starts NOW! New players are being invited to try this much larger version of the game, and everyone who joined the previous playtest gets access again. Grab your weapons, upgrade your submarine, descend into the depths, and tell us what you think of the new Salty Dogs.

🦈 When the Ocean Fights Back (Harder)

Hey, Salty Dogs Welcome back to Devs Diary! You asked for more reasons to check your oxygen gauge twice. Today we're unveiling the next wave of sea defenders - and trust us, they're not happy to see your sub. Cat lovers, feel free to take notes on proper boundary-setting. Dog lovers, sharpen those harpoons. Let's dive in! 🦷 Biter Fish Each bite does minimal damage, but together? They'll chew through your submarine like it's a squeaky toy. ⚔️ Swordfish It'll charge straight for your harpoon cables and slice them clean through. Watch your valuables sink back into the dark as you scream into the void. 🚀 Rocket Fish It locks onto your sub, accelerates to terrifying speeds, and turns itself into a living torpedo.🪼 Blast Jellyfish They don't hunt alone. They hunt in armies. And all they want to do is destroy the submarine. Check your hull integrity, watch your sonar, and remember: the ocean is always watching. See you in the waves! 🌊🐕‍🦺⚓
