  Hello Shopkeepers,I’m Dafu, the creator of Jiaozi & Shopkeeper. One night two years ago, my partner and I stopped at Xijiade for dumplings. It hit me out of nowhere: Good Pizza, Great Pizza is such a solid game – why not make a "delicious dumplings" version? I knew I could pull it off.Now Jiaozi & Shopkeeper is here. We’ve poured our hearts into it, and we stand by every part of it with a clear conscience.If you haven’t heard of Good Pizza, Great Pizza – great, go check it out first. It’s a fantastic game.So how does our dumpling game stack up against the pizza classic?✅ What Jiaozi & Shopkeeper does better:Low grind, no paywalls: No in-app purchases, no premium currency. Zero pay-to-win mechanics, and we’ve worked hard to keep tedious repetitive grinding to a minimum.Continuous narrative experience: Good Pizza, Great Pizza focuses heavily on shop decoration. Our game puts story front and center, with a core focus on collecting unique customers – there’s over 6 hours of uninterrupted new customer content to discover.❌ Where Jiaozi & Shopkeeper falls short:Polish gap in art & audio: We don’t have a professional full-time artist. Character portraits are AI-generated with manual refinements – they look polished, but lack a distinct, signature artistic style.Smaller content pool: Good Pizza, Great Pizza has been built up over years. We cannot match its total content volume at launch.Tiny development team: We’re limited by resources, which is a common struggle for most small indie games.Lower brand visibility: We didn’t want to ride on the pizza game’s coattails early on. Now we feel we have our own audience, and we want to grow the cozy cooking sim genre together!!Right now, the game’s reviews aren’t where we want them to be.   Early Access is Live! Jiaozi & Shopkeeper Launch Q&A Roundup

  We know many shopkeepers still have questions, so we’ve compiled this Q&A to cover everything👇Q: When will the full release launch? A: We don’t have a confirmed launch date for the full version yet. The Early Access build is live now, with roughly 6 hours of linear gameplay. We plan to expand playtime to around 10 hours for the full release. This Early Access version is already a heartfelt, complete experience – you can dive in with confidence.Q: What will the full release pricing be, and are there upcoming discount plans? A: The full version will cost a bit more than the current build. We’ll set the final price based on how polished and complete the game is at launch. Just so you know, we don’t expect any sale price to fall below $6 within the first year.Q: Should I play Early Access or wait for the full release? A: Everything included in the full release will be available to all Early Access players. While there is still room for polish and improvements in Early Access, your feedback will shape the final full release experience.Q: Is this just a reskin of Good Pizza, Great Pizza? A: We drew inspiration from the pizza game, but Jiaozi & Shopkeeper has its own unique identity and creative vision – it is not a reskin. Making a game is like taking an open-ended test: there’s no single correct answer. It’s also like cooking: everyone ends up with their own distinct flavor.Q: Is this an AI-generated casual game? A: AI was used as a tool in creating some art and music assets. AI technology is advancing so quickly, and it will inevitably become fully integrated into daily life.Q: What are Easy, Normal, and Busy modes? A: Right now, Easy mode simulates the full dumpling-making process when you enter the kitchen. Normal and Busy modes streamline the process to focus only on what matters most to customers.
