Demo Update #4
Continuing my update marathon for the demo verison i bring new stuff.Reworked the skirmish map, more mirrored encounters, new maps and layouts.Especially the swamp 1v1 is a new mapNew scoring endscreen after a map is completed (units lost etc.) and reworked victory/ lose conditions. Can customize victory condition and hero start level in skirmishMore interesting to play against the demon faction nowNew hero necrolord for the enemy with its own set of spells: raise dead, soul sipphon, fireball and harvester aura Raise dead: Summons more and more zombies from corpses per level, chance increases to summon zombie archersSoul Sipphon: Attacks change to a pierce shot that applies weak and transfers damage into mana for the caster. Hits own units as well.Fireball: Long range casting, longer lasting fire fieldsHarvester Aura: Activate, drains mana when corpses nearby that then get consumed to heal self and allies in area.General faction rework, many new sprites and animations, more player colors for unitsCorspes now remain and decay (Not all sprites finished yet)Can click minimap to jump camera toCampaign reworks, new map with survive mechanics inbetweenLots of balance rework, trying to get the snowballing demon faction right vs the human faction more structured progressionWorking towards multiplayer for a bigger playtest soon, there you will also be able to play the demon faction. For the demo the human faction only remains playable. Also, there is a discord now as i want to exchange thoughts with dedicated players, especially because of balance and design ideas for the game: discord.gg/2wA7W9vHARead full article on Community Announcements (Ratmaster)Patch NotesOfficial
Demo Update #3
As promised i keep updating the demo to make it a well rounded experience.Fixes and new Stuff:New skirmish map selection - Can play against up to three enemies and play with allied A.i. players. Can switch player slots allied and enemy color, faction, difficulty etc. Great fun and chaos! (But was a lot of work)Fixed an issue with the objectives in campaign mission 02 where you could not proceed at the end.New hero ability blessing aura. Buff yourself and nearby allies with armor, move and attack speed. Active aura burns mana, good for quick pushes against the enemy.Peasants can now repair buildings once you upgraded to castle. In the commands tab you can auto repair on/ off or even set repair priorities.Buildings can be set on fire by enemy fire attacks. Peasant repairing reduces the fire step by step. Stone buildings are less likely to catch fire.Priests can be researched to cast flaming light, buffing allies with bonus damage and fire resistance.Priests have now an toggle under commands tab to determine what they are allowed to auto cast.Minimap pings and you can click on the minimap to zoom there. Camera stays there until you press spacebar for follow cam again.Reworked light and coloring of whole game, bit darker and tried to make it more readable.New sprites (secure sawmill etc.)Enjoy!Read full article on Community Announcements (Ratmaster)Patch NotesOfficial

Demo is Live!
Since a view days the demo page is up and running and you can play the demo. This is in preparation for the Steam Next Fest participation.I plan to keep the demo alive for longer and give it regular updates, so your feedback will directly influence further development of the game. The content of the demo are the first four campaign missions and three skirmish missions that unlock after the first tutorial mission. If you mainly care about the RTS feeling of the game, i recommend to play the more difficult skirmish maps, they offer a real challenge against the a.i. opponent and you can get a feel for the different upgrades and unit types. To reach a new tier, you need to select the barracks in the upgrades menu and then select the greenly highlighted outpost on the map. Some sprites are still placeholders and the aim of the demo is to see if people like this rather exotic mix of grid based unit movement with RTS base building and indirect army commands, which can feel rather restrictive at times. In the latest build i also finally added a minimap, as some maps got a bit bigger then anticipated. Furthermore the demo received a small patch - v0019Patch Notes:Added a functional minimap, bottom left cornerFixed a problem with incorrect amount of ability points loadedPriest death anim and new attack animation with bonus damage against undeadSound and visual feedback when new units are captured (campaign only)Read full article on Community Announcements (Ratmaster)Patch NotesOfficial
