About this game
Veinrider is an incremental game where you upgrade a gravity-flipping mining craft and navigate through the caves of an alien world. Each run yields more resources you can invest into permanent upgrades, turning your fragile rig into an unstoppable mining juggernaut.
♦ Upgrade your ship: mine resources, trade them in, and steadily improve your ship’s shields, weapons, and systems
♦ Satisfying controls: simple gravity-flip controls inspired by classics—easy to pick up, deep to master
♦ Procedural Terrain: every time you play, the alien caverns are different
Dig, upgrade, and push deeper—until the planet gives up all it has to offer.

Demo Update — Know More, Break More, Go Deeper 🚀
Gamescom week is here, and the biggest Veinrider demo update so far is live. Free, right now, no queue.New ways to break rock — Chain Lightning & Tile ExplosionsChain Lightning hits blocks in random interval and can just be the difference between getting through and crashing, but mostly it feelss cool! Tile Explosions add an upgradable explosion chance to each tile, freeing a big chunk of terrain when it fires.Knowledge is an upgrade — Veindex, Stats & MapThe Veindex is an in-game encyclopedia that fills itself with information on everything you encounter as you dig. Every mineral, hazard and structure you encounter gets an entry explaining what it is and how to handle it. Stats give you precise information about your ships attributes. Together with the new map, you can start exploring with more intention.New challenge levels - ExcursionsSelf-contained challenge levels with their own layouts and rules. Unlock them as upgrades, clear one, earn Mission Tokens and spend them on advanced upgrades. Short and focused, they are a change of pace from the main descent. Also in this updatemacOS supportperformance optimizationminor fixes and quality-of-life improvementsThe demo is free and takes about 1 hour to complete for a first run. If you played an earlier build, it automatically starts a new game, as it is just too different and the upgrade tree is worth exploring again. This has the structure of the full game as well, so you won't have to play the beginning a third time ;)Feedback is very welcome, here, on Discord or in the discussions. I read all of it.Have fun!Read full article on Community Announcements (fabian.schaub)AnnouncementsOfficial
Endless Mode, Controller and Steam Deck support, Veindex. Endless Mode!!!
I added an endless mode to the demo! The plan for the final game is to add multiple endless modes that revolve around different mechanics of the game. This current one enables you to repair hull by collecting red minerals and refuel by collecting meteorite, a mineral you will only find very late in the main game.I'm super curious what your highscores are, feel free to post screenshots here! Also I added controller support, so all requirements for Steam Deck support are now fulfilled! I'm curious for feedback on how the experience is like.Apart from that, I added a lot of small things, like the option to turn off CRT-effect, an early version of the "Veindex", an encyclopedia that keeps track of things you encounter and many bug fixes.Have fun with the update, looking forward to your comments!Read full article on Community Announcements (fabian.schaub)AnnouncementsOfficial
Localization added!
I added localization capabilities! In addition to English, Veinrider is now also available in German, French, Spanish, Chinese (simplified), Korean and Japanese. I added pretty dynamic localisation functionality and adding more languages will now be less work, namely the actual translations.Have fun and let me know how you like it if you're playing in any of the new languages!Read full article on Community Announcements (fabian.schaub)Patch NotesOfficial
Major Demo Update!
The demo received a massive overhaul! The game just got bigger and better in most regards, here’s what changed:♦ Much smoother performance — the heavy GPU usage has been fixed ♦ Visual overhaul across the game ♦ Two new biomes to explore ♦ A small surprise waiting deeper in the caves Please note: Because the upgrade tree and overall progression were redesigned, existing demo save files will reset when launching this version.Thank you for all the feedback so far — it was invaluable to this update!Read full article on Community Announcements (fabian.schaub)AnnouncementsOfficial
