Patch 0.7.0: Build Your Own Exchange
An exchange has been reaching into your wallet since the first hour of this game. One got hacked and took coins out of your balance, and you did not choose which ones. One froze a coin while you were holding it and you sat there watching a number you could not act on. One delisted something and your position stopped being a position. Fees went up exactly when the market got violent, which is exactly when you needed to move. None of them ever offered you anything afterwards. The only protection that exists in this game is a piece of software you had to buy with your own money, which tells you everything about who was expected to absorb the loss. This patch hands you the other side of that. You buy the third building, you open your own exchange, and now every one of those decisions is yours. Somebody else is holding coins on your platform. When you get hacked, and you will, the question of whether they get their money back is a question you answer. You will find that it is a harder question from this chair. New Feature: Opening The ExchangeThe Third Building: The Exchange Office costs 350,000 and it is the last purchase in the chain. Eight desks in it, and none of the exchange staff can exist without it. The sign has been standing out there since the last patch. The Licence: The exchange itself is another 180,000 on top of the building. That opens the doors with four listing slots and nothing else, so plan on spending more before it earns anything.Three Things To Upgrade: Servers decide how many coins you can list and how much volume you can clear in a day. Security decides how often you get hacked and how much it costs when you do. Liquidity backing decides how big a coin is allowed to be before it will talk to you. They are bought separately and on purpose, because buying the cheap one first is a mistake I want you to be able to make. The Commission Dial: One rate for the whole exchange, from 0.05 percent up to 0.5 percent, and you turn it. Raise it and you earn more ...Read full article on Community Announcements (SUMER)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 0.6.1: Some Fixes
Patch 0.6.1When you move your setup to the Trade Office, items purchased from the market are now delivered in front of the Trade Office. You no longer need to walk all the way back home to pick them up.Fixed an issue where the stairs in the Trade Office could behave like a wall and block the player.Fixed an issue where the air conditioner could clip into the wall when mounted.Updated the position of the new interaction panel. At the beginning of the game, it could appear behind the onboarding panel, making the key prompt for sitting at the computer impossible to see.Read full article on Community Announcements (SUMER)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 0.6.0: Property Purchasing and Trading Office
The last patch gave your money somewhere to go, and I think that part worked. What it did not fix is that all of it still happened on a screen. You launched a coin on a screen, you watched a chart on a screen, you clicked campaign buttons on a screen. The room around the desk was scenery. You could be sitting in a cardboard box and nothing about the game would change. So this patch takes the money off the screen and puts it in the room. You buy the place you have been renting since day one, you buy a building to put desks in, and then you hire people who sit at those desks and lose your money in ways you did not authorise. It is the first time the game asks you to be a manager instead of a trader, and it is the first time your apartment is worth walking around in. New Feature: Buying PropertyYour Own Apartment: You have been paying rent since the first day and never owning anything. You can now buy the apartment you already live in for 35,000 USDT. The rent line disappears from your bill the moment you own it.It Is Not An Investment: Property tax replaces the rent and it is higher than the rent was, 180 per billing period against the 100 you were paying. Water and electricity also go up with every building you own. Do not buy the apartment to save money, because it will not. Buy it because it is the only thing that puts the next building on the market. The Trade Office: The second building costs 130,000 and it is the one with the trading floor in it. Eight desks fit on that floor, and until you own the building there is nowhere to put a desk at all.The Order Is Fixed: Apartment first, then the office, then the third building. Each one puts the next one up for sale. The signs are already out there in the world, so you can walk past the thing you cannot afford yet and see the price, which I think is more motivating than a locked menu entry. What the third building is for is the subject of the next patch.Buildings Are Not Resellable: There is no property market and you ...Read full article on Community Announcements (SUMER)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 0.5.0: Launch Your Own Coin
The single thing I heard most since Early Access started is that money stops meaning anything once you get good at trading. You build a large balance and then there is nothing left to do with it. That came up in the reviews, in the comments and constantly on Discord, and it was fair. So this patch is mostly one big feature aimed at exactly that problem. I looked at a few directions for late game spending. The one I kept coming back to was the one that stays connected to the game you are already playing, instead of sitting next to it. You spend your money inside the same market, on a coin of your own, and then you have to live with what you did to it. New Feature: Launch Your Own CoinThe Launchpad: A new app on your second monitor lets you create and run your own token. You pick the name, the ticker and the supply, you decide how much of it you keep, and you fund the liquidity yourself. Buying back your own token pushes the price up, selling your stake pushes it down, and the market reacts to both over the following minutes instead of freezing where you left it.Running The Project: Twelve moves are available, from a cheap dev log up to marketing campaigns, influencer promotions, exchange listings and an independent audit. Each one costs money and goes on cooldown. What they actually do depends on your reputation, so the same campaign is worth more in the hands of a developer people already trust.Hype And Trust: The price follows two things you manage separately. Hype brings attention and fades on its own if you stop feeding it. Trust is slower, it is what keeps buyers around when the price dips, and it is much easier to lose than to build.Promises Have A Cost: Announcing a roadmap is cheap and it works, but it puts you in debt to your community. Keep announcing without delivering and the same moves start backfiring, the FUD arrives, and the audience you bought turns on you. Shipping real progress is the only way to clear that debt.Things Happen Without You: Whales en...Read full article on Community Announcements (SUMER)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 0.4.0: Sandbox and UI Improvements
A lot of this patch is about giving you more control over how you want to play, improving the game feel outside the trading screen, and cleaning up several systems that were creating rough edges.New FeaturesSandbox Settings: A new sandbox setup has been added when starting a new game. You can now tune several core rules before entering the game, including bills, bill amounts, debt pressure, market volatility, player order impact, starting balance, and how much news affects prices. Additionally, you can access the sandbox menu mid-game to adjust many of these settings on the fly. Sandbox Presets: Presets were added to make setup faster. You can use a ready-made configuration or adjust the values yourself for a more relaxed, stricter, or experimental run. Steam Cloud: Steam Cloud support is now active. Your save data can now sync through Steam Cloud when supported by your Steam setup. Since I haven't been able to fully test this on a second PC yet, please let me know if you run into any issues with your saves syncing. Running: The character can now run by holding Shift. This should make moving around the map feel better, especially as more world interactions are added. ImprovementsUI Refresh: Several menus and modals have been updated with a cleaner and more modern look. I plan to keep moving the interface in this direction over time, especially where older screens still feel inconsistent. Market Balance: Player impact values have been adjusted. Large player actions should now feel better balanced against the market simulation. Sandbox Flexibility: The game now supports more play styles. If you want a more relaxed simulator, you can reduce pressure from bills and debt. If you want a more market-driven experience, you can reduce or disable news price impact and lean more on the price engine. Bug Fixes Margin Liquidation: Opening a 100x margin position could cause immediate liquidation in cases where it should not. This has been fixed. Because sandbox mode touches many ...Read full article on Community Announcements (SUMER)
