About this game
Ardenne's king is dead and the country is in turmoil. The rightful heir to the throne, Prince Yuel, has gone missing, and a usurper has taken the throne.
The new king, Salim, is cold, ruthless, and hungry for power, and he is determined to see the runaway prince executed to consolidate his own rule. Six years have passed since Yuel's disappearance, however, and nobody has seen hide nor hair of him: not even Yuel's older cousin, Tavi.
Tavi's days are concerned with caring for his sickly mother and his job as Salim's spy and assassin. Six years of murder have left Tavi scarred, both physically and mentally: so much so, Tavi doubts that Yuel would recognise him if their paths were to converge once more...
But fate is a fickle, and Tavi soon learns that his feelings for his younger cousin are more complicated than he ever could have imagined.

Demo has been released!
What it says on the tin. Quick (and kind of belated haha I released the demo a few days ago) post to let you all know that the demo for Once Upon a Throne of Thorns is now out and playable on Steam! If you want some assassin BL then you've come to the right place! The demo is quite short, but the full VN is actually coded and edited as of writing this, and I'm planning to release the whole thing next month. Extra Chapter of BL VN All Scars and Starlight has been released!
Hello everyone! I've been working on this project for a while, and I'm proud to announce that I've released some DLC for my grimdark boys 'love' visual novel, All Scars and Starlight. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/1ee7b35019a5a9402a2d6188f4c7c4960cb361b2.png Scars is a BL story about a king whose throne was stolen from him in a coup, and the romance(?) which unfolds between the deposed king and his captor. As one might expect from the premise, it's rather grim, the characters have an incredibly unhealthy relationship dynamic, and there's a lot of drama. This is also an r18 visual novel with a fair amount of explicit scenes, so it is not appopriate for anybody under the age of 18. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/fb5691e059eba55c88397ffab76e1f78b1914f81.png The DLC adds about 80,000 words extra to the story, and it takes place one year after the 'good' and 'true' endings, but before the timeskip to the epilogues of both endings. To read the bonus chapter, you need to update the base game, buy the DLC, then read through either the 'good' or 'true' ending. You should be able to access the DLC after that. Please note: you will need to clear these two endings again, even if you achieved them once already, because I had to edit the code of the game a little to allow for the DLC to unlock.
