Embark on a unique survival journey in Online: 404, an open-world adventure that challenges even the most experienced players. Explore vast landscapes alone or with friends, following the story or simply wandering through the game's expansive world—just remember to keep your gadgets handy.

About this game

You probably wouldn’t start crafting a pickaxe, mining ore, and smelting it in a homemade furnace if you suddenly found yourself alone in an abandoned, quarantined district.

We built this game around the idea of what a real person would actually do to survive in such a situation — in today’s world.

Your smartphone is your best friend and your worst enemy

Your main survival tool is your smartphone. You don’t have a magic book of survival tips, so if you need to figure something out or craft an item — just look it up on the in-game Internet.

Your phone also has a map, flashlight, weather forecast, annoying ads, and plenty of unreliable information.

But hey — you’ve got to survive somehow, right?

Use what’s around you

Of course, you won’t be crafting a solar panel from scratch just by following an online guide. If you want electricity in your shelter, it’s probably easier to take one off a nearby abandoned house.
Keep your eyes open — the world around you is full of things that might help you stay alive.

Fortify your shelter

Wood is your main building material, but that doesn’t mean your base can’t be reinforced.

Rip a car door or hood off an old vehicle and bolt it to your wooden wall — and all of a sudden, unwanted visitors will have a much harder time getting inside.

Look around — is there anything else you can use?

Explore the world

Make your way through a surprisingly vibrant abandoned District, observe animal behavior, hunt, farm, build your shelter, and maybe even adopt a pet.

Restore an old car, and traveling through the Leminsgale District will become much easier.

Follow the story

The district was sealed off years ago, never fully evacuated.

Those who remained lost their minds and have been wandering aimlessly ever since. They won’t welcome your visit.

But what really happened to them? Another epidemic? Some strange fungus again? Or did something far worse shatter their minds?

Together with one of the district’s former residents, you’ll uncover what truly went wrong in Leminsgale.

Play alone or with friends

Team up for the story campaign or just mess around together.

Choose one of four characters, each with unique stats and starting gear — and head out into Leminsgale District.

It’s waiting for you! Or not?

Add it to your Wishlist now and stay in touch!

    Release Date Update

Hello survivors! We hope that everything is well on your side!We just wanted to inform you that we've decided to postpone the release by three weeks, so that the new release date is October, the 16th. The reason for this is simple - we can make it on time with the initial release date, but we just don't want the deadline to be that tight. It creates extra stress and anxiety for us, while we already have plenty of it :D Postponing will give us some extra time for polishing and for any unexpected issues that may require handling. We hope that you'll still be waiting for the game to release, and we'll keep you posted!

Will you meet us in September?

Hello, survivors!Over the past two weeks, more than 60,000 people have played our demo. That’s incredible! We’re grateful to everyone who showed interest in our game, wrote bug reports, joined discussions, sent us suggestions, and traveled with us to Leminsgale County in search of new adventures. The Online: 404 demo will remain available until the end of June. After that, as we mentioned earlier, we will remove it from public access. If you haven’t tried the demo yet, you still have a little time left. In the meantime, we are focusing on polishing the full version of the game. Thanks to your suggestions, we have added several interesting new mechanics to our task list, while your bug reports helped us a lot with identifying and reproducing issues. At the same time, we realized that we will likely need more time to bring the game to the state we want. Because of that, we have decided to move the release date.Online: 404 will enter Early Access on September 25, 2026. When the game launches in Early Access, it will already include the full story and all previously announced gameplay mechanics (and maybe something else, who knows?). We are choosing the Early Access release because we plan to continue actively polishing the game. In an open-world co-op survival game, it is difficult to predict every possible situation players may encounter 🙂 We also want to remind you that the Bug Hunting Event is still on while the demo is publicly available. The giveaway results will be announced on July 1 in our Discord!Thank you to all players for your attention and interest in our game. We are looking forward to September, when we will be able to show you what the full version of Online: 404 has become, shaped by your suggestions and improved with your active involvement. See you soon!

    Doors Talks - UPDATED

UPDATE: We’ve been allowed to release updates, and the issue has now been fixed. We’re switching into Update Every Day mode.Thank you for your bug reports!Dear players,Over the last 10 hours, you've created more than 150 bug reports on the doorframe issue. We're honestly grateful for such activity, but it's not like we can do anything with it now. Presumably, someone was trying to break into our Steamworks development account, and due to Steam security measures, we'll be able to release a new version to a default public branch once the Steam support team approves this. While we have a packaged fix for more than 10 hours now, and created a ticket for the Steam support team immediately after realising what's going on, now we have to wait for their approval to release the update for you.In the past few days, we've been releasing updates twice a day to fix any issues we find as quickly as possible, but now we're technically unable to release a hotfix until Steam support responds. We're sorry for any inconveniences it may cause. We'll release a new version as soon as we are allowed to do so.Hoping for your patience and understanding!

The demo is here! And more...

Hello, dear survivors!Today we're releasing a demo version of the game at 20:00 CET. It will be available till the end of June, so that every player can try the game.Since we are a small team of two and can't test every possible scenario and computer configuration, the demo may contain bugs. We'd like to ask you to report them via the built-in in-game bug reporting tool, available from the pause menu, or, if you experienced a crash, please refer to these instructions in our Discord before launching the game again: https://discord.com/channels/1509492204144427089/1511019452488224848/1514906858249519155. Till the end of June, we'll have a BUG HUNTING EVENT.The TOP-5 players, who will have the maximum number of bugs properly reported, will receive the game keys for free on the game release. A properly reported bug is one that:1) is an actual bug (not "I don't like it in the game, please fix");2) is properly described ("I did this" -> "then this" -> "then this happened" -> "the result of all these steps" - meaning that we can reproduce the bug based on the description provided);3) is reported via the channels described above: in-game bug reports, crash reports provided according to the instructions in Discord (for the crash report - please provide your Steam UserID, so that we can count this as a bug report for statistics). We'll announce the 5 winners of the BUG HUNTING EVENT at the beginning of July.Alongside this, we're announcing an UPDATE EVERY DAY marathon. If you report a bug today, you can possibly see it already fixed in tomorrow's patch! We'll try to provide the list of fixes with every update, so that you'll be able to track the real progress. If you have any questions, feel free to join the community in our Discord. We're open to your ideas and suggestions. We're thankful for your patience and support, and see you in the St.Bunny's Motel!
