About this game
"Chess & Chapters" is a 2D turn-based tactical strategy game.In a fictional sci-fi setting, players take on the role of Pan, a commander of the Messenger Foundation. You command your field team via the Board OS and plunge into conflicts rooted in the past and war.Drawing inspiration from traditional board games like chess for its gameplay design,the game allows players to navigate through levels in turn-based battles—using strategy to command different pieces and leverage their unique skills—while gradually uncovering the full story.
The game’s core mechanic is bound move‑attack. When launching assaults against enemies, players must constantly factor in positioning. This delivers a distinctly different strategic experience.
Another core feature is the enemy intent preview system. Your tactical decisions will dynamically alter enemy intentions. Make full use of this mechanic to gain decisive battlefield advantages.
You can gradually strengthen your squad, unlock and equip tactical modules to take on more challenging missions, and make your battles feel far more fluid and effective.
Tailor your combat setup freely for each mission, and complete objectives in your own way.

What this test isThis is the first test for Chess Chapters.The test is open for players who would like to try the game early. The main goal is to check the core combat, stage pacing, character skills, and overall controls.This is a work-in-progress build.
