The forest is gone. The earth is poisoned. Your people burrow deeper, but there is nowhere left to hide.
You are Rootkin—nameless, expendable, born to dig in the dark.
But you have consumed something you should not have. Something that will not let you die.
Ashen Seed is a hand-drawn metroidvania of sacrifice and transformation.

Hello everyone!I’m Castel, the solo developer behind Ashen Seed.First of all, THANK YOU. The response to the trailer and the Steam page launch has been overwhelming. In just over a week, we crossed 1,500 Wishlists, and seeing the community grow has been incredible.For those new here: I am building this game late at night (from 10 PM to 3 AM) from my home in Southern Chile, hand-drawing every frame while my baby sleeps.
