Explore the harsh wilderness of Inara as you command and upgrade your moving train, scavenging resources to survive. EverRail from Aesir Interactive blends action, adventure, and simulation in an open world where every death brings the end closer.
About this game

Your train is your only refuge in an endless frozen world. When you die, another passenger steps forward and takes your place. As long as survivors remain, your journey continues. Rescue trapped passengers scattered in abandoned facilities across Inara and build up your society one survivor at a time.

It's your base, your shelter, and everyone aboard's last chance at survival. Explore the exomoon Inara solo or in co-op with up to 4 players.

Your mission for survival lies above everything. Venture into dangerous locations filled with valuable resources, technology, hidden secrets, and unforgiving battles. But if you explore for too long, you may risk losing everything.

The train's battery recharges while it's moving and drains when it stands still. Every expedition and every decision you make revolves around this single rule. Manage your train's power, maintain its systems, and never let the battery reach zero or your journey ends. Move or freeze.

Conquer Inara by crafting new weapons, armor, tools, gliders, and essential machinery. Expand and upgrade your train as you push farther along the tracks. Attach hundreds of new wagons to increase storage, boost production, and build out your own logistics.

Your glider puts eyes in the sky over the frozen landscape before you ever set foot on it. Scout new locations, harvest rare isotopes for crafting, and identify threats from above by deploying scan drones into the depths of Inara.
Inara Never Looks the Same Twice
Abandoned facilities, deadly anomalies, and survivors waiting to be rescued are scattered across a procedurally generated world that never repeats. Every run brings new routes, new dangers, and new reasons to keep the train running.
Shape EverRail with us
The exomoon is called Inara because the community chose that name. The lore exists because players helped us refine it. Throughout Early Access, EverRail is built alongside the players. Features, systems, game balance, and story will continue to evolve based on the community that keeps the train running.
So join our Steam Community and Discord and shape the game with us!

Conductor’s Log 11: Eleven Minutes
Hello Everyone!Welcome to another of our Conductor's Logs, where our heroes try to raid another Facility - this one a train station, only this time, they've actually prepared properly.Conductor’s Log 11: Eleven MinutesDriver had managed to stop the train so perfectly that when our boots hit the station, we were covered from most sides by crates and a shelter, giving us cover from the myriad of robots patrolling the station. I watched one, pacing back and forth in the snow, and wondered, as I often had over the last couple of weeks, what on Earth (or Inara, I guess) had gotten into them, and why the machines which had meant to prepare the world for our arrival before becoming our helpers, our servants and our guards had turned on us so completely. I shook my head, now was the worst time to be thinking about anything other than what was in front of us, and I started to pay proper attention. Driver joined us on the station platform a minute later, and hissed that we had 11 minutes before the train ran dry and we’d all be dead. Shooter raised up his assault rifle, and told everyone to get ready, before sighting on a robot on the platform which was making its way toward us. He opened fire with the weapon, and I soon realised why he’d dubbed it the rave. The rifle fired bright rounds so quickly that it was impossible to look at it as he fired, and you could barely see the robot for the sheer number of impacts it was taking. Almost as soon as it started, the robot fell, and Shooter stopped firing, grinning as he whooped. I exchanged a wry shake of the head with Brains before peeking out from our cover and firing my pistol at one of the robots on the platform. The next five minutes were both the longest and the shortest of my life. As a group, we worked our way down the platform, taking out the robots with massed firepower, often before they had time to fire back. Brains tagged just behind, scooping up each corpse with the salvager, gathering more resources that we’d realise...Read full article on Community Announcements (g.crawford)Community & EventsOfficial

Conductor’s Log 10: Learning From Failure
Hello Everyone!Welcome to this week's Conductors log, where our heroes choose their next destination, work out hot soup and set up the fast travel system...Conductor’s Log 10: Learning From FailureWe grabbed another couple of wagons over the next few hours, before we decided to narrow down our options when it came to the first facility to raid on the loop. We narrowed it down to two choices - a heavily defended station, which promised a huge number of rations, or a facility slightly further down the loop, which scans had suggested would have a number of passengers we could rescue. We argued for what seemed like hours, and in the end, they all looked to me for a final decision. I came to the conclusion that, before we had even more mouths to feed, we would first need the supplies to do so, and so I made the decision that we’d aim for the station first.Driver, who’d been in favour of going for the people first, went into his cabin, grumbling and complaining like he always does, but he went with the group decision, monitoring the track as we headed toward the station. Brains was mumbling to himself, worried the cold would be too much for our exosuits to handle, and headed to the laboratory, where he whipped up a new recipe which he dubbed Hot Soup. While it uses the very rations we’re looking to conserve, it also allows us to stay warm in the freezing air of Inara, even if only for a short time. How the chemistry of it works, I’ll never know, but it did work….Meanwhile, Eyes had been studying the train, and had found there was a “quick travel” system of sorts built into the wagons, we just had to build a way to get into and out of the tube just under the main floor of the train. Brains and he spent the next couple of hours drawing up a blueprint, and soon enough, we’d cut through to the system and placed an entrance of sorts on the floor, so you could quickly climb into it. You’d end up in a sort of pneumatic tube, and would be blasted to the compartment of you choice....Read full article on Community Announcements (g.crawford)
