  The Collector's Update

  The Collector's Update is here!Every frog in the pond is now a distinct thing worth collecting - it has a real breed name, a grade, and a page in a book you fill in as you play. Here is everything that changed. 🐸 Frogs & eggsThe frog roster grew to 41 frogs — new robots, jungle dwellers, spotted, origami, black and huge variants. 41 real breed names replace the old placeholders. There are proper frog riffs in there: Bullfrog for the spotted family, Dart Frog for the jungle, Horned Frog for the spiked, Tomato Frog, and a stone one simply called Grump. Colours mark the variants — Blue Bullfrog, Golden Dart Frog — and sizes take Little, Giant or Grand. The hatch reveal card. Cracking an egg is an event now. The moment it opens you get the frog's portrait, its name, its grade written as a word in the grade's own colour — grey, blue, purple, gold — and exactly what it will earn you per minute. Rarity follows the odds. Every frog's grade is set by how hard it is to hatch, with a promise attached to each egg: Frost and Robotic never give below Epic, Lava and Origami never below Rare. Where a frog came from matters. An Epic hatched from a Frost Egg earns more than an Epic from a Common Egg — the expensive egg's bonus is baked in when it hatches, and the frog keeps that rate for good. Blessed eggs. With a sheep in the pond, an egg in the incubator can be blessed while it hatches, and a blessed egg has ten times the chance of a Legendary. Frogs sell for what they are worth. A frog's price comes from its grade now, so a Legendary no longer sells for the price of a Common. You are asked before you sell one, and the earnings figure on the terminal is finally the real one. Selling a frog no longer eats its hat.   The next demo update is on its way!It has been a busy few weeks at the pond. The demo is about to get a bigger roster, a wiki of its own, new quests and a much tidier backpack. Here is what is coming. 🐸 Frogs & EggsThe frog roster grew to 41 frogs — new robots, jungle dwellers, spotted, origami, black and huge variants. Every one of them now has a real breed name instead of a placeholder. Now you can see what you are gambling on before you buy. There is a final row for the frogs no egg gives you at all — the ones you have to find another way. Frogs you have not met yet appear as silhouettes marked "???", and every discovery is saved, so the book fills in as you play. Completing it is its own goal.📜 QuestsTwo new quests have been added to the demo, and an old one that asked for more frogs than your pond could hold has been put right. 🎒 Four Bags, Four CountersThe waste bag used to swallow every loose object in the world, which made it useless for anything specific.
