1.3.0 + Linux Native Release and Localization Update
The Linux build is going live! I'll continue running tests on Ubuntu and will most likely push a few updates throughout the week to fix anything I find. If you encounter any bugs, please report them through Discord, the Steam Community, or the in-game bug report feature (the "Bug" button in the "Controls and Guides" menu). Localization Update Localization is unfortunately progressing a bit slower than expected. We're currently preparing a Localization Test Build for the language that's closest to completion. Alongside that, we'll open a new Discord channel dedicated to translation errors, and we'd greatly appreciate any reports and feedback. Interestingly, Russian is currently the furthest along and has been causing the fewest issues so far. Chinese is currently the furthest behind. Since the game was banned in China, the native Chinese speaker who was going to help us can no longer access the game, which has made the process considerably more difficult. Spanish is currently around 20% complete. More updates on the localization process will follow soon (primarily on Discord and X unless a version is uploaded on Steam)!Read full article on Community Announcements (XforU_Dev)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 1.2.1
Update 1.2.1 is now available for both Windows and Linux_Test builds. 1.Fixed the Stonehaven portal issue. 2.Fixed all recently reported missing picture bugs. This turned out to be a common engine-related issue, so a fail-safe has been added to prevent it from happening again. 3.Fixed Cindy's quest — the Bribe option now works correctly. 4.Fixed Denver's questline — it should now properly detect whether you have the required bait and fishing pole. 5.Fixed several other small bugs and issues. Linux Exclusive 1.Added a small Linux optimization tweak. We're not sure how much of a difference it will make, but hopefully it helps with performance and stability.Read full article on Community Announcements (XforU_Dev)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 1.2.0
🐧 Linux Version — Now Available for Testing A native Linux version of Horingar: Darkside is now available for testing! The Linux build is currently still on Patch 1.1.0 while I continue testing it separately from the main build. So far, it has been performing properly on an Ubuntu virtual machine. I haven't been able to test it on a SteamDeck yet, so I'm not sure how well it will perform there. If you have a SteamDeck or Linux system and would like to help test it, I'd really appreciate the feedback! How to Access the Linux Test Build Go to: Steam → Horingar: Darkside → Properties → Game Versions & Betas → Private Version Code Enter the code: linuxtesting Then select the Linux_Test build from the available versions. I'll be testing the Linux version for a few more days before officially adding it to the Steam store page. Once it's ready for release, it will be updated to the latest patch. Update 1.2.0 — Bug Fixes & Changes 1.Fixed Denver's Gallery Scene 3 — it should now work correctly. 2.Fixed Torch collision in the camp. 3.Fixed Nature Weapons' Mana regeneration. 4.Mana regeneration has also been changed from a flat mana amount to % Mana regeneration. 5.Fixed a few other small bugs and issues. Thanks to everyone who has been reporting bugs and helping with testing!Read full article on Community Announcements (XforU_Dev)Patch NotesOfficial
Small Patch 1.1.0
Balance & Other Updates 1.Nature Enhancements Tier 4 & 5 and Forest Guardian Ma’la have been buffed. They now restore 10%, 20%, and 30% of Sia’s mana, respectively. 2.Undead enemies in the Swamp Lands have received a small balance adjustment. Their damage has been reduced by approximately 10%. 3.Enhancement recipe drop rates in the Swamp Lands have been increased from 5% → 12%. 4.End-game item drop rates have been increased for several items, including most of the items obtained from Hellion. 5.The city portal in Bridgetown is now closed until the castle has been unlocked. Bug Fixes 1.Nixie’s Grove portal has been fixed. A fail-safe double-check has been added to prevent obtaining a Portal Crystal before it is intended and using it to open the castle portal early. This should no longer be possible. 2.Fixed the “Always Angry” talent. The state will no longer be removed when the character dies. 3.Fixed Lamar’s picture remaining visible when choosing to start the Prison Break quest later.Read full article on Community Announcements (XforU_Dev)Patch NotesOfficial

Thanks to everyone who has been reporting bugs and issues since launch! Your feedback has been incredibly helpful, and we're working through reports as quickly as we can. More fixes and improvements will continue to roll out as needed.Read full article on Community Announcements (XforU_Dev)
