Vel Seraph: Seed One is a story-driven cyberpunk RPG set in the sprawling megacity of Vel Seraph—where corruption is routine, the government watches everything, and survival means navigating a world drowned in drugs, debt, and decay.
Lead Jason Vale and his fractured team through decaying districts, black-market clinics, and corporate towers in search of his kidnapped sister, Aria.

Deep Tactical Combat:
Unique classes - Command classes like the Glitchcaster, Nanophage, Neurodoc, Siphonist, Edge Dancer, Resonant, and more—each with their own unique mechanics and play styles.
Shards - Unlock and level up over 30 unique shards that can be swapped at anytime to further customise your party.
Boosts - Earn Boost charges every turn and apply them to skills to amplify damage or extend status effects. Boost a skill up to 10 times in a single turn for over 4X damage!
Perks - Choose from over 20 perks to shape your combat identity. Want to gain an extra action every turn but double all skill costs? GO FOR IT!
Passives - Over 15 passives to choose from that can be swapped at any time!
Gear Sets - Mix and match equipment from the same set to unlock bonus effects and unique synergies.
Status Effects - Over 40 debuffs, buffs, and tactical states to punish enemies, control the field, or empower your team.
Evolving Skills - Skills level up as you use them, growing in strength and sometimes unlocking completely new effects.

Hey all! Jon here with your July update! July was an incredibly special month. We hit the 1 year anniversary of development! I also took a couple of very quick breaks to make two tiny side games (split//fire and Wake up Todd) to cleanse the palette, but the bulk of the month was spent polishing the demo, hunting down bugs, and adding some awesome new mechanics.Here is a look at what was built this month:Demo Release & Milestones1 Year Anniversary! Hey all! Jon here with your June update! June was another highly productive month as we push closer to the demo. I spent a lot of time ironing out bugs, adding new gear mechanics, and polishing up cutscenes and dialogue. Here is a look at what was built this month: Scrap & Salvage System: Built a new scrap plugin featuring 5 tiers of materials (ranging from Salvaged Components up to Prototype Nanite Clusters). Corrupted & Adaptive Gear: Introduced Corrupted and Debugged gear to the loot tables, along with "Purge Chips" to cleanse corrupted items. Also added Adaptive Armor and the U.C.H. (Universal Circuitry Harmonizer) a powerful wildcard set piece!Gary's Modulations: Opened up a new socket shop and updated all Tier 1 and 2 armor sets to have max socket limits based on their tier.Gridgrave Traps: Added floor traps to the Gridgrave area to keep exploration dangerous.Narrational Videos: Finished and implemented 7 new Chapter 1 narrational videos.Cutscenes & Banter: Added a new Mira house return scene, fresh Pier 19 banter between Mira and Prin (as well as banter with a police drone), and an intro cutscene for the ice slide puzzle.Skill Tweaks: Fixed Jason's linked action skill and updated Nova's kit (Detox, Suture, and Revivex Shot can now be cast outside of battle. Hey all! Jon here with your May update! May brought us incredibly close to the demo finish line. Between locking in the core storyline, achieving massive performance optimizations, and polishing up the UI and mechanics, a lot of critical groundwork was laid.Here is a look at what was built this month:Performance OptimizationFPS Breakthrough: Hunted down and fixed a major resource drain. By cleaning up the video texture cache for Effekseer animations and disabling unnecessary provoke trail sprites that were rendering every frame, performance skyrocketed. Frame times were nearly cut in half, meaning smooth 60fps on modern rigs and massive improvements on older hardware. No more ghosting or lingering visual artifacts after skills, either!Narrative PolishStoryline Locked: The demo storyline is finished and locked in.Visual Overhauls & UI CustomizationCharacter Promo Cards: Finished creating new "realistic" portraits and official promo cards for the party.Player Customization: Built a custom window color picker so players can set their UI to whatever aesthetic they want (from dark blue to lime green or hot pink, and more).Glitch Aesthetics & UI: Added animated icon overlays (glowing, pulsing, shimmering effects to denote different item types) and implemented a slick new glitch-text effect for dialogue and the title screen.Mechanics, Implants & BalancingThe Implant Shop is Open: Fully stocked the shop with purchasable upgrades like the Thermal Iris, Gorilla Muscle Weave, Memory Wipe Buffer, and EMP Discharge Palms.Stats & Progression: Renamed "Perk Points" to "Augment Points."Base Stats: Added talent-raising items and balanced base stats so every single party member has a distinct specialty (the 8/6 rule).Combat Updates: We also implemented enemy level scaling and added Level 2 versions of our OC modes (Stoic, Warrior, Comrade, Healer).I got so much done this month and I'm very happy with the progress I've been making! Between deep playtesting sessions, expanding the world's interactivity, and building out entirely new mechanics from scratch, a lot of critical groundwork was laid.Here is a look at what was built this month:Brand New Systems & Plugin ReleasesSocket & Implant System: Built a fully functional socketing system from scratch. You can now find gear with random socket chances, slot in various tier 1-5 mods, and swap them out at the implant doctor. Bounty Boards: Implemented a working bounty system with terminals across Crownlight, East Sector, Kessler, and Pier 19 to track your completed hits.Stealth Mechanics: Started building out a dynamic stealth system featuring enemy detection meters, line-of-sight cones, security cameras, and distraction items.Factions & Reputation: Built the foundation for a faction system with visual standing bars, rivalries, and custom icons for the different groups you'll encounter.Mid-Battle Swapping: You can now dynamically swap a party member during combat (runs on a 3-turn cooldown).Animations & Visual PolishSkill Overhauls: Hooked up tons of new katana animations and renamed several key skills to fit the aesthetic better (Razor Bloom is now Death Echo, Crimson Dance is now Tenchi Slice, Petal Slash is now Petal Bite).
