Darkness Update! Patch 1.1.1
Welcome, fellow Demonhosts. While we keep working on bigger updates and on Demonherd 2, we cooked this small patch for you. This update focuses on both bugfixes and a new light system for the game! Our next big addition to Demonherd Dungeon is planned for October, featuring new costumes. new scenes and hopefully even more bugfixes.New Features:Reworked the game's light system. Torches, lanterns and candles will now cast their light in the darkness of the labyrinth. The player's vision is reduced from the previous build, to compesate for this. You can now read the item descriptions during a battle! You can now see the enemy drops in real time. You can now see the number of stacks of Toxin and Scorch.Balancing:Rebalanced some neutral and character specific cards to improve their utility. The focus was starting cards like Slam and Double Strike which now should feel much more useful.Bugfixes:Fixed the hand duplication bug.Fixed drawing a status card at the start of the turn or during an effect duplicating the ongoing effect.Fixed being reduced to 0 HP by a status card at the start of the turn can cause a crash.Fixed the status icon flickering when inflicting a status on an enemy with Block or Barrier.Fixed the last card of each character not dropping from the shops.Fixed hitting an enemy with Shock state and then drawing a status card can leave the enemy alive at 0 HP.Fixed Melana's dungeon event soflocking the player.Known Bugs:Equipping an item that grants extra card slots in the deck continues to give its bonuses even after being removed once the deck is built.Rarely, discarding or exiling cards can produce unexpected results, creating “ghost” cards or filling the hand with unusable fake cards.Thank you all for your support! Summer Update! Patch 1.1
Welcome, fellow Demonhosts. It’s been over a month since the launch of Demonherd Dungeon. We’ve taken this time to gather your feedback and put together the first of a long series of updates that will gradually fix various bugs and glitches while adding new content to the game — all completely free, of course. These patch notes are divided into 3 categories: New Features, Balancing, and Bugfixes. We’ll aim to release a new update every 2 months to keep the experience fresh for everyone. On second thought, I believe it’s more appropriate to make it even “hotter”… so these updates will always include new costumes and new scenes to enjoy in the dungeon! With that said, here are the patch notes!New Features:Added 8 new character scenes.Added 4 new costumes unlockable with Nightmare Essence. It is now possible to exchange one Magikatoken for a Protein Drink at Vinga’s Guild.Added a Bonus Chest to the guild. We’ll use this chest to give free items to players when needed.Added 2 new items: Golem Core and Holy Grenade. You can drop the first from Ancient Golems and the second from the urns of the catacombs.Added 3 new Jewels! These items focus on increasing the Exp Gain of the character. You can reclaim the Experience Ring for free from the Bonus Chest in the guild.Added 5 new relics! This will open up new build options for a lot of characters.Balancing:Rebalanced the character critical system. Critical can now only be upgraded by 10% at a time, costing 4 Level Points per upgrade.Rebalanced Healing Power. You now get roughly twice as much per Level Point spent compared to before. Seluna’s items and cards have been rebalanced accordingly.Moved the recollection sphere from the left balcony to the right one, much closer to the character switch.Magikania will now ask you Magikatokens starting from Deep instead of Abyss.Rebalanced the final boss fight. Its second phase is now slightly weaker, but the first phase has been made more dangerous.Increased the rewards from interacting w...Read full article on Community Announcements (Axl Crow)AnnouncementsOfficial
3000+ Units and Bonus Content
And here we are.We waited a few days before posting this because we were honestly blown away by the numbers. Demonherd 1 sold 3,000 copies in 6 months… this game hit that in less than a week. A huge part of it is thanks to the insane amount of wishlists we managed to get — we’re almost at 30,000 now! The first game barely had 2,000, so yeah… we’re pretty damn happy with how this turned out.Not everyone seems to be enjoying the game though. Right now the review score is lower than our first one. I’m not super surprised, to be honest. The early game in Dungeon is a lot more demanding than Demonherd 1, and maybe we didn’t do a great job explaining just how much more challenging it would be compared to the first game.My game design philosophy has always been the same since Demonherd 1: I don’t want to make a game that’s just hard. I want it to be challenging, but in a way that feels really satisfying once you understand how everything works. A lot of people found it frustrating, sure… but a lot of people also found it genuinely fun and stimulating (in more ways than one, if you know what I mean). If you really wanted to love the game but got stuck or frustrated in the early game, I strongly recommend joining our Discord. We’ve got a really helpful community there that’s more than happy to give you tips and help you get into the groove so you can actually enjoy Demonherd Dungeon properly. But I’m rambling a bit, and I know walls of text aren’t great, so let me try to get your attention back real quick… here, have some boobs:As some of you completionists might have noticed, this is a brand new scene that isn’t in the game yet. Which means it’s time to talk about all the free updates and content we have planned for the next few months! At the end of this month we’re dropping the first big patch for Dungeon. It’ll fix all the bugs that have been reported and that we can actually fix on our end. Unfortunately some bugs are tied to the Card Combat plugin made by the guys at Myth...Read full article on Community Announcements (Axl Crow)
