Embark on a whimsical golfing journey through a handcrafted gnome world, where every swing tests your skills. Use mouse-controlled precision to navigate unique courses with friends or solo.

About this game

Three gnomes are pictured on a golf course, clubs in hand running towards a red flag. One gnome, centered, is in a golf cartWelcome to Grass Gnome Golf, a whimsical and realistic golf game by solo developer Guiseppe of Grass Gnome Games.

Long celebrated as caretakers of gardens, gnomes have extended their love of the land into a new art form: golf courses! Enter Guiseppe's Clubhouse and complete courses for in-game Gnome Coins, which can be spent on new clubs or cosmetics. This game is not easy; swing skill is learned over time. Fight for course records against the very best Grass Gnome Golfers.

Gnomes may be short, but there’s nothing “mini” about the golf here.

Take on the range with an arsenal of clubs. Drive, whack, and putt your way to a course record in this full 3D golf game. Traverse courses solo or with friends, on foot or in a trusty golf cart; don’t forget your bag!
Your inventory might hold every club under the sun, but you can only bring six into each round. Choose wisely.

How good is your golf swing?

Club speed is entirely controlled by your mouse. Set your angle, then swing like par depends on it. (Sensitivity is fully customizable. The real trick is figuring out how much oomf your club needs to get the ball where you want it.)

Play your way.

Host a game to explore the putting green, driving range, and Clubhouse. When you’re ready for a real round, head to the Pro Shop counter and pick from an ever-growing collection of gnome-made maps. Each course is fully customizable, allowing for a quick practice run or a full adventure.

Whether you’re playing solo or with friends, Grass Gnome Golf is built to give you that real-golf feeling in a not-so-real world.

Happy gnolfing!

    NEW: Emotes & Achievements

Every gnome’s deepest desires have finally been answered: the Emotes & Achievements update is here.Alongside map updates, core fixes, and general bug squashing, this update introduces two big additions:The Emote Wheel (press and hold G)Steam AchievementsThere are still some bugs out there to find. During testing, I actually got my first-ever hole-in-one… but the achievement didn’t trigger. Sad moment. That issue has now been fixed, but please still report anything unusual you run into.I’ve also added 8 emotes, all accessible through a radial wheel. Just hold G and move your mouse to select. Honestly, this is one of my favorite features I’ve made so far - let me know what you think, I'll be checking the community hub if anyone posts a screenshots :) One more exciting note: Grass Gnome Golf has been selected for a Humble Bundle partnership! From 4/24 to 5/15, the game will be included in Fore! A Golf Bundle. This helps support both developers and charities, and includes a bunch of great golf games - highly recommended for any golf fan. For Steam-only users, don't worry, I'll be running a discounted deal within the coming weeks. Thanks again for all the support. I’ll be posting an updated roadmap later this week with some bigger ideas and upcoming features.Cheers! Happy gnolfing Guiseppe, dev of Grass Gnome Golf

    Build 1.0.15 Patch Notes

Howdy Gnolfers! In this small update, I introduce a tutorial (as requested), some new animations, and more... - Added putting animation - Added Chipping animation - Added BETA backflip animation (hold G and jump) - New cow bucket hat - Tutorial, accessible from the old 'tutorial' button in the main menu - Map shading changes - Shadow adjustments / Render changes - Mini race-course for the clubhouse Known bugs: - Golf carts still don't work in multiplayer in the clubhouse. I have reports that it's fixed once in-game; I'm still looking into this issue. - Exiting map then starting a new course does not reset the total holes played count, can lead to errors Working on getting more maps out once I have a job. Until then, expect maybe one big update a month! Cheers, Guiseppe

    NEW MAP & UPDATES

Howdy Gnolfers! I'm happy to bring you all the second map Elderflower Hills! This new map brings new features: WATER! Without revealing too much, let's just say, it brings a splash of color to your gameplay. The new map features 9 new holes, same as Greentail. You can customize which holes to play similarly in the Pro-Shop Map Select. Also in this update I've included two new cosmetics; the fish hat and the kebab club! My goal is to release a million items, but time is a tough constraint. This is all for now. My constant fight against the bugs continues. I will hopefully have improved the carts ability to function in multiplayer; if it is still broken, feel free to reach out so I can study this issue. Additionally, I hope I have improved various bugs and glitches experienced; I will continue my best effort to make the game fun and playable. Happy golfing!Guiseppe
