Lead your crew through perilous seas in Orders, Captain!, an engaging action-adventure experience where every shout shapes the outcome. Dive into a world of high-stakes battles and strategic decision-making with Charlie’s indie take on classic pirate themes.
About this game

Orders, Captain! is a voice-controlled game about yelling at six barely competent crew members while enemy ships close in from every side. As the captain of a tiny cannon ship, your only hope is your microphone: call your crew by name, bark orders to load and fire the cannons, and try to keep your nerves as the sea turns into chaos.
DISCLAIMER: the game MAY feature some "tomfoolery"...

Call your crew members by their names, they are at your service at all times. After all, you are the captain...

Once you’ve called their names, your crew members wait for your next words. Want to make Bob walk the plank and jump to his death with the kraken? or have Smithy punch Joe in the face?, the choice is yours, Captain.

Command your crew carefully to blast incoming ships before they tear your hull apart. Miss your shots or panic at the wrong time, and you’ll be the one sinking.
the game features a singleplayer PVE mode where you try to survive as much as you can and a multiplayer PVP up to 4 player free-for-all battle royale where each player has its own ship and crew to command.
there will be online matchmaking so you can join random lobbies or you can also create private matches and invite your friends, remember: a good captain sinks with his ship!
also there's rum and dynamite and dry biscuits

IMPORTANT: "allow apps to access your microphone" must be turned on in your computer settings for the game to be able to detect your voice, go to settings -> privacy -> microphone and make sure its turned on

SMALL BIG UPDATE!
ok so the past 10 days or so I've just been adding a lot of stuff to the game without making a proper announcement so this is basically a summary of what I've been doing:pooping (very)sleeping (not much) I ADDED A MICROPHONE SETUP!! click the mic setup in the main menuso a lot of people been having issues with their microphone in the game and the majority of this is caused because "allow apps to access your microphone" and "allow desktop apps to access your microphone" is not turned on in you computer, turning this on will most likely fix the issue, you can see if this is turned on in your pc in the mic setup panel and you can click open settings that will open mic settings so you can turn them on if they aren't. I added a "select microphone" module so you can choose which microphone to use in the game as well as a visual input bar so you can see you voice (?)MORE COMMANDS! I don't wanna go to jail idk if this is bad bad or just bad but I added some weird commands. I ADDED SOMEHTING VERY COOL AND USEFULLso I know there are times where the game might feel very frustrating because you are about to tell a crewmember to shoot the cannon and an enemy ship is getting close by and in that moment the crewmember decides he wants to go grab some rum or go beat bob up. and so he leaves his lane unattended. I guess that is part of the game but for the people who do not like that I added buttons in the settings menu where you can disable "allow random rum breaks" and "allow random crew fights" which means if you turn them off they will NEVER leave their lanes and will ALWAYS be ready for your commands. I've done more stuff I just don't remember right now (I need sleep)more commands coming very soonmore random activities coming very soon (like stuff they do randomly) ummm idk yes,MULTIPLAYERI've been working SO HARD to get the multiplayer ready, Its coming really really soon. I Wanna say probably next week but I don't want to underestimate the current bugs that are delaying it, 2...Read full article on Community Announcements (Not A Real Game Studio)Patch NotesOfficial
nothing to see here... OK BIG UPDATE!!
Ok where do I start!?first of, changed the visuals of the game.... WAY BETTER!- characters now have big BIG eyes- jumping to the ocean will now BLAST you to orbit at 100 mph- loosing the game will ragdoll the f out of you- enemy pirates now literally explode when you destroy their shipsNEW COMMANDS!honestly just one but very cool"explode" FIXED "BUGS"so there were a lot of times where the crewmembers were actually busy when you gave them commands like they were about to get knocked out by another crewmember or they were telling you something and in those cases commands "didn't go through" but they actually did the problem was the crewmember was busy so the action didn't happen in order to not interfere with what they were about to do, the game now lets you know in this situations the selected crewmember could not follow the command because of this, "bob is busy".also fixed the way walking in the ship works like there were a lot of messy colliders that just made walking on the ship disgusting. not happening anymore!- you can now throw dynamite to a crewmember and he will blast off to literal orbit.hopefully this makes the game better lmk what you think!alsomultiplayer not ready yet but ITS COMING!!other minor things improved:- changed the ocean and the sky, they now look way better and fit the visuals- crewmembers and enemies now die realistically due to ragdolls instead of just a plain dying animationI'm working on a new trailer with the updated features and visuals, should be up soon!thank you VERY much for every single buy!!more big updates coming soon!Read full article on Community Announcements (Charlie)Patch NotesOfficial
BIG UPDATE!
dude I rebuilt the whole game...ok so I've been working VERY HARD to get this game to achieve its full potential, this is the first of many big updates that will try to get the game there...FULL REBRANDING!aight so I literally re-invested all the money the game made (yes! the whole entire $78.45!) into improving the game visuals and feedback, it should now feel like a way better quality game, WAY BETTER ACTUAL SHIPS, CHARACTERS, SKY, OCEAN AND PROPS FIXED WAY TOO MANY BUGS...there were MANY bugs when crewmembers transitioned from one animation to another and I literally had to rebuilt the entire system so that they cannot be interrupted when doing an animation.BETTER UIyup I did that. I'm honestly really proud of the UI I think its very cool but that's just me tho...MORE IMMERSIVE GAMEPLAY!added A LOT of feedbacks to the gameplay, it now actually feels like you are firing a cannon, destroying an enemy ship, getting shot at, etc. (camera shakes and whatnot) its should now feel like a really immersive gameplay, also the drunk effect is now a real drunk effect not just a ms paint image overlay.MULTIPLAYERunfortunately multiplayer is down at the moment as I'm rewriting the whole water dynamics and the ship controller so it actually feels like a REAL AAA game naval battle. I have REALLY big plans for this game.I will just say this: the multiplayer of this game is gonna be INSANE. just let me cook I promise.expect the multiplayer update soon with the new branding WHATS NEXTas I said, I REALLY want to get this game to achieve its full potential, I have a lot of plans for this game and quite the work left to do to get there but I really want to build the best naval battle experience I can, single-player and multiplayer will be FULLY rewritten (yes, again) (it will be WAY better I promise)I will keep re-investing the WHOLE entire revenue of the game and I mean it, and yes the price will still be $1 (f*ck it)thank you SO much for 200 copies sold, I really, REALLY appreciate i...Read full article on Community Announcements (Charlie)
