About this game
"Alone" redefines psychological horror in a roguelite format, intertwining two lives marked by tragedy. Uncover Charles’s secrets within his nightmares and experience the absolute silence of Danny. This title balances desperate defense with non-linear storytelling to tackle themes of mental health and trauma, grounded in rigorous research for profound realism.
Alone features a decision-making system in 2D with a more classic style, which directly acts upon the 3D scenario and its ambiance, influencing the ending of your story.
Upon dying, you return to the beginning of the nightmare, but at the same time to a different moment in the story, with the opportunity to change your decisions to see other possible outcomes. This aims to guarantee a unique experience with each attempt.
It conveys the overwhelming feeling of enclosed spaces in first person, and the perspective of appreciating the wide panorama of chaos in third person.
A story that can be told from the end to the beginning, or vice versa, thanks to its homogeneity.

The nightmare begins: The ALONE demo is now available! 👁️
Hello everyone,I know I promised that the doors to this nightmare would open on June 12. As a solo developer, sometimes the demons of development are harder to overcome than those in the game itself. I decided to take a few extra days to fix the last few bugs (as far as I know) and make sure the atmosphere was just right. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience. The first version of the ALONE demo is now available for download! I want to be completely transparent with you: this is a first version (v1.0). I’ve decided to release it today so you can take your first steps alongside Charles, experience the core of our Adaptive Terror system (which is a bit limited for now, but made with a lot of love), and feel the tension of the story. However, I’ll continue updating the demo over the coming weeks. There are still some missing mechanics, details, and features that I’ll be adding in future patches. Development never stops! Since this is a one-person project, your feedback is my best tool. If you find any bugs or want to suggest improvements for future updates, feel free to leave a message on the community forums or send me an email at: agamecalledalone@gmail.com If the atmosphere gives you goosebumps, the best way you can support this indie project is to leave a review for the demo and add the full game to your Wishlist. Turn off the lights, put on your headphones, and try not to lose your mind. Thanks for playing!Andrew - Developer of ALONE: MnemophobiaRead full article on Community Announcements (khalinus)AnnouncementsOfficial

We will be uploading the standalone video to our channels very soon. In the meantime, I want to talk to you about the Playable Demo.A Message from the DeveloperDeveloping an indie game in Venezuela comes with its own set of unique survival mechanics. Over the past few weeks, my region has been hit by severe and continuous power outages. Our amazing artist drew the image above to represent how we've been working lately: quite literally in the dark.Because of these massive blackouts, I wasn't able to upload and get the final build of the demo approved by Steam in time for today's event. I refuse to give you a rushed or broken experience. Therefore, I have decided to push the release back just a few days. The Official Playable Demo will launch next week, on JUNE 12!In this upcoming demo, you will:Face "The Presence" in a disturbing 2D interrogation.Survive the claustrophobic hallways of Charles's apartment.Experience the Dynamic Sanity System, where darkness corrupts your vision and audio in real-time.I am taking these extra days to polish the atmosphere and ensure the psychological terror is as immersive as possible. If you want to support my work and be notified the exact second the demo goes live, please hit that Wishlist button! Overcoming these obstacles is only possible thanks to your support.See you in the dark on June 12.- Andrew (Solo Developer)Read full article on Community Announcements (khalinus)
