About this game

The Loopler is a roguelite deckbuilder about a slot car driving in mesmerizing loops. Pick cards, place gates, and collect charms. Settle into the loop as numbers go up and dopamine fills your brain. See how far you can go in the pursuit of infinity.

  • Big Variety: With a heap of different game-changing cards, create synergies and manipulate the ways you reach the goal. Will you go for big scores or will you chase insane speeds?

  • Draft your build: Pick your cards, discover synergies, and put together a winning build. Watch the cards jump as they trigger from many different sources.

  • Unique Effects: Cards can give you a bunch of different effects: from increasing passive multipliers, to spawning ghost cars, to rolling the dice for a jackpot, to triggering other cards altogether.

  • Gate Madness: Place gates on the track to enable even more synergies and enhance the craziness that unfolds.

  • Optimise Placement: Each track comes with a number of gate placement slots. Figure out the best combo order of gates to get the most out of each gate.

  • Chain Reaction: Trigger a chain of reaction of passive multipliers, unique effects, and compounding synergies that turn a normal run into a fireworks show.

  • Collect Charms: Discover and stack powerful passive Charms, which further change how your run plays out.

  • Zero to Hero: Tip the scales from a modest drive into a screen tearing powerhouse of dopamine.

  • Unleash full potential: Synergize your build between cards, gates, and charms to unlock the true ecstasy of The Loopler

Push the car beyond its limits. Fine-tune each aspect of your build, max out your cards and gates, and assemble the god run to see if you can reach infinity. Prepare for the challenge accordingly, you will need it.

9 Cars, each with their own identity and effects

9 Tracks with different looks and layouts to fully challenge your build

    Release Info & Demo Update

Heyo Looplers! First and foremost I hope you’re all excited for the release, with that in mind a new release trailer has been posted, a bite size video to highlight the game and of course its release date. Okay, so here’s a few updates, first off: The Demo Update. The current demo was released back in February, super old. So it will be getting a huge update to reflect the full version of The Loopler. With this I hope to offer everyone a chance to get a look at what’s to come with the full game and feel a little less lost come release because, spoiler alert, the game has come a long way since the demo debuted.(Note: Current demo progress will be reset)What this also means is that the playtest will be taken down and no longer be available. However do not worry if you never got the chance to try it as the demo will reflect what was on the playtest. Wrapping this up I want to make it clear that what The Loopler has become is the game I envisioned way back at the start of this journey. And the feedback received from these months of both the demo and playtest have been great for refining that vision. Incredibly grateful for all of you who have played the game, given feedback and joined the community. With all of that said: The Loopler releases September 11th at the price of $9.99 with a 10% discount on launch. On top of that a Supporter Bundle, containing Cosmetics and the Official Soundtrack, will release alongside for those interested (Completely Optional). I hope you will enjoy The Loopler and all of its new features such as:9 Tracks with 5 Difficulties each9 Different cars with unique abilitiesThe Loadout System5 Unique Challenges50 Cards30 Gates70 CharmsAnd of course Infinity Mode Plus more! Hope you all have a continued wonderful day/evening/night Cheers, Mheep

Release Update, Playtest, and Deckbuilder Fest

Hello Looplers!Long time no speak everyone! I've been hard at work behind the scenes refining and tweaking the game into a state that I would feel proud to have people play.Demo Results So Far I thought it would be nice to update you on the results from the demo as it's been a bit since the Next Fest and the "Next Steps" post. Wishlists are just shy of 50,00090,000 unique players100,000 demo units200,000 hours playedThank you to everyone who checked out the game during this time and wishlisted it.This response has exceeded expectations and I am so incredibly grateful!Deckbuilder FestLet's get into the meat of this post to update you a bit on what is happening. As of the 4th of May (the force is strong with this one) 2026 the Steam Deckbuilder Fest is live and The Loopler is a part of it. The fest lasts from the 4th of May to the 11th of May. Get in there and do some loops.Release Delay Also in other news I have unfortunately come to the conclusion that the release timing for the game will unfortunately not happen in Q2. I know this sucks to hear and I'm very sorry about having to move the release window. I feel like the game needs a couple more months of iteration and tweaking to truly be something great. So with that I will be updating the release date to say Q3 instead, I am hopeful for an early Q3 release but I cannot promise that unfortunately. Game development always takes a slight bit longer than intended. I hope this doesn't upset the people who are super excited for the game too much, I just want to provide everyone with a very good and fun experience.PlaytestWith that bit of sad news being laid on the table, I didn't want to just leave it at that and then dash off into my cave to continue working on the game and leave the masses empty handed. So as of right now the signup for the playtest of The Loopler is live on the Steam page. This is a closed signup so you will not get access immediately to the playtest, but I will instead let people in batch by batch. I...

    Results & Next Steps

Hello everyone! Now with the demo having been out for 2 weeks and the next fest over I think it's time to look at some of the results and then to the future!Demo ResultsHere are some of the demo statistics:20000 wishlists gained 40000 unique players 70000 total hours played 60 minute median playtimeThank you to everyone who checked out the game during this time and wishlisted it. The response has been so far above expectation and I am eternally grateful! Next StepsWith this period over its now time to address some of the feedback. Obviously the game has many problems, I'll just name a few here:Gold is way to easy to get making the shop both the most powerful and only thing that mattersOne OP build. Boost + refuel is so dominating that there is no reason to do any other buildFirst round is completely useless as its just the same race every timeToo RNG dependant. If you get bad RNG its over, getting no shop in 9 rounds feels terribleOf course there has been a lot more feedback ranging from everything from UI colours to lack of variety in card to the terrible RNG.All the feedback has been collected and will be evaluated and plans to mitigate the worst offenders will be made. A lot of the time from now up to the full release will be spent getting new features in place, reworking current features, and balancing things to feel better.Demo FutureThe demo will stay in its current state barring any horrible bugs popping up. I am working on a small little update with some bug fixes and a possible player level leaderboard but no promises there.I do think the demo shows the foundation for what the game is and will be in the future as so I will leave it up until closer to the full release of the game and then we'll see after the full game releases. Please do note that no progress will be saved going into the full release as there will most likely be reworks and refactors to a lot of the systems.CommunityIf you want to stay in the know for what is happening, chat with me, or leave...
