About this game
OUTBREAK: THE LAST SURVIVOR The outbreak didn't start with explosions. It started with silence.
OutBreak: The Last Survivor is a multiplayer post-apocalyptic survival game where trust is fragile, resources are scarce, and every decision matters. Enter a ruined world where civilization has collapsed, and your only goal is to survive one more day. Will you form alliances or trust no one? There is no scripted story—the narrative is created entirely by your choices and player interactions.
🔥 CORE FEATURES
Dual Perspective Gameplay: Switch seamlessly between First-Person for intense, immersive combat and Third-Person for wider environmental awareness and tactical positioning. Your perspective dictates your survival strategy.
Dynamic Multiplayer Encounters: Every player is a mystery. Are they a cautious ally, a neutral survivor, or a desperate looter? Read their body language and distance. Trust can save you, or get you killed.
Unforgiving Open World: Explore dense pine forests, collapsed highways, and partially destroyed cities. Every environment offers multiple tactical approaches and high-risk, high-reward looting zones.
Deep Survival Mechanics: Ammo and medical supplies are scarce. Manage your resources carefully while navigating dynamic weather, fog, and low-visibility conditions where sound is your best warning.
High-Stakes Looting: Every building you enter is a risk. Decide quickly: do you expose your position for better gear, or play it safe and stay hidden?
🌍 A PROJECT BUILT WITH PASSION OutBreak is proudly developed by a two-person team: a father and his 14-year-old son. Every mechanic, environment, and line of code is the result of learning, testing, and a deep passion for game development. By joining OutBreak, you aren't just buying a game; you are supporting a dedicated indie journey that will continuously evolve. All future updates, including new vehicles, weapons, and expanded locations, are completely free for owners of the game.
Welcome to the outbreak. Trust no one. Survive at all costs.

Massive Update: New Zombies, Map Expansion & Optimization

We have focused on drastically expanding the playable content while simultaneously polishing the technical foundations of the game to deliver a much smoother, more immersive, and realistic survival experience. Here are the detailed patch notes:The Threat Evolves (Zombie System Update)New infected types: Survival is now much more demanding. We have integrated explosive zombies that will force you to keep your distance, as well as "crazy" variants with erratic and lethal movement patterns.Improved AI: Normal zombies now feature fine-tuned perception systems, making their detection and hunting behaviors more natural and dangerous. The enemy ecosystem remains in active development and will continue to grow.Massive Performance & OptimizationTechnical Restructuring: A huge portion of the game's core code has been overhauled and optimized. This is the most crucial technical change of the update, ensuring much more stable frame rates (FPS) even during heavy-load situations.Large-scale Bug Fixes: We have dedicated significant time to eradicating a massive list of reported errors, collision glitches, and issues that were affecting the long-term gameplay experience.World Expansion and RealismNew explorable zones and cities: The map has grown significantly. We have designed and integrated new urban areas, expanding the street networks and adding greater density to the environments to encourage exploration and looting.Overhauled Ecosystem: Multiple new types of vegetation and foliage have been implemented, giving natural environments and abandoned urban areas an unprecedented level of realism and visual detail.Tactical Arsenal & Survival (New Items)Expanded Melee Combat: If you run out of ammo, you can now rely on newly added swords, axes, machetes, and pickaxes, each delivering heavy impacts to carve your way through the hordes.Tactical Tools: Ranged combat gets a strategic bo...Read full article on Community Announcements (Briant Entertainment)AnnouncementsOfficial
🔥 We Are Back! Active Development Resumes on OutBreak: The Last Survivor
Hello survivors! 🧟♂️We are excited to share an important update with our community: we are officially resuming active development on OutBreak: The Last Survivor! As a two-person father-and-son indie team, this project means everything to us. After taking time to review community feedback and evaluate our technical roadmap in Unreal Engine 5.5, we are taking direct action to improve the core experience. Rather than rushing empty content, our immediate focus is on performance, stability, and visual presentation. Here is what we are actively working on for the upcoming updates:⚙️ Deep Optimization & Performance Smooth gameplay is our top priority. We are optimizing World Partition streaming, clearing memory bottlenecks, and reworking actor spawning systems to boost FPS and drastically cut down initial loading times across various hardware configurations.🎨 Visual & Atmospheric Polish The post-apocalypse needs to feel bleak and immersive. We are fine-tuning environmental lighting, volumetric fog, atmospheric weather, and terrain details to make exploration darker, tenser, and visually cohesive.💻 Blueprint & Core System Refactoring We are cleaning up and rewriting foundational Blueprint systems. This work will increase single-player stability, fix network replication edge cases in multiplayer, and make core mechanics like combat, looting, and vehicle handling feel significantly more responsive.❤️ Thank You For Your Patience! To everyone who has played, provided constructive feedback, or kept OutBreak: The Last Survivor on their wishlist: thank you for sticking with us. Being a very small team means progress takes careful work, but we are committed to building the game right.Stay tuned—more update notes and technical previews are coming soon!— The OutBreak TeamRead full article on Community Announcements (Briant Entertainment)Patch NotesOfficial
