About this game
Classic Blackjack is a focused single-player blackjack simulator built to feel like a real casino table – without ads, gimmicks, or real-money gambling.
Drag chips into the betting circles, play up to three hands, and enjoy natural pacing with clear dealer voice lines and clean animations.
Features
🎰 True casino rules – Blackjack pays 3:2, dealer hits soft 17 (H17), insurance, split and double down on hard 9, 10, 11, up to two splits, double after split, and one card on split aces.
🃏 Deck & shuffle options – Choose 1, 6, or 8 decks. Each shoe is built and shuffled with a standard unbiased Fisher–Yates shuffle, then dealt in order with no rigging or rubber-banding. A clear shuffle banner lets you know when a new shoe starts.
📊 Clear table information – Session goal and current session total shown at the top, plus Decks / Count / True Count for players who like to track the shoe. On-table reminders show “BLACKJACK PAYS 3 TO 2”, “DEALER MUST HIT SOFT 17”, and “INSURANCE PAYS 2 TO 1”.
💰 Authentic chip handling – Drag chips into the betting circles, play up to three hands at once, and watch winning, losing, and push results resolve with smooth chip animations. Blackjack pays true 3:2 using a dedicated $2.50 chip for fractional payouts.
🧾 Insurance made clear – When the dealer shows an ace, an insurance banner and on-table explanation text make it obvious what you’re choosing and how it affects the whole table.
🎓 Helpful onboarding – First-time tips show how to drag chips, place bets, and understand key table options so new players can get comfortable quickly.
🏆 Achievements & progression – Unlock Steam achievements for milestones, streaks, and playtime. Designed for both short breaks and longer sessions at the table.
🎧 Audio & presentation – Casino ambience, chip sounds, shuffle effects, and dealer voice lines such as “Blackjack” and “Place your bets” keep the game feeling alive without being over the top.
🚫 No real-money gambling – Classic Blackjack is a pure single-player simulation. There are no real-money bets, no microtransactions, and no ads.
If you want to sharpen your skills even further, you can add the optional Blackjack Trainer: Initial Deal DLC, which overlays training guidance on top of the same Classic Blackjack table (sold separately).

Classic Blackjack v1.1.6 – Session Goals, Tips & Payout Fixes
Classic Blackjack – v1.1.6 Update New / UI Added a clear session goal HUD at the top of the table (e.g. "Session goal: reach $1500. Current session: $1000"). Session goal completion now shows a banner ("Session goal complete: played 30 rounds.") and then clears properly instead of staying on screen for the rest of the session. Tips & onboarding Added new in-game tips to help first-time players understand how to drag chips into betting circles and place their first bets. Added tips that call out useful options like game speed and UI scaling so players can quickly tune the experience to their preference. Clarified insurance behaviour in the helper text so players know what the table-wide insurance option actually does. Gameplay & chip / payout fixes Implemented a dedicated dealer-only $2.50 chip so blackjack 3:2 payouts are now represented correctly in the chip animations when betting $5 and above. Fixed cases where the $2.50 chip could occasionally be left behind on the felt after a natural blackjack. Fixed a bug where the $2.50 chip for insurance could appear or pay to the dealer before you had a chance to choose Yes/No. Insurance timing cleaned up so chips only move after the player’s decision and the dealer’s hand is resolved. Reconfirmed chip logic across win/lose/push: Losing hands: chips fly from the betting circle to the dealer. Winning hands: chips fly from the dealer to the betting circle. Push: original bet chips stay in the betting circle. VO & round flow Adjusted timing around natural blackjack so chip payouts and "Place your bets" VO no longer step on each other and the round transition feels smoother and less rushed.Read full article on Community Announcements (troppoboy)Patch NotesOfficial
Classic Blackjack v1.1.4 – Shuffle Banner, Card Count & Fixes
Classic Blackjack – Update v1.1.4 New Features • Added a Shuffle Banner when the shoe is reshuffled or the deck setting is changed, so it’s clear when a new shoe starts. • Added shuffle sound effects to match the banner for extra feedback and casino feel. • Added on-table card counting info (running count and true count based on the current deck setting). Chip & Betting Fixes • All three betting circles now behave consistently: each spot shows its own bet amount while the hand is active. • Bet labels now hide cleanly when a circle’s bet returns to $0 (no more leftover numbers or mismatched seats). • Refined chip visuals so bets look correct across win/lose/push outcomes, including split hands on the same circle. Rules, Insurance & VO • Updated the in-game Rules screen with a clearer “BLACKJACK — QUICK RULES” summary. • Added a dedicated explanation of Insurance and even money: – Insurance is offered when the dealer shows an Ace and applies to your whole table bet. – If the dealer has Blackjack, insurance pays 2:1 so you effectively break even. – If you already have Blackjack and take insurance, it is treated as even money (paid 1:1 instead of 3:2). • Fixed insurance voice-over timing so the insurance win line now plays in sync with the dealer revealing Blackjack. DLC – Illegal Move Fixes • Trainer DLC: fixed cases where the trainer allowed illegal moves (for example doubles or splits that shouldn’t be available for that hand or rule set). • The trainer now enforces the same move rules as the main game, so practice hands always match real gameplay. UI & Scaling • Fixed UI scaling so menus, buttons and in-game panels stay correctly visible and clickable at all scaling levels and window sizes. • Reformatted Rules text so it fits properly inside the rules window at all resolutions (no more text being cut off on the right). • Confirmed behaviour of the moving player total label (“13 (soft)”, “20”, etc.): it tracks the active hand so it’s always clear which hand you’re pl...Read full article on Community Announcements (troppoboy)Patch NotesOfficial
v1.1.1 – Options polish & new Female Dealer Voice 🎧
Hey everyone,I’ve just pushed v1.1.1 for Classic Blackjack with a small but important quality-of-life update.🔊 New Dealer Voice optionAdded a Female dealer voice. You can now pick Voice: Male / Female in the Options menu.⚙️ Options menu improvementsCleaned up the Options layout so all the labels line up and are easier to read.Improved the UI Scale slider – you can still make the UI bigger, but it won’t blow up so much that it overlaps other text.Deck(s) and Voice dropdowns are now clearer and easier to click.🐞 Bug fixFixed an issue where cards and chips could appear before the table when returning from the menu to an in-progress hand. Everything should now fade in together like it’s meant to.As always, if you spot anything strange, please let me know on the discussion board – it really helps me keep polishing the game. Thanks for playing Classic Blackjack and for all the feedback so far ❤️Read full article on Community Announcements (troppoboy)AnnouncementsOfficial
Clarification on deck rules & fair shuffle
Hi everyone,Just a quick note to clear up a few questions I’ve seen about rules and “is the deck rigged?”.Deck options: You can choose to play with 1, 6 or 8 decks. The house edge changes slightly depending on the deck count, just like in a real casino, but the basic rules stay the same.Shuffle & fairness: Each shoe is built, then shuffled once using a standard unbiased Fisher–Yates shuffle (this is a common algorithm used in digital card games). The game then just deals from that shoe in order. The deck is never reordered mid-shoe, the game doesn’t look at your bet size, and there is no hidden “cheat AI” to force wins or losses. What you’re seeing is just normal blackjack variance.Today’s update was just to improve the store page text and add a small FAQ about this – there were no changes to the shuffle code or rules. If you have any questions about the rules or stats, feel free to ask in the discussions and I’ll do my best to answer.– MattRead full article on Community Announcements (troppoboy)AnnouncementsOfficial
Blackjack Trainer – Initial Deal DLC is out now
Hey everyone,Just a quick post to say the Blackjack Trainer – Initial Deal DLC is now live. This little add-on focuses only on the first two cards and the dealer’s upcard, so you can drill those first decisions over and over without having to sit through full hands all the time. It uses the same rules as the main game (6 deck shoe, dealer hits soft 17, double on 9/10/11 only, up to 2 splits, etc).Over the last few weeks I’ve:fixed up a bunch of bugs and UI issues people pointed outhad an external QA tester go through the game and trainermade sure the DLC hooks in properly from the main menuIf you already own Classic Blackjack and grab the Trainer DLC, I really hope it helps you feel a bit more confident with basic strategy and what you should be doing on that first decision.I’m just a solo dev doing this on my own, so if you run into any issues or have ideas to make it better, please let me know on the discussions page and I’ll do my best to sort it.Also, if you enjoy the game or the trainer, a quick review really does help me out more than you’d think. Thanks for giving it a go 🙏 – MattRead full article on Community Announcements (troppoboy)
