Fish now swim in schools — and they finally stay level
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45943665/44d4a99d55232f16d19ac9b522fa3fdb25141184.jpg This update is all about how the fish move. Schooling Fish of the same species now swim together. Each school follows a leader and holds its formation instead of drifting apart, so a tank full of neons reads as one shoal rather than twenty separate fish. Formations spread out in depth as well as side to side, so a large school fills the tank naturally instead of stacking into a single flat band. Bodies that stay level Fish no longer tip their heads up or down when they swim vertically. Bodies stay parallel to the floor at all times. The old tilt made a fish rising to the surface look like it was standing on its tail. New squash-and-stretch motion replaces it. Bodies compress and extend in time with the tail beat, so you can still read the burst-and-glide rhythm at a glance — just without the nose in the air. Pacing Cruising speed now drifts gently up and down instead of holding one flat value, which makes the tank feel alive rather than mechanical. The variation is deliberately subtle — wide enough to notice, narrow enough that nothing looks like it is stuttering. Swimming boundaries, feeding, breeding and every other tank behaviour are unchanged. The demo receives the same update.Read full article on Community Announcements (perverance)AnnouncementsOfficial
Gold overflow fix, 36 new decorations, and fish that swim behind your decor
Fixed Gold no longer breaks past 2.1 billion. Any balance above 2,147,483,647 wrapped around into a negative number, and restarting the game reset it to zero. Gold is now stored as a 64-bit value, so that ceiling is gone. If your save already went negative, it is repaired automatically the next time you load — you get the exact amount back, not a rounded guess. Selling a full collection stack paid far too little. A stack's total was capped at 2.14 billion gold, so most of its value quietly disappeared. You are now paid the full amount. New 36 new late-game decorations — 161 in total. Sunken cabins and temple ruins, a shipwreck with treasure and cannons, a sphinx and a fallen obelisk, lava rock and amethyst, torii gates and pagodas, and a few oddities: a mushroom house, a yellow submarine, a red telephone box. They unlock from level 126 to level 161. Cure All. A button appears whenever fish in your tank are sick and cures every one of them in a single click for the total cost. Fish now swim behind your decorations as well as in front of them, so the tank finally has depth. Changed Curing a fish now costs 10% of that fish's value instead of a flat 1 gold. Every new line of text is translated into all 23 supported languages.Read full article on Community Announcements (perverance)Patch NotesOfficial
Every Fish Now Speaks Your Language
Localization update The 125 collection fish added in the last update had their descriptions written only in English. Now every one of them is described in all 23 supported languages, the same as the original 125 species. 2,875 fish descriptions, covering the full catalogue of 250 species. Nothing else changed — no balance, no prices, no save data. If you play in anything other than English, open any collection fish and you will see its description in your own language.Read full article on Community Announcements (perverance)Patch NotesOfficial
Collection Fish & Fish Packs — 125 New Species
125 New Collection Fish The store now has a separate Collection tab with 125 showcase species, bringing the catalogue to 250 fish in total. They exist for one reason: to give your late-game gold somewhere to go. A collection fish arrives fully grown — no egg, no waiting. They never grow, never eat, never fall sick and never breed. There is nothing to look after. They still take up tank space, and they sell back for exactly what you paid — a collection fish parks your gold rather than growing it. Buying the same one again does not add a second fish: the one in your tank becomes 2x, keeps its name, and takes no extra space. You can name them and sell them individually. Sell All never touches them. Their detail panel switches to a gold theme, so a rare fish is obvious at a glance. The Showcase tank holds 125 fish and needs no care at all — the natural home for a collection. Fish Packs Eight new packs sit at the top of the Fish tab and buy a whole batch of fish in a single click. The first six hand you one of each of the first 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 species, once you have unlocked them. The Mixed Pack fills every free tank slot, starting from the best fish you have unlocked and working down. The Luxury Pack fills every free slot with the most expensive fish you have unlocked. A pack costs exactly the sum of the fish inside it — no discount, no surcharge. It saves clicks, not gold. The fish are poured into the tank from above, a few at a time. They arrive newly hatched, so you still raise them yourself. Fixes The store scrollbar showed the wrong length until you started scrolling. It is now correct the moment a tab opens — in every tab, and in every other scrolling panel in the game. Settings and How to Play could not be closed with ESC. They can now. Also A new Collection & Packs page in How to Play, translated into all 23 languages.Read full article on Community Announcements (perverance)Patch NotesOfficial
Sell All, Name Your Fish & a Cleaner UI
This update is about cutting down the busywork and tidying up the interface. Sell All A new Sell All button appears in the bottom bar whenever you have grown fish ready to go. One click sells every grown, unlocked fish, and it tells you how many and how much before it does anything. Locked fish are never touched. Name your fish Click any fish and you can give it a name. Naming a fish locks it automatically, so your favourites can't be swept up by Sell All or a stray Shift-click. Unlock it whenever you like and it becomes sellable again — the name stays. The game now follows your Steam language On first launch the game uses the language you picked for it in Steam, then falls back to your system language. If you already chose a language in-game, nothing changes — your choice is never overwritten. Spanish (Spain) and Brazilian Portuguese are now listed as supported languages too. A tidier interface The bottom bar went from twelve buttons down to five. Collection, Achievements, How to Play, Settings, Touch, Light, Share and Community now live under a single Menu button. Settings and the fish detail panel scroll now, with a visible scrollbar. Nothing gets clipped on ultrawide monitors any more. The fish panel is shorter, and Close always stays in view. Other changes New setting: turn the gold pop-ups above decorations on or off. Your decorations keep earning either way. Selling fish quickly no longer causes a stutter. Clicking fish is snappier in a full tank. The fish Lock button and the "while you were away" report were still showing English in 21 languages. Both are properly translated now. The Freshwater and Reef booster packs have been removed from the shop.Read full article on Community Announcements (perverance)
