Explore eerie corridors and uncover haunting truths by reviewing your own recordings in The Red Window. An indie adventure from Hijinx, Inc., this first-person horror experience challenges you to piece together a terrifying past one glance at a time.

About this game

Step into the shoes of Calvin Merrick, a film student drawn to an abandoned house on the outskirts of Millhaven long shrouded in a chilling urban legend. What begins as a simple documentary project quickly spirals into a descent of first-person narrative driven psychological horror. Blending found-footage realism, tense exploration, and immersive, slow burn terror. Uncover dark truths buried in cosmic horror as you face a journey of personal nightmares, reminiscent of Blair Witch, Outlast, and Layers of Fear.

Your body cam is your lifeline. Review your previously recorded footage to uncover hidden paths, spot environmental clues, and reveal details you might have missed in the moment. Every frame could mean the difference between life and death when solving puzzles.

Every encounter tests your instincts. Deranged figures roam Dry Acres that will chase you on sight, forcing you run, hide, or dash for survival. One wrong turn can mean death. Use your environment to break line of sight, evade pursuit, and stay one step ahead.

As Calvin delves deeper, his perception begins to blur. The line between reality and imagination starts to dissolve, twisting the familiar into something deeply unsettling. The deeper he goes, the more his sanity and the truth  hang by a thread.

  •  Immersive body cam perspective for a grounded, realistic horror experience

  •  Run, hide, and survive encounters with unpredictable enemies

  •  Review your footage to uncover hidden paths, environmental clues, and details you might have missed

  •  Liminal level design with story rich lore

  •  Psychological and surreal puzzles that twist perception and memory

  •  Atmospheric sound design and dynamic lighting that heighten tension

  •  A slow burn psychological horror narrative grounded in found-footage realism
