Explore a world where your actions shape the fate of Elves and Orcs alike. As the sole survivor, Legends of Cumans tasks you with uncovering ancient secrets to confront Lord Velomdor in this richly detailed indie RPG.
About this game
Twenty years ago, the First Earth, home of the Elves, was attacked by the Immortal Lord Velomdor. From every Elf he killed, Velomdor created a creature known as a White Creature, with the goal of building an army strong enough to one day invade the Second Earth, home of the Cumans.
During the long war between the Elves and the Immortal Lord, three Elves forged an indestructible sword from a special diamond. This sword was the only weapon capable of defeating Velomdor, and because it was created by the Elven race, only an Elf could wield it. Velomdor eventually managed to steal the indestructible sword and hide it deep within the Dormin Mountains. From that moment on, the sword became known as the Secret Sword. After years of war, the Elven race was completely destroyed and transformed into White Creatures.
Only one Elf survived - Julian Baker.
You play as Julian Baker, the last surviving Elf who now lives among the Cumans, a race whose name is a mix between Cube and Humans, since everything in this world is cube-shaped, the perfect geometric form.
Chapter 1 – Road to the Kingdom
Under the command of the King of the Cumans, Julian must do everything he can to travel from the region of Reverdel to the Kingdom as quickly as possible. Solve bizarre and unusual puzzles, collect and purchase normal and strange items, explore underground areas, dark forests, and mysterious structures, and meet countless Cumans, each with their own strange stories, bizarre problems, and unique quests. Defeat the first boss, discover hidden places, earn achievements, collect special items, and find the first four Legends of Cumans, who fight for you against the White Creatures to help you safely reach the Dormin Mountains, where the Secret Sword lies.
Each Legend has its own stat card and unique abilities. Some fight fast, some slow; some lose more HP, while others consume less. To recover HP, some prefer to eat Woop Potato Chips Hot Chili, while others prefer Woop Potato Chips - Dormin Cheese. To obtain new Legends of Cumans, you’ll need to find, buy, trade, free, or earn them throughout your adventures.
Unique Battle System
Forget turn based combat.
In Legends of Cumans, every battle is time based, and each fight lasts a fixed number of seconds depending on which Legend is leading your formation.
For example:
Flint Grotovsky
Fights for 14 seconds
Loses 2 HP per enemy
Woop Potato Chips recover plus 1 HP
Victor Mandragor
Fights for 12 seconds
Loses 1 HP
Woop Potato Chips Hot Chili recover plus 1 HP
Rowan Dravik
Fights for 21 seconds
Loses 3 HP
Woop Potato Chips Dormin Cheese recover plus 2 HP

Legends of Cumans - BasketCube Puzzle (Puzzle Mechanics pt2)
To leave the region of Reverdel, Julian Baker must find a way to open the locked gate. The gate is connected by a cable to an old basketball hoop, and the only way to unlock it is by scoring with a BasketCube. In the nearby small town, a group of teenagers explain that a homeless man took their BasketCube. They want it back, but he refuses to return it unless he gets a beer. The problem is that they are not old enough to buy one.Beer costs 6 coins, and to earn those coins you will need to solve several small puzzles scattered across Reverdel. Once you have enough money, you can buy the beer, bring it to the homeless man, and he will give you the BasketCube in return. Then you can return to the hoop, make the shot, and the gate will finally open. This is one of many strange logic puzzles you will encounter in Legends of Cumans — a puzzle-driven RPG filled with absurd situations and creative problem solving.Read full article on Community Announcements (cumanlegacy)AnnouncementsOfficial
Legends of Cumans - About the Music
I wanted to share something special about Legends of Cumans. Every piece of music in the game was composed, arranged, and produced by me. From the peaceful themes of Reverdel to the mysterious and strange dungeons, dark forest areas, and bizarre logical puzzles, all the melodies were created specifically to match the tone of each scene and emotion in the story. My goal was to make every track feel unique and connected to the absurd yet emotional atmosphere of the world of Cumans. I composed everything in FL Studio using instruments, plugins, and effects that helped capture the feeling of both retro and modern RPGs.Music has always been one of the most important parts of this project, and I’m excited to finally share it with you as part of the full experience of Legends of Cumans.Read full article on Community Announcements (cumanlegacy)AnnouncementsOfficial
Solving bizarre puzzle in Legends of Cumans (puzzle-solving mechanics)
Hi everyone! With this video, I wanted to show how puzzle-solving mechanics work in the game, as well as the overall concept and absurd tone of the world. The logic in Legends of Cumans doesn’t always make sense and that’s what makes it interestingIn this bizarre puzzle, naked Cumans are protesting against clothes in front of a church. The priest refuses to look at them and asks for Blinding Pills to erase his eyes so he doesn’t have to see the “sin.” To help him, you’ll need to solve several smaller puzzles, collect coins, and buy the Blinding Pills from the pharmacy in Reverdel. Once you give them to him, he drinks them, loses his sight, and lets you enter the church where a secret chest awaits.About this game: Legends of Cumans is a puzzle-driven, Metroidvania-style RPG with an epic yet absurd fantasy story. You play as the last Elf in the land of the Cumans — solving bizarre logic puzzles, collecting both normal and strange items, and discovering the “Legends of Cumans” who fight alongside you on your journey toward the Secret Sword — the only weapon capable of defeating the immortal Lord Velomdor. I would really appreciate your thoughts on the design, concept, sound design, mechanics, and story. Cuman LegacyRead full article on Community Announcements (cumanlegacy)AnnouncementsOfficial
I made a unique time-based battle system in my indie RPG – Legends of Cumans
Hey everyone! I’m Cuman Legacy, the solo developer behind Legends of Cumans — a puzzle-driven, comedy-filled RPG where you play as the last surviving Elf.In this first developer update, I wanted to show one of the most unique parts of the game — the time-based battle system.Unlike most RPGs that use turn-based combat, every fight in Legends of Cumans lasts a set number of seconds. Each Legend has their own stat card that shows their attack speed, how much HP they lose during a battle, and how many Woop Potato Chips are needed to recover HP. Watch the short gameplay video here: Each Legend fights differently — some are fast but lose more HP per enemy, while others are slower but more resistant. You’ll need to manage your healing items (like Woop Potato Chips – Hot Chili) wisely to survive the waves of White Creatures. For example: Flint Grotovsky fights for 14 seconds, losing 2 HP per enemy, and Woop Potato Chip recovers +1 HP. Victor Mandragor fights for 12 seconds, losing 1 HP, and Woop Potato Chips – Hot Chili recover +1 HP. Rowan Dravik fights for 21 seconds, losing 3 HP, and Woop Potato Chips – Dormin Cheese recover +2 HP. This battle system is designed to keep every fight fresh, challenging, and just a bit absurd — exactly in the spirit of Legends of Cumans.Thank you all for following this journey! More updates are coming soon — including new puzzles, characters, and strange places to explore.
