In Astracide, navigate the astral plane and face ever-changing threats through dynamic loot and broken builds. Each run is a new challenge as you battle your inner demons.

About this game

Your inner demons are real, and they can be killed.

A wave-survival FPS on the astral plane. Project in. Rampage through the entities feeding on your despair. Ascend, or keep killing forever.

Every run generates fresh loot. 9 weapons with randomized stats. Upgrades with variable effects and triggers. No two runs will be the same.

Your attunement to this realm — your resonance — is your lifeline. Perform well and you build it up. Spend it to heal, mind-wipe enemies into servants, warp across the map, and trigger weapon alt-fires. Spend too much and your wounds will never close.

Sell what you don't need. Buy from the shop. Fuse upgrades into stronger ones. Craft your own weapons. Bend the run to your will.

Survive as long as you want. Defeat the final boss and ascend past ignorance — or continue your campaign indefinitely.

  • 16 enemies, 5 bosses

  • 5 stages

  • 9 weapons

  • 14 abilities across 3 tiers

  • Upgrade fusing & crafting

  • Economy with shop rotation

    Patch Notes — v1.0.0

New ContentSongemaSongema — it came to me in a dream: Baseball bat that is imbued with different elemental effects and swaps between them with every swing, can apply these effects to baseballs it can summon and then hit at enemies. Its stats now scale off both weapon stats and your melee stats Swing rate now speeds up with fire rate — the higher your fire rate, the faster the bat swings. Saklas (Boss)All-new spawn cinematic with accompanying SFX and an environment shift. Added a proper death sequence — a shattering sound and a rising hymn to announce your victory. Fixed his music not playing during the fight.Fixed his bite clipping through the floor. Fixed arms getting stuck in midair and leaving behind lingering "ghost" arms.Fixed his projectile pattern (it previously formed an unfortunate shape). General polish pass on his overall behavior. Enemies & BossesBoss rush overhaul: Bosses no longer all spawn at the exact same moment. They now arrive in escalating clusters — each new cluster only appears once the previous one is fully defeated. Pneumaturge behavior reworked — previously it was predictable and boring.Flying rodents are no longer drunk buggy half baked nightmares. Trove: Improved its run-away behavior so it no longer wedges itself into corners and gets stuck, along with a broader BackAway improvement for fleeing enemies.Tulpa homing toned down for normal spawns — when it appears as a regular enemy its projectile homing is less aggressive, while its first boss appearance keeps the stronger homing.Improved enemy pathing so they no longer walk or jump into large pits, and flying enemies no longer dive into pits and die.Friendly damage buff: All friendlies now deal 75% more damage on top of their existing scaling, so a friendly rodent hits 75% harder than an enemy one — fixing cases where friendlies did almost no damage. Ragdolls & PhysicsReworked ragdolls for far better, more believable knockback.Fixed ragdolls receiving way too much impulse velocity — the 19...

    Patch Notes — v0.8.7

LeaderboardsGlobal stat leader boards just dropped! Not sure why it took me so long to realize this should be a thing, but it is now. Compete with your friends and the entire world to see who can get to the highest wave and on which difficulty they did so. Your highest wave is automatically saved to the leader board Game-playOn the advice of a play tester the 1911 alt fire is now continuous automatic fire sustainable for as long as the player has resonance EnemiesFixed enemies bobbing up and down while climbing ramps.Enemies that get stuck — unable to reach the player for over 5 seconds while off-screen — are now quietly re spawned so they rejoin the fight instead of standing around. Companions & SecretsThere's now a 1 in 100 chance for a Nightcrawler to show up holding that blicky with a switch.

PerformanceFixed frame stuttering that occurred the first time the Energy Bolt ability was used.AudioFixed a bug where casting Lightning and Heal at the same time would silence all game audio for the rest of the run (sound only returned after unpausing).EnemiesPupa: Reduced excessive damage resistance after transformation.Tulpa: Ranged attacks now angle upward to hit the player when they're above the Tulpa or up a ramp (previously fired horizontally into walls).Tulpa: Reflected projectiles no longer home toward enemies — homing has been removed from reflected projectiles entirely.Abilities & WeaponsEggun alt-fire is now much more obvious — added multiple firing SFX matched to each projectile, plus strong recoil when the weapon fires.UI & Quality of LifeThe ability keybind display in the info UI is now much more obvious. The "skip to next wave" keybind is now much more obvious. You can now shift-click to move items from your inventory directly into an equip slot.Moved Tutorial above Easy in the difficulty list (previously at the bottom).SettingsFixed the V-Sync setting not persisting when turned off.Visual EffectsFixed the underwater effect appearing where it shouldn't — on old saves in the first level, and on the main menu.
