About this game
⚠️ Note: A claustrophobic horror experience with tight physics and high difficulty. Not for the faint of heart.
CAN YOU HOLD YOUR BREATH?
Scary Cave Diving is an immersive, first-person survival experience. You are trapped in a deep, underwater labyrinth with one goal: find the exit. But the caves are dark, your oxygen is draining quickly, and something massive is stalking you through the water.
SURVIVE THE DEPTHS
Dropped into a randomly generated cave system, no two dives are ever the same. You must navigate tight tunnels and open caverns using only your wits and limited resources. Use glow sticks to mark your path and illuminate the murky depths, but be careful—light might reveal things you wish stayed hidden.
THE APEX PREDATOR
You are not alone. A relentless shark patrols these waters. It can hear you, it can smell you, and it is always hungry.
Stealth & Speed: Avoid detection or swim for your life.
Defend Yourself: Scavenge for a rare flare gun to startle the beast—use it wisely, as it is your only line of defense in the main game mode.
Permadeath: If the shark catches you, or if your lungs run dry, it’s game over. The cave layout changes, and you must start your escape from scratch.
SHARK HUNTING
Need to blow off some steam after a terrifying dive? Step into the Shark Cage in a separate arcade-style game mode. Armed with a harpoon gun, turn the tables on your hunter. Shoot the shark, watch the blood mist fill the water, and take your revenge in a fight to the death.
GALEOPHOBIA SETTING
Dive into the abyss without the panic. Toggling the Galeophobia Setting swaps out the terrifying apex predators for something slightly less horrifying...

Patch NotesOfficial
Shark Repellent
Hey everyone,Another update is now live! I have been listening closely to your feedback, and this patch focuses on making your encounters with predators more terrifying, while also giving newer players a bit more room to breathe. Here is what is new in the depths:Reworked Shark AI: I heard your feedback—the shark felt a bit too tracking-heavy. I have reduced its awareness of your exact position. Encounters will now be rarer, which keeps the adrenaline high and the jump scares real, rather than making the gameplay feel tedious.Easy Mode Adjustment: The shark has been completely removed from Easy Mode. This gives new players a proper chance to figure out the controls and literally learn how to swim before facing the terrors of Medium and Hard difficulties.Oxygen Buff: Scuba tanks found in the caves are now much more effective. The oxygen refill amount has been increased from 33% to 50–75% of your max capacity, giving you a better fighting chance when exploration takes longer than expected.Thank you all for the amazing support and feedback. Keep telling me what you think, and let me know how these new mechanics feel during your next dive!— EkbladRead full article on Community Announcements (EkbladDev)Patch NotesOfficial
Balancing the Dark
Hey everyone,First of all, thank you so much for the feedback! After reviewing your dive logs and experiences in the depths, I've realized that the underwater caves were simply too big. In a survival experience where your oxygen is constantly draining and panic can set in at any moment, the worst thing a game can do is overstay its welcome. Tight, tense, and terrifying exploration can quickly turn tedious if a cave system drags on forever. To keep the pacing tight and your heart racing, I have implemented some basic balancing changes to reduce overall cave lengths across all difficulty settings. You will still need to manage your resources and watch out for what is stalking you in the dark, but you won't be trapped in an endless loop of tunnels. Here are the new depth adjustments for your next dive:Easy Mode: Reduced from 100 to 75Medium Mode: Reduced from 150 to 100Hard Mode: Reduced from 200 to 150Please keep the feedback coming and let me know how the new lengths feel. Can you hold your breath and escape the depths now? Let me know if you find anything else!Good luck down there, divers.— EkbladRead full article on Community Announcements (EkbladDev)Patch NotesOfficial
