Your Story, Your Choices, Your Gameplay
A sharp-witted investigator with a talent for navigating lies, she's handed a rare lead, an invitation to Nocturne, the clandestine club where the elite shed their masks and morality.
But Nocturne is just the beginning.

What starts as a simple surveillance job unravels into a deeper conspiracy, missing girls, falsified identities, and a city stitched together by corruption. From neon-lit penthouses to sewer tunnels, Kate must follow the clues through every layer of society’s rot.

Every lead is a choice. Every truth, a risk.
And the deeper she digs, the more Kate realises: she might not be the hunter after all.
City of Sin – The Nocturne Files is a choice-driven visual novel that blends investigative gameplay with narrative branching.
You’ll uncover clues, question motives, and decide who Kate can trust as you navigate a world where every decision has weight.

Tricity is growing… and I could really use your help.
Episode 2 is finally here and it’s by far the biggest update I’ve ever worked on: • Nearly 99,000 words in total • 2,948 renders across Episodes 1 & 2 • 33 animations • 22 achievements • Multiple routes, choices, investigations, dreams, fights and consequencesI’ve spent a huge amount of time building City of Sin and pushing the world, characters and atmosphere further with every update. But one thing I’ve learned very quickly is that Steam visibility depends massively on reviews and engagement.Right now, the game has some genuinely amazing feedback, but not enough reviews for Steam to really start pushing it out to more people. So if you’ve enjoyed City of Sin, connected with Kate, liked the atmosphere, the mystery, the choices, Amanda, the massage routes, or just enjoyed spending time in the game...Please consider leaving a Steam review.Even short reviews genuinely make a massive difference and help more people discover the game.Thank you to everybody who has supported the project so far. Seeing people talk about the characters, routes and theories has honestly been surreal. Now let’s head deeper into the city.– DoAdventuresRead full article on Community Announcements (doadventures)Patch NotesOfficial
Episode 2
Episode 2 includes: • 2,948 renders • 33 animations • Almost 99,000 words • 3.2 GB of content • 22 achievements • A brand new walkthrough system • A ridiculous amount of branching choices This episode goes far deeper into Tricity’s underbelly, relationships, corruption, manipulation, therapy sessions, dreams, conspiracies, assassinations, romance, and some moments I genuinely cannot wait to see people react to. Fight the muscle mommy. Join the muscle mommy. Avoid the muscle mommy entirely. Or just sit with coffee and slowly uncover the city’s secrets.Read full article on Community Announcements (doadventures)AnnouncementsOfficial
It Is Time
After what feels like forever… I’m finally aiming to release Episode 2 of City of Sin tonight or tomorrow.Just a few final things left:Final walkthrough passSmall round of testingFinal translationsUploading everythingFinal numbers for the full game are now sitting at:• 2,948 renders • 33 animations • Almost 99,000 words • 22 achievements • A brand new walkthrough system • An unhealthy amount of choicesAnd yeah… this episode goes places.Massage choices and who you trust. Assassination jobs tied to your preferred relationships and desires. Fight, don’t fight, join or don’t join the muscle mommy. Or ignore the chaos entirely and spend the night drinking coffee while digging through research and conspiracy threads.Dreams. Therapy sessions. The underbelly of Tricity. An unwanted guest. And finally……standing at the door of the masquerade party.I’m genuinely really proud of this one. Episode 2 alone is already bigger than a lot of Episode 3, 4 and even Episode 5 releases I’ve seen elsewhere, and there’s still so much more still to come. The new walkthrough is something I’m especially happy with too. It’s cleaner, more visual, route aware, and should make navigating the amount of choices far easier this time around.Honestly? I’m exhausted at this point… but excited too.Thank you to everyone who has supported Jessica’s Choices and now City of Sin so far. I'm almost there.Read full article on Community Announcements (doadventures)Patch NotesOfficial
📢 Development Update – Final Stretch
I'm now in the final stretch of development for the next update of City of Sin – The Nocturne Files. What started as a continuation has grown into something much larger, with significant additions across story, characters, walkthrough and optional content.📊 Progress OverviewSince the original release:Renders: 1,693 → 2,811+Animations: 11 → 27Averaging around 280 renders per monthThis update has more than expanded the game, it’s deepened it, especially through optional encounters and branching paths.🧩 Where Am I NowThe majority of content is now complete. What remains is focused on:Final scene transitions and continuityPost-event sequences (returning home, wind-down scenes, etc.)A small number of additional narrative momentsFinal integration of message/choice systemsPolishing and flow between key story beatsThere are only a handful of scenes left to implement, primarily short, connective sequences that ensure everything flows naturally from one moment to the next.🎭 What This Update AddsWithout giving too much away:New optional encounters and side pathsExpanded character interactionsAdditional mission content and contractsMore reactive narrative depending on player decisionsContinued build-up toward the Masquerade PartyAs always, not all content will be seen in a single playthrough.🧠 Design FocusThis update has been built around:Player choice and replayabilityStronger scene-to-scene flowMore grounded, character-driven moments between major eventsWhether you choose to explore everything or focus purely on the main investigation, the experience will feel cohesive and intentional.🗓️ Planned ReleaseWith everything now coming together, I’m aiming for a mid-May release. There’s still some final scripting, testing, and polish to go, but I'm very close.Read full article on Community Announcements (doadventures)
