About this game

SHALTER-03 is a first-person co-op puzzle game where each chapter and characters introduces its own unique mechanics. Taking control of three characters who lack the senses of sight, hearing, and speech, players must work together to overcome these limitations and find the correct solution, all while racing against time to solve each puzzle as efficiently as possible.

Different Puzzles, Different Rules

Every level comes with its own mechanics and rules. Solutions from previous puzzles may not apply to the next. The game is designed to push players to adapt quickly and rethink their approach in every scenario.

Buff and Nerf Systems

Players can use various temporary buffs and nerfs that directly affect how puzzles and the environment behave. Using the right effect at the right moment can make a critical difference when racing against the clock.

First-Person Perspective

The first-person camera creates a direct connection with the environment. Perspective, distance, and timing are essential for both solving puzzles and managing time efficiently.

Race Against Time

Each level has a time limit. Fast thinking, precise decisions, and effective use of mechanics are key. Mistakes cost time, while mastery leads to better performance.

Hello again everyone! We've been hard at work on the next major SHALTER-03 update, focusing on making every puzzle feel more dynamic while continuing to improve multiplayer, accessibility and overall game polish. This update introduces several entirely new gameplay systems, major lobby improvements, visual upgrades, new environmental effects, and a significant overhaul to our voice communication system. As always, thank you for all your feedback - it continues to shape the direction of SHALTER-03.NEW FEATURESChoose Your Own Disability: One of the most requested changes is finally here. Players can now freely choose their disability role in the lobby. Before the match begins, they can leave their seat to explore the lobby using Discover Mode, then simply sit back down to change their selected character. This gives groups much more freedom when planning strategies and solving puzzles together.Dynamic Puzzle Systems: We're currently developing 7 brand-new interactive puzzle mechanics that will appear throughout upcoming maps. Without revealing too much, these systems introduce new ways to interact with the environment using sound, resonance, pressure, wind, lasers and much more. Every map will combine these mechanics differently, making puzzle solving feel far less predictable.Dynamic Maps: Future maps are becoming much more interactive. Players will be able to influence puzzle progression using the equipment they carry, allowing different teams to approach the same puzzle in different ways depending on what they've brought with them.New Arc Weapon: We've also started working on a brand-new experimental weapon featuring powerful electrical energy effects. We'll reveal more about its gameplay in a future update.Liquid Physics: Potion bottles now contain real moving liquid. As you move, rotate or throw them, the liquid reacts naturally inside the bottle, making them feel far more believable.Loading Screens: No more staring at a black screen while waiting for levels to load....

Hello everyone! We've reached an important milestone for SHALTER 03, the asymmetric horror-puzzle game we've been developing with great care for a long time. The SHALTER 03 demo arrives on Steam for players on June 15!With this demo, we invite you into a mysterious and eerie world set deep underground. In this experience, where communication, trust, and teamwork are the keys to survival, every decision you make will carry great weight.Use Your Team, Not Your SensesSHALTER 03 offers a fresh take on the co-op puzzle experience with its unique gameplay built on communication and cooperation. In the demo, you'll be able to play as one of three different characters:The character who cannot see: They cannot directly see their surroundings and need their teammates' guidance in order to move forward. The character who cannot hear: They cannot perceive audio warnings and auditory cues, so they must track what's happening around them in other ways. The character who cannot speak: They cannot verbally convey the vital information they notice and must collaborate with teammates using alternative communication methods.Since every player has a different limitation, success is only possible by using your teammates' abilities correctly.A single piece of misunderstood information, or one delayed decision, can change the fate of the entire team.Demo Area: Underground StorageThe demo takes place in the underground storage of the SHALTER facility and offers one of the first glimpses of the atmosphere and puzzle structure you'll encounter in the full version. As you make your way through the dark corridors, you'll contend not only with mechanical puzzles but also with environmental threats.
