Strategize your way through Around the Block, a minimalistic city builder where each block placement counts. Create the perfect layout to maximize points and dominate the game board.

About this game

Select from a wide variety of building types to develop your island. Each building has its own area of effect and can either boost or negatively affect the scores of other buildings in that area.

Strategically place buildings next to each for a bigger score boost. A bigger score means more currency. More currency means you can buy more buildings.

Strategize -> Place Buildings -> Boost Score -> Collect Currency -> Repeat

    Around the Block Demo Patch

IntroductionHey everyone, This patch comes about a week after the demo launch for Around the Block and looks to target a few bugs and additional features.Major Highlighted ChangesCamera rotation (middle mouse button) is disabled for the foreseeable future as it is causing major performance issues. Added goal completion tracking to show if the goal was completed and in how many turns was it completed in. (Note: Goal completion will not carry over to the full version of Around the Block) Bug FixesFixed a bug where having a higher tier building selected and going down a level in that building's category would still result in the higher tier building being selected despite being locked.Fixed a bug where the game would crash due to a failed attempt to validate existing save data.Fixed a bug where the "Skip Animations" settings was not working correctly after setting it from the options menu. Optimizations/Miscellaneous ChangesAdded 3840x2160 resolution support. Note that there may be black bars on the sides of the running application in this resolution. This is due to the game not being inherently designed with ultrawide monitor support. All turn summary progress bars are visually faster.Added some small optimizations that should reduce framerate inconsistencies when placing buildings. Going ForwardAs always if a bug or issue is found then using the in-game "Report Bugs Here" button is recommended. And thank you to everyone that provided feedback!
