Discover the thrill of inspecting cargo ships and boarding enemy vessels in RAID VR. With both solo play and 4-player co-op options, choose between protocol or profit as you hunt smugglers and raid interstellar freighters.
About this game
R.A.I.D is a VR co-op roguelite FPS set in deep space, where you serve as an ESF customs agent responsible for inspecting interstellar cargo traffic and intercepting smuggling operations.
This is a hybrid VR experience combining simulation-style inspection gameplay with fast-paced first-person shooter combat. Scan incoming space trucks, analyze cargo manifests, and decide which ships are cleared—or escalated for boarding and tactical assault.
When interception is required, you board massive procedurally generated spacecraft filled with pirates, alien threats, and valuable contraband. Fight through room-based ship interiors in intense VR combat, either solo or in up to 4-player online co-op.
Progression is driven by a roguelite structure and the ESF Ranger Rank system. Players earn credits and protocol points across repeated missions (shifts), unlocking new weapons, permanent upgrades, and milestone abilities. Weapon mods introduce explosive effects, overcharged energy shots, and experimental wormhole mechanics that alter combat encounters.
Each mission is a timed run with selectable risk levels that influence difficulty, cargo value, and rewards. Every fourth shift escalates into a large-scale boarding mission with higher enemy density, expanded ship layouts, and increased loot potential.
Built for VR immersion and simulation-style interaction, R.A.I.D uses fully diegetic systems: wrist-based health tracking, weapon-mounted ammo displays, and physical control terminals instead of traditional HUD elements.
Designed for both stationary VR gameplay and optional stick locomotion, the game supports comfortable play without reducing combat intensity.

Beta 0.9
Beta Version incoming! Version Selection normal Version (inluding savegames and progression) Playing on playtest-process or Steam's default branch will launch the default version of the game. This allows you to play the game normally. Multiplayer does work but loading times can be a bit longer and some desyncs can happen. Starting the game after updating it might reset your previous progress. This is due to some reworks on the savegame files. Demo Version Switching to the Steam beta branch called "playtest-demo" or "Demo" will present you with a demo version of the game. This version will not save your progress. It will load a predefined Lvl 15 savegame everytime it's started. The demo version is meant to be used to preview or showcase later weapons and features of the game, that are normally unlocked step-by-step playing the game. The demo version does not have a tutorial. So for the first attempt, it's advised to use the normal version. Start a multiplayer game: Host: If the player wants to invite their friends, they have to press the 'Multiplayer' button ingame (left to the mission selection). Then a small screen opens with an invite button on it. Press and hold this button until a small beep can be heard. The Steam invite overlay is now open on the pc screen. Enter the name of the player you want to invite or find them in the list of available players and click on them. This sends out an invite. After sending the invitation, close the overlay and go back to the game. Once the client accepts the invite they join the host's game. Client: Once the host has send an invitation, the client has to accept it. The client can do this by opening the Steam overlay (standard SHIFT + TAB) and click on the green 'Play Game' in the chat with the Host. After clicking it the client joins the Host's game. Best practice: To prevent desyncs while in multiplayer, the players should wait until all trucks for all players have arrived at the scanner and wait for entrance. While waiting they should do nothing, so don't use the control terminal and don't walk around. This way the desync chance is reduced dastrically. Notes on Multiplayer: Ingame voice chat has not been implemented yet. (will be added later) - Please use Discord, Teamspeak or similar to talk with your friends while playing. Invitation of other player directly in VR without switching to Steam is planned but not implemented yet. While in a multiplayer session, players can't visit the armory. They can leave the session, upgrade weapons in the armory and the...Read full article on Community Announcements (FusionPlay_Konrad)Patch NotesOfficial
