About this game
Welcome to the World of Veyora
Veyora is a medieval open-world RPG with elements of farming, survival, and adventure. In a vast, stylized world, you decide where to live and what to create – whether near a bustling town, in the lonely mountains, or by a peaceful lake. Each location offers its own resources, challenges, and opportunities.
Build, Farm, and Live Your Way
In Veyora, there is no set path. You decide what to make of your life – focus on peaceful farming, prepare for battles against dark creatures, or combine both. Build freely whatever you wish: a simple home, a sprawling farm, or a fortified base. Cultivate crops, raise animals, gather resources, and craft everything you need to survive.
Darkness and Discovery
Beneath the world’s peaceful surface lie hidden dangers. Bandits and mystical creatures roam the forests, while deep dungeons conceal treasures, puzzles, and ancient secrets. Those who dare to face the darkness will find both risk and reward.
Together or Alone
Explore Veyora on your own or together with up to four friends in cooperative mode. With loyal NPC companions by your side or as part of a group, you can explore the world, build together, trade, fight, and survive.
Veyora is an open world you shape yourself – full of freedom, choices, and stories that only you can write.

Devlog August
August is an especially important month for the development of Veyora. Following the Closed Beta playtest of version 0.4.0, I was able to collect a lot of valuable feedback, fix several issues, and continue expanding some of the game’s most important systems. The main focus has been the quest system, dialogue implementation, combat improvements, and making the world of Veyora feel more alive and rewarding to explore. The Quest SystemOne of the biggest development steps during the past few weeks has been the expansion of the quest system.Quests are no longer simply started and completed. They can now be tracked through the quest journal and displayed directly in the HUD. New notifications also inform players whenever a quest has been started, updated, or completed. The quest journal provides an overview of active quests, their current objectives, and the individual steps required to complete them.To keep the interface clear and organised, a limit for the number of simultaneously displayed quests is also planned. Players will later be able to decide which quests they actively want to track in the HUD.I have also been working on ensuring that quests can only be accepted and completed once per player. This is especially important in multiplayer, where every player needs to have their own individual quest progress. Completed quests should no longer reappear in the journal after loading a save or interacting with the same character again. The quest icons above NPCs will also be improved. Once a quest has been accepted, the corresponding icon will disappear. It will only appear again when the NPC has another relevant quest, objective, or interaction available.New Dialogue and Quest ProgressionThe quest system will gradually be connected more closely to the new dialogue system.NPCs will be able to use different dialogue depending on the player’s current quest progress. This means that after completing an objective, a character will no longer simply repeat the same dialogue.Inst...Read full article on Community Announcements (Chris)AnnouncementsOfficial
Devlog July
Hello everyone,Welcome to the July devlog for Veyora. This month has been a very important step for the project. While the next Closed Beta update will take a little longer than usual, the reason is simple: instead of releasing only a small patch, I am currently working on many larger improvements at the same time. The goal is to create a stronger foundation for Veyora and prepare the game for the first public demo, which is planned for the Steam Next Fest on October 19.Veyora is still a solo developer project from a small Swiss studio, so some things naturally take more time. But this also means that every system, every village, every hidden chest, every quest and every detail is built with a very clear vision in mind.A better world to exploreOne of the biggest topics this month has been the world itself.Veyora is not meant to be a game where you simply steal or collect everything everywhere without thinking. Instead, exploration should feel rewarding without replacing crafting, trading, farming or questing. That is why I am currently working on a more balanced loot system. Players will be able to find basic loot such as water, apples and useful small items in different places around the world. At the same time, rare loot, hidden chests and valuable discoveries will be placed more carefully. The idea is that exploring the world should always feel worth it.Hidden places in forests, mountains, villages, ruins, dungeons and even deep underwater areas around Lake Veyora can contain something useful or special. You should have a reason to leave the main road, climb a hill, check behind an old house or dive into the lake.New loot systemThe loot system is currently being improved and expanded.Players will be able to find:Basic resources in believable placesHidden chests in the open worldRare loot in dangerous or remote areasItems in villages, forests, caves and dungeonsRewards for exploring places that are easy to missThe goal is not to fill the world with endless random ite...Read full article on Community Announcements (Chris)AnnouncementsOfficial
Devlog May 2026
Hello everyone,it honestly still feels surreal writing this.A few months ago, Veyora was just an idea: sketches, systems, experiments and countless late nights in Unreal Engine. Now the first players are already exploring the world during our early closed beta sessions, and seeing people walk through places that only existed in my imagination for so long is something difficult to describe. As many of you know, Veyora is mainly being developed by one person with some support from outside, which means development takes time, but it also means every system, village, dialogue and detail is built with a very personal vision behind it. A huge amount of work during the past weeks went into optimization, stability and improving the overall gameplay experience before showing more of the game publicly. The current version of the game is already a stable experience that can be played together with friends. Even at this stage, Veyora already offers many hours - and honestly even days - of gameplay with exploration, farming, building, trading, dungeons, quests and co-op systems already working together in the open world. What currently awaits players in Veyora:Open world exploration across multiple regionsFarming and managing your own landBuilding and decorating your own homeMultiplayer co-op gameplayDynamic weather and day/night systemsNPCs with dialogues and loreBandit camps, ruins and dungeonsTrading systems and economy mechanicsAnimals, hunting and gatheringCooking, crafting and survival systemsHidden locations and discoveries across the worldDuring the recent tests, one of the biggest focuses became performance optimization. A large part of development in May was spent improving FPS, reducing unnecessary ticking systems, optimizing NPCs, foliage and shadows, and making the world feel smoother overall. Veyora does not need to run at extreme FPS numbers, but the goal is to create a clean and immersive experience that feels stable and enjoyable over long play sessions. The closed ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Chris)AnnouncementsOfficial

Devlog February 2026
We’re currently focusing heavily on performance optimization to ensure a smooth and immersive gameplay experience. Creating a fluid world – especially with the scale Veyora offers – remains one of our top priorities.Multiplayer is already working very well. We’re currently fixing a few remaining bugs and continuing to refine synchronization and stability to make the experience as seamless as possible. We’ve also started reworking the locomotion system for more natural and dynamic character movement. Alongside this, we’re implementing horseback riding – a key feature for us, especially given the size and depth of Veyora’s world. In addition, many early-game starter quests have been created to provide a structured and engaging introduction to the world and its mechanics.More updates coming soon. PS: There is a new Game UI we're working on! Stay tuned!Read full article on Community Announcements (Chris)
