About this game

A GOD'S GREATEST SIN IS THE BIRTH OF ITS CREATION

Panopticon does not reveal its secrets. So you are going to have to learn them on your own. So you will die. A lot. But metal is cheap, and parts can be swapped. Thus, you can keep trying as much as you need. It is not you catching the bullets anyway.

Experience:

  • Over 3000 lines of dialogue

  • 6 unique Endings

  • 7 unique Bosses

  • Almost 200 unique Upgrade pick-ups

  • And much more

C424 "Cara" - Gen 4 Combat Android

Your weapon. Your arms and legs. The instrument to enact your will. She is yours to command and yours to do with as you see fit.

Or your trusted partner, your missing half, and maybe, even your friend. It all depends entirely on you.

Each run will leave its mark on her body.

Take care of her well!

Deep, Multi-Layered Lore

Explore Strata 13 and discover the origins and horrors of the Human-Android conflict that spans millennia.

Learn about the fractured humanity, shattered and spread through the hundreds of Strata which encompass the Megastructure and the vicious Androids, organized into an ultimate extermination force, trying to hunt humanity down to extinction.

Fight, Unlock, Upgrade

Defeat enemies and use the data and upgrades you collect to turn C424 into a weapon that fits your playstyle. If only fate would be so kind as to give you what you need. But the Admin must make do.

Will you trade speed for defense?

Make your bullets bounce between targets?

Or bypass all safety restrictions to triple  your fire rate?

About the Project

Developed independently as a solo project with a bit of help from some very good friends. I wanted to see how far I push the idea of ASCII art. This is the result: Story, lore, crazy action beats and a "must protect" companion in the form of C424.

    DEVLOG 1

HelloLet's start with the important stuff. New Game PlusSeptember 10th.That's when the new update will come. Or some time around that date. Might delay it by a day or two in case I run into unexpected issues. But for now, everything is going great. Got the new boss working, made him some new sfx and I am even working on a new song. The new difficulty scaling system is working well; I also finished implementing all the new upgrades and the new enemies. I still have to test them. But at first glance, they work perfectly! Just like everything else when you make a game. SoundtrackNext up, is the the OST. I decided to add it here as a bundle you can purchase. If you wanna listen to it it's also on YouTube. This is just a way to support the project a bit more if you really feel like it. I included an extra song as a bonus in case you do buy it. And I will also add the new one in there once it's ready. So in case you do buy it, thank you very much! In other news, I am also experimenting to some tweaks to the ASCII art. I had an idea that might help make it easier to read. Or it might make it much worse. We'll see. If it does make it better, it will be a toggleable option. Now for some fun stuff.I am playing around with a concept for a new game. It is not related to BITP, it is something completely different. It is a co-op experience. In a fantasy setting. It is isometric, it has fighting, it has base building elements, it has tower defense elements. And it is going to be fully drawn by yours truly. Now... there is a small issue. I cannot really draw. I began learning a few years ago, stuck to it for like a month but then gave up because I couldn't really get the hang of the basics of... making lines. The thing is that, when I was little, like very little, I drew something. As any kid does at some point. And my parents laughed at me so much (apparently it was shit even by kid standards) that I decided that I will never draw anything ever again. I know this sounds like a vil...
