  MULTIPLAYER ACHIEVED, FINAL VAULT REWARD & THANK YOU

  The DownSouth Campaign is finally COMPLETE! Thank you for all your love and support💜If you had told me, when I first drew a smiley face on a purple bean all those years ago, that we’d be here right now… 1,469+ backers and over $125,071 CAD raised at 250% funding, I’d have thought you’d gone crazy. This campaign has been a real tempest of both utter surrealness and emotion, and I really have no stronger words than thank you, from the bottom of my soul.DOWNSOUTH WILL HAVE MULTIPLAYERWe've managed to achieve MULTIPLAYER, and very fittingly our final vault reward was revealed to be a unique COMMUNITY ROOM: a commemorative monument to ALL our community, art, music, moments/memories, and milestones. There might even be a few unique secrets inside waiting to be uncovered...🟩🔗KICKSTARTER: downsouth.run/If you weren’t able to contribute to the campaign throughout the initial 30 days, don’t fret! Late pledges for DownSouth will be available for a while, which means some of the more popular tiers will still be open to grab! (While others will remain purely exclusive to the campaign.) It’s also worth noting: stretch goals can be attained by additional late pledges!I've also been asked by many community members whether or not goals like the Schroeder DLC will be made later on, even if not reached by the end date of our campaign, and I am happy to report that, (while these unmet goals will not be an immediate priority,) they are not off the table for the foreseeable future.   COMBAT & MOVEMENT UPDATE AVAILABLE NOW

  COMBAT & MOVEMENT UPDATE AVAILABLE NOWOn top of a TON of fixes, a new DownSouth COMBAT & MOVEMENT update has just released on Steam for all to play. This update includes entirely new attacks, updated/faster momentum-based movement, meatier punches, BRUTAL combos and a whole host of other quality of life features. By popular demand, you can also play solely with keyboard now. (via Z,X,C and the arrow keys... Although glyphs for this play-style are not yet set up.) Check out the CHANGELOG down below for a list of ALL the new FEATURES!START A NEW SAVE FILE AND TRY OUT THE COMBAT & MOVEMENT UPDATE NOW! And don't forget to...SUPPORT THE KICKSTARTER!!--Changelog:NOTE: YOU MUST START A NEW GAME rather than using an existing save file!!!- Updated/Punchier combat - Hitting enemies, objects, crates, etc. gives the player additional momentum that launches them forward (great for combos and chaining attacks) - New "Hit Stun" effect and punchier combat sounds to add more 'oomph' to ALL combat - Using the 'breakdance' attack (attack + crouch) now launches enemies into the air. - New attack animations for when South is walking and attacking. - NEW UPPERCUT ABILITY (functions as both a double jump and attack. Can be done on the ground or while airborne)- Faster Run Startup. South now takes far less time to get up to his max speed. - Attacking now puts South directly into his run state- Removed crouch-spam speed exploit- Checkpoints can no longer be activated by being punched (less annoying)- Enemies can now be crushed by Tomato and Button Doors (For those not aware, you can also use enemies and normal crates to hold buttons down)- Level clarity fixes (More to come in future patches) - Added some more enemies where applicable + edited puzzles - visibility/visual tweaks to make areas more easy to digest - Changed the color of Terminals - Fixed certain layering issues- New control scheme for Keyboard only players (proper glyphs not yet available, but you can play with Z,X,C + the arro...
